have you ever wanted to start a podcast
but you think that you have to have all
of this equipment you have to have a mic
you have to have all this soundboard and
all this stuff to make a podcast work
for you and you think you need all this
experience well I'm going to show you
get it up and running and I'm going to
actually do a live episode of my podcast
right here on this video for you so what
is up my name is Tyler I'd like to help
entrepreneurs just like you go out and
have success when I got started doing a
podcast I've just I've had a couple
different podcasts as I started and what
happens is is I get frustrated with them
because it takes too long for me to do
it and if I have to spend any more than
10 20 or 30 minutes trying to create
content it's just not I end up quitting
because it just it's no fun so what I
used to do before is I would I would
have iTunes setup and then I have
audacity and I would have my mic I'd
have my mixing board I would do a
podcast and then I'd mix it up and I'd
make sure their audio was perfect and
and great and then finally I would put
the intros and outros and I would put it
together and then I would finally upload
it to iTunes and I would do this I did
you know close to 100 episodes and how
it's just like so frustrated this I was
like I don't want to do this anymore so
I've said don't wait up new podcast is
if I can turn on my phone hit a button
talk hits hit submit and then that's it
that's all I'm gonna do and that's what
I do with my podcast now is I just
there's a couple buttons I hit it and
I'm gonna show you what to do now this
is a microphone that I got from sure you
don't need a microphone you can do right
from your phone you can talk right into
the microphone like this I just have
this set up because I feel like it adds
a little just a little bit a little bit
more crispness to the audio then versus
the microphone but it's totally up to
you you don't need this I just add this
to my thing okay
what you're gonna need is this to set
this up you can do it quickly you can go
to a website called spreaker.com okay
spreaker.com you go there you sign up
you just name your podcast and then what
at Spreaker you're going to have a area
inside the the account that's going to
have what is called distribution now on
that distribution you're just going to
click those and it's going to send your
podcast out to iTunes it's going to
sending out to Google it's gonna send
out to Spotify it's a SoundCloud all of
these different podcasts hosting
platforms that's where you're going to
send it out now Spreaker is gonna host
your podcast for you they're gonna you
know distribute it out to iTunes and all
of that
because that's where people get their
their podcasts from now I also went to
fiber and I set up an intro and outro I
just found somebody on Fiverr that did
great voiceover in fact I found this
girl that did Australian she's from
Australia so she has this Australian
accent so I thought it was cool I did
that as my intro and outro now what you
can do is you can download this app ok
there's an app called Spreaker and what
it is is you just download the app right
here and what i did was i uploaded my
intros and my outros have you ever heard
of you know podcasts and you listen to
podcast there's always like an intro
music or maybe some intro talking well
that's what I've created and I put it
right here so what I'm going to do is
I'm gonna actually create this episode
for you and then I'm gonna do it for my
podcast I'm gonna show you how simple
this is so the first thing I do is I
just turn on the Spreaker app and I hit
record ok I hit record and then at the
very bottom down here what I do is I
turn the mic off and then I hit my intro
button okay so my intro rolls and then
right as my intro is about to end I turn
the mic on okay I turn the mic on and I
just start talking start talking and
then at the end what I do is I turn the
mic off I hit my outro and then I stop
the recording and then what I do is I
type in the title of the the podcast I
hit submit and that's it I'm done and a
lot of times most of my podcasts that I
do I'm usually in my car traveling to
the gym I like to go to the gym in the
afternoon so I just you know I hit
record talk
send it and then I've done I don't have
to worry about it ok so there's no hope
not not there's no experience necessary
and I'll show you how easy it is with
this live episode alright so what I'm
going to do is I'm going to start my
podcast and we're gonna do it right now
so this is going to be a little bit
interesting because I've never really
done a podcast in front of the camera
for you guys so here alright let's go

record I'm gonna hit record right here
now I just hit my intro so here we go
so I'm intro is going right now my mic
is not on yet so I'm gonna my Mike's
gonna go live here check my intro is
almost done
hey what is that this is Sylar so I'm
going to get my podcast going here the
cool thing is is I'm actually gonna talk
to you a little bit about setting up
your own podcast and I'm actually doing
this for my youtube channel right now so
I'm creating this video I'm talking
about you know creating a podcast and
this is the way you create a podcast and
you can do it in less than five minutes
the bet the one thing you want to do it
with your podcast is you don't need
experience you don't need all this
technical stuff you don't really need a
mic all you need is your iPhone if you
have your iPhone you can do a podcast
and you can have a great podcast that
goes out every day so here's what you do
you go to spreaker.com you sign up for
an account you create a podcast once you
get that podcast up then what you want
to do is hit the distribution so you can
send your podcast out to iTunes to
Google to Shopify to SoundCloud all the
different big podcasting platforms that
people get their podcast from from there
all you have to do is just think about
the content that you create every day
for me I like to do my podcast while I'm
traveling to the gym usually in the
afternoon so then all I do is just turn
on my microphone on my phone or turn on
the recording I start talking and then
once it's done I hit submit and then I
send it out now you'll notice from my
podcast I have a intro to my podcast so
I got that that intro from Fiverr
I went to fiber and just found something
that does voiceovers I send them a
simple script they read the script I put
a little bit music to it and then I'll
upload it to my app on my phone once I
do that and now I have my intros and
also I have my outros so all I do is
just turn on the app hit record put my
intro in Tok Tok into my you know talk
what I'm gonna talk about and then what
I'll do is I'll you know go with the
outro and then I'll hit the record
button again and it stops my recording
and that's it that's all I have to do I
have a podcast up in five minutes I'm
recording podcast every day and it's
simple easy Allen all I'm doing is using
my iPhone to do it so this is the
podcasts live that I'm doing right here
on my youtube channel so what I'm going
to do is I'm going the podcast so I can
get back to the video that way you can
guys can get some more information

all right so what I do is I turn my mic
off I hit the outro it's still recording
right now but I turned the mic off so
they can't hear me and then it kind of
rolls and all I do is I hit
stop the recording now you can see right
here the whole recording is is is done
and then we'll we'll play it
okay now all I have to do now next is
take that recording and I hit share
okay so I hit share and then I just type
in the title of my podcast and then I
just type type the name of the podcast
and then you'll see up in the left-hand
corner upload that's it so I'm done I
just did an episode did an episode right
here for you live on this show how
awesome is that
alright so that's pretty much it so
alright so make sure I upload that
correctly said so that's it and that's
how you create a podcast in under five
minutes you saw how I just did it with
just my iPhone and you know a little bit
of microphone right there so there's
really no excuse why you shouldn't do a
podcast if you think you have to have
all this knowledge and the tools and all
of this stuff you don't need any of that
okay you don't need any of that stuff
just get this app get your phone this
works on Android also so you can do it
right on Android also it works on your
computer so if you have a laptop there's
an app for your computer so you can plug
in your microphone if you want to your
computer okay so but right now you can
just pick up your phone talk into your
iPhone upload it and you have your
episodes done now all you can do is
really kind of think of the content that
you want to create I think creating the
content is the simple part I think
people get hung up on all the technology
and the things that they need in order
to make it work so there you go
