We could not find a valid SSL certificate. Especially for professional online stores this is a red flag. Any reasonable sized website makes sure communication between your browser and the website is secure. For smaller blogs or content sites a missing SSL certificate may be a little bit superfluous.

Unhelpful staff seeking to void responsibility
I tried 5 or 6 times to reset my password before the system locked my account. I contacted their support team for help and they were unhelpful. The strategy of their unskilled staff is to just delegate you between various teams to avoid responsibility; wasting your time and providing no solution to your problem.

Wouldn't say trash but the first time I…
Wouldn't say trash but the first time I tried registering a domain name for wolf.onl it never worked. So I contact support and they told me that the domain was premium sale. It can happen and sometimes it's a glitch so you know what I did... I just asked them "well what about wolf.mba? What is special?" they told me that special domains are promotions and well, I succeeded in registering :) After hearing the bad news about the first domain I didn't exactly give up on registering my first domain on namecheap. There honestly not bad people. One hint is to contact them first about the domain name you are curious about and it's price.

Great Service
Customer from may 2015 (domains / hosting VPS).
Great Service! Best professional support on my language (Russian).
Of course, they have some disadvantages (no more than similar services), but they are constantly evolving and this can be seen. You can always find an interesting offer that motivates you to stay with them. For example: I pay less for my VPS now than I did in the beginning.
My only complaint is the average speed of downloading files from the hosting (I work with large files and for me it is relevant). This does not affect the work of the sites themselves, but I would like to increase the speed. Although here I am sure that they will improve this indicator in due course.
Don't listen to negative feedback from cybersquoters and people who are so lazy that they can't deal with the billing system (although there's a wallet in place to avoid problems with access to your card at the right time).

Absurd, trap-like auto-renewal billing policy (they will not auto-renew)
So.... I pretty much loved everything about Namecheap.... Until. Until I realized, thanks to another user's very sad Trustpilot review (review ID 5d0f9f83b055990790eb9b38 by N Jarvis, June 2019) that they essentially deploy a trap-like auto-renewal policy that is SET UP to part you from your domains.
In essence, you buy a domain, put a card on file, and enable auto-renew of the domain, because why not. And you go off on holiday thinking everything is set up to be billed and paid for. They send you some emails of upcoming renewals, but why really read them, you're all set up, right? They have your card, the card is valid, it's all good, right? So you think they'll just bill your card when the time for auto-renewal comes, right? WRONG.
They won't. For some INEXPLICABLE reason, they won't bill your card unless you explicitly go into the CARD menu and THERE, TOO authorize auto-renewal to be billed to that specific card.
No one warns you of this. You will never, ever "stumble across" this option. As the other review states, it's completely buried. Even if you look for it, you will likely never find it.
So you come back from vacation and... all your domains are gone, sold off on the open market.
I'd like to think Namecheap is an ok company with good intentions, but frankly can find no explanation for this policy short of an explicit DESIRE to sneakily part people from their domains...
If this ever changes and someone lets me know I'll take this review down.
Until then, this fact alone to me is enough to overshadow Namecheap's undeniable virtues in pretty much all other respects (seriously, I loved the company until I found this out firsthand; theyre' still the best registrar if you're just aware of this).

DOMAIN RENEWAL PRICE SCAM
The past few days i planned on renewing an upcoming domain I've registered for a few years. So i checked the price each day and today (30 July 2019) it turns out the domain renewal had gotten 3p MORE EXPENSIVE?
3p is insignificant but the fact they're willing to do something like that is disgusting, it's the principle of it! They increased the price of a product simply because the renewal date was getting closer or that i logged on to look at my cart multiple times? That's just wrong. So i came on here to see their reviews and yeah, turns out they really are trash. Organisations like this give all the other good organisations a bad name.
Richard Kirdendall the founder of Namecheap should be embarrassed, a complete embarrassment to all the other amazing founders that help their customers. Highly recommend GoDaddy instead. Namecheap's desperation to charge 3p more just lost them so much money in the long run, including from others seeing the collection of bad reviews.

Domain pricing scam!
Saw a domain name that was on "sale" according to the site for $6.88, so I created my account and proceeded to make my purchase. I got all the way through my transaction and even took the survey at the end to give them a good score for the amazing domain price. I checked my domains list to find that it was not there, but the payment had gone through. After much confusion I reached out to customer support live chat at which point they told me that they could not register my domain at that price because it was supposed to be premium for $6500. After much back and forth, they claimed that it was a "known glitch in their system" that causes premium domains to appear at a regular price. When I asked them to show me documentation about this known glitch that was public, they failed to do so, and resorted to saying "It's an error...here is a refund".
All in all, they should have had some sort of public record that shows this "known glitch" so people can be aware of it before committing to a purchase. And because they knew about the glitch and failed make it known to the public, then allowed me to make a complete purchase on a domain that was labeled "sale" instead of "premium", they are going to get stuck with a false advertisement claim to the FTC from me.
Oh and I almost forgot, they attempted to bribe me with "other compensation" (yes direct quote) to keep my mouth shut when I brought up legal action. This company is complete trash and we have pretty much ruled that their "glitch" is preprogrammed to give a false price in the beginning and turn around to try and charge you more for it after you already paid.....bait and switch.
