Watch your money.. They like to take unscheduled direct debits.

As I'm sure many have said before one start is too much. Watch out as they take money from you.. Which you manage to claim back as you cancel the premium... For them to take a it again literally days later and to refuse a refund. Absolute crooks.

Racism from LinkedIn Customer Service?!?!

It's a shame to see LinkedIn with racism and profiling in 2019!!
My wife decided to setup her LinkedIn profile for the first time two days ago... she included her full name, business details, education, certificates and all the necessary details including country. However the next day she was also asked to send a photo ID (this is unheard of) but despite that, she also complied and sent as requested. That same day she was told that her account was banned citing "security concerns" and the need to "protect their community"!!

She has complied with everything, she's not from the Middle East or any war-stricken country or has any relation to such. She sent them multiple emails asking for help as to why the account was banned and all they said is they can't give the findings of their security team.

A full read of their Terms and Conditions showed no violation or anything that could have been against their rules with a 2 day old account. It's a real shame some companies still go to such levels to discriminate against certain minorities. I'll make it my mission to keep posting this level of discrimination experienced by your company and hopefully, it'll be reached by a news agency!!

NO customer Service in existence.

I asked quora as I failed to find a means of contacting LinkedIn.
I had been scammed by a nasty user (Hi Sophie!).
"Is there any way to contact LinkedIn customer support?"

This is what I got from quora, make of it what you will:

Update: Was successful by sending private messages to individuals who list their current job as LinkedIn. Honestly, that seems like a terrible way to do things - I felt like I was invading a person's privacy but I did do it in the most polite and charming way I could muster.

No. There is no longer a way to get any true response from LinkedIn.

I attempted to upgrade my account, received 9 billing confirmations and failed to upgrade after 48 hours. Below are the ways I tried to contact LinkedIn.. they all failed.

The Contact Us option now takes you to the Help Center. I can testify that posting to the Help Forum led to exactly ZERO responses.

The Help Center has an answer that says to use the Contact Us option if you cannot find your answer in the Help Center. It talks about adding screenshots and attachments, but that’s all inaccurate. The option (if it existed at some point) is removed after following the initial Contact Us option takes you directly to the Help Center. The same answer also suggests using Chat With Us at the bottom of the page… this does not exist either.

Quora topics suggest an 855 number - hangs up the moment you connect. Google Maps lists a 650 number but, when called, it gives you 1 and one option only… “Press 1 for the address of LinkedIn.” I suppose you could try sending them snail mail there to see if anything ever happens…

LinkedIn has a standard Twitter account and a LinkedIn Help account… I did public tweets and DMs… nothing after 5 hours in the middle of a Thursday (business) day. I even tried to be funny to no avail. Not even a double checkmark to show the DMs were read. Bummer.

I posted to the Help Forum… twice. Nothing after 24 hours and I expect nothing will ever come.

My billing receipts refer to customer service and the link from the email leads to Contact Us and through the hoops that lead to nowhere. (see above)

I tried to submit my account for bill review but… despite 9 receipts, it failed to upgrade so, yeah, I just got an error about not having upgraded service so, yeah, that card is officially reported lost/stolen now. No way I’m getting billed 9 (now 10) times for a service that failed.

I also had 3 contacts in common with someone who works for LinkedIn, so I sent a request to connect which allowed me to drop a note requesting info on how to get a human being.

Here’s what I did learn, while the account wouldn’t upgrade to a premium Career or a premium Business subscription, it automatically upgraded the moment I chose the Recruiter option. Obviously, not a recruiter so will not be keeping that. The very next thing I’ll do after posting this note is send my account to be reviewed by billing… if that even works. Yikes. Cross those fingers now, folks. Maybe we’ll get lucky and someone will purchase the company in the future but, honestly, the age of customer service is probably dead in the US unless we plan a revolt. I’m not holding my breath. ;^)
