    This site is a SCAM!!!

    Change.org is the biggest scam...you people at change.org are nothing but vulture scum bags and karma will get you! Using people’s emotions and often sad stories for profit and to line your pockets is nothing short of sick! There are plenty of other official ways to get a legit petition up and running. But this scum bag run site is not the way forward

    Terrible commercial enterprise which…

    Terrible commercial enterprise which masquerades as an altruistic good cause supporting site.

    Sign one of their petitions and they will harvest your email. It will get sold and resold to all kinds of spammers, scammers, and that Barrister Ngdingi bloke in Nigeria who wants to give you £10 million.

    Not to mention the spam, begging emails, and general donation crap you get from Change themselves.

    Avoid at all costs. Don't even think about signing one of their sham petitions.

    I naively allowed them to draw money…

    I naively allowed them to draw money each month from my bank account over the years. Once I learned about their fraudulent behavior I repeatedly emailed them to stop debiting money from my account. As of this writing, they haven't complied and continued to withdraw funds. Should I report that issue to the State Attorney General?

    BE CAREFUL. Images and emotional pressure not for the faint hearted!

    It's important to know that if you sign a petition you IMMEDIATELY get all the most 'trending' petitions to 'sign' or 'pass' which just goes to the next petition with same options. Its a really quick process and boy! have they smashed the 'what the HELL just happened' position. 

    So? Why a big deal you may ask! Well, I signed a political petition then the next stream of petitions presented with horrifying pictures of mutilated animals interspersed with highly emotive petitions which are hard to NOT SIGN!! Honestly, by the time I had realised what was happening the images were embedded in my my mind. I feel heartbreakingly sad and angry that this manipulative ploy got me. 

    You are asked to donate often, to share and if you say 'not now' they ask you to reconsider. Emails are immediate and begging begins. Fortunately I used my junk email address, did not donate, did not log on with a password and unsubscribed immediately via the link on one of their emails. 

    This site feels like it presents as an honest place when in fact it is an imposter.

    Nagging, manipulative design

    Not visited for some time, but the site is now horrid, Signing a petition involves navigating layers of pages nagging you to contribute money or share on social media, finishing with the heart-tugging "X needs your help" popups, which just reccur when you click on the confirmation email.

    I'll think twice about anyone using change.org in future.
