They need to take a leaf from Amazon book as honestly for a big company they are clueless about what customers need. We canceled a booking and then said get no refund.

Booked hotel for 7 nights for £1295
Paid bill before it was due.
Got charged £1308.53 plus £39.13 non sterling transaction fee.
When I paid I was asked to pay £1295 only.
When contacted customer service, they asked for bank statement.
Sent all relevant documents.
All we got back was an amended booking confirmation with a different amount.
Will not use this site again.

Excellent service

Makes it easy to find suitable accommodation for wherever you’re travelling to. They always have a good range of choice and prices, with good info and reviews on each property to help decide. Would recommend the app for an extra ease in making and managing bookings when on the go. Also a nice bonus to get £15 after a recent booking for using a friend’s referral link.

Booking.fraud

So bad I wish I could leave a review with out selecting a star. Where do I begin with booking.fraud. Booked a trip about two months ago, just so happens that the hotel they showed online was not what it appeared to be in person. From the room smelling like dead fish to having a portable fan full of dust. Oh and the famous pool closed because of an infection in the water of some sort. Also not sure if the average person knows but “booking.com” has 3rd party booking meaning they send money to the owner of the room you are staying in without you ever knowing it was booked under someone else’s name (What a joke) we’ll I ended up cancelling and tried to get a refund, this is when it got funny the customer service rep asked if their was a near by CVS where I would have to buy a gift card so they could refund me the money into that. And in return they would refund me -$42 into my account immediately. Which is where I asked why not return the full amount and not waste my time with some fraud and fake way to return my money. We ended up not doing it and called back the person we got this time returned the $42 into my account and said the rest would be posted into my account in 7-10 business day. Ladies and gentlemen let’s just say it’s been 2 months and my money is no where near to be found and booking.fraud doesn’t answer phone call unless is with a booking number which mine has expired. Over all a joke of a company and I’ll be seeing a lawyer this week. Thank you and good night.

Do not use this company if you want a nice holiday.

I had booked for the first time using Booking.com and completely regret it. All payments were made to the hotels as per the specified times (weeks if not months in advance)however less than 36 hours prior to my flight, I received an email telling me my booking had been cancelled and that I would need to find another alternative hotel. I was also informed that my money would be refunded within 7 - 12 days, thus meaning I could not use it to book a new hotel. Booking.com offer NO help whatsoever. THERE IS NO SAFETY NET USING THIS COMPANY. do not risk it please.

The reason my hotel was cancelled ? They had overbooked. Did the hotel get fined as I would have done if I had cancelled 36 hours before my visit ? No.

Reference number attached to this review to assure anyone thinking about risking it that this is not a hate rating and that I am infact telling the truth.

Worst customer service I've ever had

Worst customer service I've ever encountered! I had a property cancel on me, I called and was told Booking.com would give the property 5 days to reply or they would be invoiced for my refund. 5 days later, I call back, get told to wait 2 days. I call back 2 days later, get told to wait 5 days again. And the whole time I am not allowed to speak to a supervisor! They genuinely do not care. I talked to my bank about disputing the charge, and they tell me to put a request in writing to booking.com to prove I have contacted them. I do, only to be asked for proof of the charge again, which I already gave the first time I contacted them! Terrible, terrible service. I will not be using them again. (My advice to anyone else - dispute the charge with your bank.)

Still waiting for a response after emails

Still waiting for a response after 4 emails. Customer service is terrible. They never respond and if you try to call you will never reach anyone. I will never use them again. We had an issue outside a property and they will not even post my review. My wife was robbed in front of a hotel and I posted it. Dont believe the reviews on their site as they only post the good ones.
