today I am going
to try and follow a drag
makeup tutorial
I've been seeing this whole
I tried a
blank makeup tutorial trend
all over
YouTube lately and I
figured it'd be
really fun to try youtuber
Ashley feasel
recently did this where she
recreated a
Trixie Mattel makeup look
and I thought
it would be super fun to
try and do
another Trixie Mattel
tutorial and see
how that works out for me
but look we're
gonna be recreating is
gonna be one of
her more simpler looks if
you could even
call it simple but it's
very beginner
friendly or so she says I'm
gonna be
following along right here
on my phone I
have the video pulled up so
I'm gonna
watch it as I go and we're
gonna do this
step by step okay so step
one is
eyebrows which is probably
the part that
I'm most nervous about
because I've
never glued down my
eyebrows before you
want to cover your eyebrows
honestly if
you're being me and you're
not i browse
aren't touching your
hairline it means
you're not being brave and
are you gonna
go through life being
afraid I used to
cover my brows a different
way and then
on my season when pearl did
my makeup
she took the glue stick and
she did like
circles like this and it
really it's a
great technique so I
recommend just
doing a little baby circles
I feel like
me with no eyebrows is
gonna be a look

you want the hair it'll be
flat to your
skin and then I like to
take a normal
little baby wipe and that's
what I used
to clean up the perimeter
of the area on
the glue while your
eyebrows dry you can
start on this half of your
face I'm
going to use a big fluffy
synthetic
brush because it doesn't
suck up the
product so it's basically
plastic
bristles so I like to use
this lighter
color and you want to think
like
tangrams shapes on your
face

yeah we're going to go in
with another
layer of our purple glue so
then we're
gonna start getting real
crazy with
these deeper foundations
you want to
give yourself a full chin
strap and
don't be afraid of the
geometry lines

she didn't explicitly say
it in the
video but she actually goes
back in with
concealer to sharpen out
these triangles
and then we're gonna take
at the deepest
shade I use we're gonna use
this to
really just like that
corner they face
make it really deep okay
I'm starting to
get some Trixie vibes we're
gonna move
on to the nose - railroad
tracks then
I'm gonna take that
lightest color and
it's you know it's I'm
brave so we're
almost near the end of the
painting of
the contouring but we can't
forget the
forehead and because your
eyebrows are
still drying we're just
gonna go around
it and then we're just
going to do a
brown halo

she's real tan
she just got that from Cabo
so I set my
cream contours and
highlights with
powder cream contours and
highlights so
I'm going with a really
deep skintone
color of powder and I'm
going to use a
little straightedge so
while that kind
of goes on the deeper color
in the
cheeks I'm gonna go with a
really light
I mean I work with two
extremes because
I really want to see the
highlights in
the contoured see I'm just
gonna get
more of a pop before we
finish the
contouring I'm gonna tape a
really deep
brown color on that fluffy
brush and
just like we did with the
paint I want
to just deepen the edge of
this just the
end we're gonna do some
blush I look
like a doll
I look like a little
porcelain doll
right for my final layer of
glue stick a
lot of people know this it's
gross I'm
sorry I lick it it's
non-toxic don't
come for me and I use that
wet glue
stick to kind of seal in
that top layer
because the moisture makes
the top layer
of glue softer and then
while the top
layer is a little wet this
is important
you only have a small
window here you're
gonna take that loose
powder and set it
because if you said it
while it's wet I
feel that the pressing kind
of flattens
the top layer of glue get
rid of the
excess of that because now
that we
finally finish the brows we
can marry
this top section with the
rest of the
face no eyebrows is really
tricky
all right now let's
continue before we
go on
we're gonna set a layer
like a
protective barrier under
the eyes of
loose powder so we don't
spill any of
the product on the cheeks
so I designed
that makeup look for you
guys that is
only black eye shadow and
white eye
shadow get into it this is
high roll I
take my little shadow in a
little bit of
contact solution and that
way I'm gonna
use it like an inkwell so I
can wet my
little flat brush
now look right in the
mirror and I'm
going to sketch out the
shape I like to
kind of draw my top layer
my top line of
the winged eyeliner and
then I just have
to bring it down

scary part is over actually
not really
because I have to get it people
on both
sides same brush same
product research
to the eyelid okay so I'm
gonna look
right in the mirror and I'm
gonna think
about the shape of the Iowa
so I'm gonna
go in and I'm gonna sketch
in the crease

quadric see not only for
her makeup
talents but for the
confidence to just
do stuff like this this is
a pro tip you
don't need another product
I'm gonna go
back to my brown powder
that I used to
contour and I'm gonna
finish off the
edges of the black with my
face powder
[Music]
we're going with a little
bit that brown
eye shadow that we used
earlier on our
cheek and I'm gonna wet my
brush and
just use a little bit on
that angle
brush you know with some
white body
paint gonna go in and paint
in that
eyelid taking the same
product I'm going
right under my eyes and I'm
painting
right up to but not over
dialer

and I've been going to bed
and then
closing your eyes then you
open them and
it's like what going here
and I start to
paint this baby clothes you
don't have
to have the black perfect
down here
because we're gonna put
some glitter
over it so it's really
gonna it's gonna
buff out a lot of your
mistakes glitter
is a great tool to cover up
mistakes I'm
patting in this little
glitter and I'm
gonna put on some lashes
cuz my eye
makeup is so crazy I want
you guys to
realize we're not wearing
them on the
lash line we're wearing the
flashes like
in here in the pocket of
your on your
bottom lashes you have a
whole lot of
options I like something
really chunky
it really gives me like a
60s kind of
fantasy on the bottom so
our lashes are
on and I think they're dry
and it's
starting to really look
like a whole
Trixie makeup look you have
a really
stark old dark eye and I
want a like a
light light light lip the
shape of the
lips I mean go big don't play
games with
me no buddy you're not
Trixie if you're
just following your lip
line that's not
gonna look cool
oh honey oh so here is the
final look
I'm really shocked by how
it turned out
I had no idea what was
gonna happen I
expected the worst and I
think it turned
out pretty good I've seen
drag queens
that we're pretty wearable
everyday
makeup and this was
definitely not that
so that made it a little
bit difficult
just all the extra steps
and all the
exaggeration in the lines
of the face
but it came out very Trixie
and I'm
super happy that it came
out the way it
did because I feel like I
did her
justice hopefully she
thinks I did it
