Goal Setting: A Guide To Setting And Achieving Your Most Precious Goals

Today in this video we will be talking about how you set goals and actually achieve them.
We are also giving amazing free stuffs which I will talk about it at the end of this video.
The problem is everyone wants life to be greater but almost all of us get stuck at times or
something prevents us from doing what we really are capable of doing whether shifting a relationship,
turning around our finances, getting in proper shape.
Instead of being happy, we get stuck with the belief of how we are not supposed to be,
what we are not supposed to do, what we are not capable of.
We are stuck in the emotional pattern of being pissed off or being frustrated.
Sometimes we are stuck in our habits of doing things in certain ways and that is because
we lack proper planning and proper motivation to achieve our goals.
So the first step to achieve your goals is knowing yourself.
Take some time off to ask yourself what do you exactly want?
What is it that really motivates you?
This can be anything from getting better at relationship, improving your physic, or excelling
at your job.
Draw your wheel of life where you ask yourself if this is zero percent satisfaction and if
this is 100% satisfaction in all the areas of yourself, how would you rate your life
today?
So here you go may be health, I think I am at 50% and there is so much more I can do
about it.
Family - My family and I are doing well, but we can do lot together.
Career, ok it is not going great, it is still not where I want to be, so I will really have
to work on it.
Travel, I did not travel anywhere last year and this year there are places I want to go
to.
Relationships, ok we are in love but I need to work on my insecurity issues.
Contribution, I did not contribute or did any social work last year and this year I
want to contribute.
Social fun, I have a great social life with good friends and I will continue that this
year as well.
Wealth creation, I feel I did well but still not enough to keep me secure, so I will work
on it.
Once you do this, you will get a perfect sense of your life and what needs to be improved.
Step 2 is to set your goals.
After assessing, set your goals.
What are the things you want to improve?
Lets say you need improvement with your health.
What are the 2-3 things that you need to work on?
Do you want to run a marathon, do you want to fit in a certain pant size, ask yourself
these questions and set your goals.
Write them down and put a time limit to it.
Same thing goes with your relationships, career, social life, traveling and all the other aspects.
Once you write it down, look at this list every morning.
Step 3 is to create short term goals.
Once you write your goals, you might realise that there are far too many things you need
to accomplish.
You might even get scared.
Dont worry, dont concentrate on it too much.
When you see the list every morning, ask yourself what is it you need to do today to achieve
your goal.
Plan your day accordingly.
Lets say you are into sales and your goal is to be the best sales executive by the end
of the year, what is it you will do today about it?
How many calls are you going to make today to achieve your daily goal?
Break your main goals into weekly and daily sub goals.
It will be easier then.
Make your priority list daily by using Eisenhower Matrix.
According to this matrix, any task could be judged on 2 factors - how important the task
is and to what extent the task is urgent.
Give the highest priority to the tasks that are both urgent and important.
For tasks that are urgent but not important, delegate.
For tasks that are important but not urgent - put them on your calendar and do it later.
For tasks that are neither important nor urgent, you can skip them and save time.
This exercise will not only help you in prioritizing your tasks, but will also help you in saving
time.
The 4th step is to be consistent.
This is the most important step.
You might have an excellent plan to achieve your goals but if you are lazy and not consistent
enough, you will lose.
My goal is to achieve 10,000 subscribers in 6 months and for that I need to be consistent
with my videos.
Likewise to achieve anything you will have to put efforts continuously.
To make it easy, keep a track on your efforts.
If you are not achieving you short term goals, analyse where you are going wrong and start
working to improve on it.
Also don’t be too harsh and reward yourself when you achieve your weekly or your monthly
goals.
