start a YouTube channel and you want to
get your first 10,000 subscribers fast

YouTube channel you all want to create
your own personal brand since one of the

what other people need to know to start
a brand new channel and get it to ten
thousand strong as fast
this guy's fire I love it number one
copy proven videos so look at proven
are crushing it that are popping really
hard right now but also that I've had
some kind of consistency that it's not
just some dead topic that's gonna fat
out right something that has some
leverage and long term longevity to it
but it's also popping hard right now and
then you want to make a 10 minute
version of that video that is better
hopefully with your knowledge than the
original and so why 10 minutes YouTube
those 10 minutes
YouTube love cent minute YouTube loves
10 minutes there's no maximum right my
best video is a 45 minute video 5
million something views on the channel
yeah but under 10 minutes it's really
hard to get a video ranked just look at
your own experience go to your home your
home page on YouTube see how many short
to three minute videos there are the
only ones that will ever rank our music
videos right short bit sub 5 is only
music videos because they get to repeat
people are we clicking that video and
listen to it over and over and over
again you don't get that for
thought-leader kind of videos so you say
like model proven content how do people
find groove in content and their needs
they're literally just searching on
YouTube or what yeah well so pick a
category what if what if people wanna be
known for commerce great ecommerce you
go ecommerce type it into YouTube type
it into Google Trends and filter for you
too right and then just see what are the
kind of videos that are starting to pop
hard right now watch the video and then
see what can you add to it how can you
make it better right right so this guy's
pumping out a video you say screw that
guy I can make something way better than
this guy great copy his video and make
it better and then make it 10 minutes to
make a pure fire dole
then you'll outrank me so somebody sees
two videos right one has two million
views it's two years old one has a
hundred thousand views it's one month
old which one do they watch what do they
model probably the hundred K but I'm
paying attention to is that two million
where did the views come from right so
if you use a plugin like vid IQ which is
free you can see how how that traffic's
been picking up so was it all like a
million nine in the first month and then
it's been dead for the past two years or
is it all like nothing and then boom it
took off right now the momentum is what
you want to pay attention that's a fire
tip that I'm literally gonna use in my
own channel so that's number one guys
model proving content whatever you want
to make videos about literally search
them in YouTube find the videos that are
popping and then remake it and then of
course make it ten minutes long so that
was number one hits with number two
people don't understand how the YouTube
algorithm works and what you want to
target is suggested videos and the best
way to do it is understand that YouTube
wants people to stay on YouTube forever
right your job is to keep people on
YouTube forever if your videos are
keeping people on the platform they're
gonna reward your videos and pump out
that content for you give you all the
rankings that you want and so you need
to pay attention to your data and this
sucks like people aren't data heads we
don't like looking our data or we want
to just create but YouTube gives you the
best data and you have to pay attention
to it so for example at the beginning
most people start their videos in a
really crappy way right hey guys welcome
back it's me and I'm so excited it's
another day we're gonna talk about
garbage like people are out in the first
5 seconds you probably lost 20 percent
of your audience they're gone poof what
you want to do is think about what is
the hook like right away you got to
catch me think about your own
experiences like you're you're flying
through you're flying through you're
scrolling you're scrolling you're
scrolling if you don't hit people first
in the first five seconds they're out so
you want to think about what they're
using suspense like you take the most
dispensable moment the most like oh
what's about to happen and you put that
at the beginning or you you the biggest
knowledge bomb right and lead with it so
there's some curiosity people don't want
to stick around and watch it it has to
be in the very first beginning of the
clip because people YouTube wants you to
stay on YouTube forever and if you've
already lost fifty percent of your
audience in the first 15 seconds of your
video you're losing right and so for any
video you can go to the
again go to your studio in the back end
and look at audience retention for every
video that you've done that's over two
weeks old look at audience retention and
your goal is to be at 75 percent plus
audience retention at one minute so that
means 75% of the people who watch the
video at the beginning are still
sticking around and then at least 50% by
the end of the video if you get that if
you hit those numbers your channel will
explode and so look at that graph and
see anytime there's a massive drop
whatever you did there
sucked and you need to destroy that and
never do it again destroy it right and
if you ever see it go up audience
retention that means people rewound the
video to watch that part again let's
fire fire do that more again right
YouTube gives you the best data to be
able to make decisions to say okay that
part sucks this part is great
do more that thing that was awesome and
stop doing the crap and so that happens
off in the beginning most people's
beginning videos suck too much intro not
enough value they're out gone finito
goodbye and then at the end they do the
same thing the unusually sucks the most
videos as soon as you start saying thank
you guys for watching but god they're
gone they're gone they're gone they're
leaving yeah that's what you do that's
your own experience that's what you do
as soon as he starts saying okay guys
thanks for watching God God boom God and
they ignore the last however long your
exit is they're gone so never do that
right the entire video needs to be fire
action-packed tons of info tons of
knowledge you do that you got your 75%
at one minute you're 50% by the end of
the the video your videos will start to
crush and get all the subscribers you
want and that's just leveraging human
nature right like humans are curious
people need to hear the end of a story
that's why you show the climax all the
way up until the peak right and then you
cut and then people want to see it so
they watched the whole video it's almost
like gaming the YouTube algorithm and
your favor just by taking advantage of
human nature people are curious by
nature they want to learn you know the
end of the story that is number two guys
so Evan hit us with and number three
what do people need to know to build up
to 10,000 subs fast focus on suggested
videos people think YouTube is a search
game and you see all these ads coming
out and news reports saying that YouTube
is a second most popular search engine
in the world and it is but the game is
suggested think about
your YouTube experience you might go at
the beginning by searching one thing and
you find a video right but then you go 5
6 7 10 videos deep also suggested so
those are the related videos so on your
phone it shows up right in the minute
then on the desktop but I'll show up
down the side that's where you want to
rank that's the game when you start
ranking there your videos will explode
we're looking at one of your videos
ahead 65% views coming from suggested
that videos going to pop if all of your
videos had 65% coming from suggested
views your your channel will explode so
that's the game to play now how do you
how do you get there couple tactics one
think about how you end your videos the
end cards so YouTube gives you an
ability to call out a specific video at
the end of your video so instead of just
saying hey thank you guys so much for
watching bottom block kick the bells
subscribe don't do any of that stuff
that's all garbage start with thinking
about this video is about YouTube so
what's the next video that people should
watch after this they should probably
watch my video on how to make a hundred

your end card then is going to be what

an option put on your end card YouTube's
recommended for the experience and it's
going to pick what YouTube thinks is the
best we do for them to watch next so you
got two fire videos for them to watch
next right that's going to start
suggesting more videos that we end up
breaking down the side the other thing
that really helped was suggested is you
want consistent thumbnails design right
so I should know what your video looks
like if you if you anybody there
watching is a fan of my channel you know

like you mean I like it you may hate me
you think I'm the worst person alive
amazing but you know what my thumb that
looks like yeah that's what you need you
need someone to you want to know what I

happening is if you're if your
thumbnails all over the place people are
watching one video then your video is
actually down the side but they don't
know it's your video because it's a
total different thumbnail different
design different layout you're too far
away like every video should be here
like your thumbnail here like headshot
because you're seeing it on the phone it
looks tiny and so if I know that that's
your video if I just finished watching
this and then I see five other Kevin
videos on the side and I know they're
all yours like that was fire
I like this Kevin guy I want to keep
going down I love that and then your
training YouTube that these videos are
all linked that people click this and
then they click this and in love it
where if your videos are shown up down
the side you're bleeding views because
they don't make that connection
themselves people your channel name is
showing there but nobody looks at that
right you look at the thumbnail looks
totally different
it's a different guy I'm not going to
watch it so you need to make those
connections suggested views are the game
if you're getting plus 50% of your views
from suggested your channel will start
to blow up and guys I literally built my
channel by myself from zero to you know
almost four hundred thousand subscribers
