20 YEAR OLD QUITS FULL TIME JOB FOR SOCIAL MEDIA MARKE #Best Education Page #Online EarningTING

20 YEAR OLD QUITS FULL TIME JOB FOR SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

what's up YouTube this is Ryan Hildreth
here with Herson one of the students in
the social media marketing course I just
wanted to bring him here to share his
story he just landed a client so her
Sims kind of give everyone a background
of where you're at right now I started
the social media with high Lopes but I
really didn't feel like it gave me the
core information that I needed so I
started following you and Hayden yeah
and when that happened I started seeing
that you guys are being successful you
started out around the same within a
month or two but when I started and so I
decided that once you guys put out of
course but that was the thing I was
going to be invested in because I saw
the process I saw the grind every day
the disappointment and the success at
the same time so I knew that it wasn't a
millionaire preaching down to me about
what was going on and nothing against
them it's just that it wasn't as
personal as seeing two different faces
back-to-back
you know after month of interaction with
your channels and then that's when I
knew that if you guys could do it I
could definitely do it and so I decided
to go all-in and start really chasing
the dream sort of say and started
prospecting and I landed a client after
a couple of disappointments and a couple
of promising leads I finally was able to
land two different clients and you know
it's been really good since man nice
nice so whoo so what niches are you in
like how much are you are they paying
you
kind of like what packages you have them
on so the niche says I started focusing
on was the customer service finish
overall which was uh that's what I
started working when I was young at 16
years old so I decided that the most I
knew about I know what good value was I
knew what customer service was so I
wanted to start with restaurants and
anything that and was sort of food
related so I went and prospect at a
coffee shop and they introduced me to
another restaurant owner and then I got
them both to work under the same
contract technically but they're both
paying me $700 a month to just literally
take pictures of their food and their
guests put up some copy and then post it
on the social media page Wow so it's you
know easy work
but at first I was burning my candle at
both ends I would get out of work at
4:00 in the morning my full-time job and
then go straight to the restaurant
because that's when their cooks showed
up because I wanted to show them the
process of you know it's not food that's
in the back it's fresh food prepared
every day for the customer yeah to let
the customer have like a sense of
behind-the-scenes type of thing to let
them feel like it's not you know people
that just they're not machines they're
real people who wake up early and stay
up late just to make sure you have a
good meal and it's brought them a good
amount of clientele without any
promotion so far like no ads but not Wow
okay so just straight posting on social
media for them taking pictures and kind
of just putting valuable content on
their Facebook Instagram right yeah um
essentially what it came down to was
focusing on what the customer wanted to
see instead of what the producer wanted
to post yeah because this two different
mindsets like what the if you were a
business you'd want to put your product
out there and make sure everybody knows
it yeah but but the customers are so
busy already looking at other products
they want to slow down and look at
something that they find funny or
relatable yeah or something that just
lighten up the mood a little bit and
that's what I started doing and then I
noticed that people paid more attention
to that than for their actual products
so you know when they were posting about
a promotion for their coffee shop I
would just post up a picture of a cup
full of coffee beans I said if you want
to wind down you know just remember that
coffee doesn't ask stupid questions
coffee understand yeah
and something like that it got a lot of
reaction you little heart emojis or
whatever but they got mad letting the
stress on the promotion but what they
don't understand is that they humanizes
their company yeah and unless they know
that when they go there they have the
same sense of humor so they can just
immediately start connecting you want to
go to the page or to the actual business
itself and it's it's not a long process
it's a couple of posts and then they're
invested but they don't want to
sacrifice the promotion of their
specials or whatever for the connection
of the client which is a more
long-term investment yeah so there's you
know a little bit of give and take
between me and the the owners but
overall they're they're still you know
fighting a little bit but I have a
really good feeling that they'll
eventually see it my way when they get
regulars that reference their social
media posts yeah definitely definitely
so do you converse with the owners like
do you ask them is this okay to post or
do they trust you 100% you just kind of
post for them
I started off assuming that they trusted
me a hundred percent which is gonna put
assumption guys make sure you never do
that oh yeah because I thought you know
what they hired somebody social media
they're hip I know what's happening yeah
well they just want to hire somebody who
does bad ideas people have been running
businesses since the 1960s so they're
stuck in the old ways and they want to
keep track of everything so now what I
do is they talk to their concierge who
connects them to the rest of the
community okay
and he approves the post and then he
sends them sends the post to them for
final approval
I always save it as a draft so everybody
could see it I have a work to post it in
a coaster that's perfect and that that's
something that most people don't know
getting into this that's actually a
frequent question that I get so you know
that was perfect hearing your point of
view yeah for me personally like the
first week I'm going to show the owner
hey this is this is what I want to post
for you like the whole week I'll show
them the whole week's worth of post you
know just kind of get a feel of how they
are because right because it's it's all
about developing relationships with the
business owner so that you can have them
for a long time but that's awesome man I
kind of give a background of where you
came from like how did you get started
in social media marketing and why didn't
you decide to go pretty much full-time
with it I mean you're working a
full-time job right now so you're
grinding like in the time that you
should be sleeping all right yeah
essentially yeah I make it as fun as
possible though yeah so I started off
really I loved loved YouTube and I saw
these people who they were
making crazy amounts of content and then
I saw that they had ads on there yeah
and I was like what I hate ads why did
they keep showing up turns out they're
getting paid for that and I started off
wanting to be a youtuber and I realized
that I just didn't have the funny for it
like I'm funny guy but I can't
choreograph funny I'm just more on the
off-the-cuff yeah um and I love
attention when I can dictate what their
reaction is gonna be mmm and so I
realized that I like getting attention
but I don't necessarily like the eyes on
me okay and with that mindset overall
like I you know I wanted to make sure
everybody got their fair share I've
always been a fair person and I wanted a
good businesses and good people to
succeed I've encouraged family members
to start their own businesses and
they've been afraid so I decided why not
just enable people who are already doing
it so they can do it just that much
better and that more people hear about
it yeah definitely yeah man that's
that's like purebred marketing it's in
your blood I think it's it's something
that you're passionate about and that's
that's something too that I think is
important make sure that you know this
type of industry is for anyone who's
listening for anyone that's watching
that may be contemplating should I get
into this or not really you know you
have to enjoy the process of building a
business of getting attention for
businesses and overall you want to help
like these business owners succeed so
that's awesome man what what kind of
advice would you give for someone new
and we'll just kind of wrap it up with
this like for someone who's maybe on the
edge doesn't know if they should get
into this or doesn't know if they should
spend the money on the course or on
training or whatever so a couple of
things one for the four let's start from
the first the the first step to the last
or through the process yeah so number
one if you're not sure about it and
you're still on the edge of whether to
do it or not to do it don't because if
you're not sure about this you're not
going to be sure about this
and step or the third step and you're
just going to be stuck at the beginning
and that's why I was at the beginning so
that's why I'm saying that
mm-hmm if you're already about the
course and you just feel like nobody's
going to pay attention to you if you
don't do anything they're not so you
have to start doing something whatever
it is start writing memos for yourself
like I bought of like a white board
white a race board so I can write my
goals for every day start doing
something related to your business or
you're not going to pick up steam you
have little successes again and again
just waking up in the morning an hour
earlier is a big success for me yeah
especially when I'm really tired
so um and after that is don't get
invested in the results get invested in
the process you have to either you
either you enjoy walking up to a
restaurant and telling them that you
want to make them money and bring value
to them and their customer or you don't
you're too scared
I started off too scared and eventually
I realized scared people don't make
money right people become famous great
people get rich and or you know they
just make it people who take risk make
it every single time is why we you know
value the military is why we value
entertainment industry because they all
took a risk and they got famous off of
it or they made a living off of it yeah
so essentially that's what we're doing
everything is taking a risk yeah and not
investing ourselves on whether or not
they say yes it's investing ourselves in
what we're doing our side their side is
their side and we can only control what
we think and what we feel and how we
react to what they say so they say yes
to us who cares about that now you got
another thing to focus on you got to
give them results yep and after that it
just becomes repetitive and once you see
they use deliver results back to back
the back you just realized you know I'm
not a world-leading expert at it but I'm
good enough to give people good results
and that's what matters you keep growing
you keep learning how to give them
better and you know ever-growing results
and then after that you just eventually
it becomes autopilot in your head you
just deliver good things and give good
value
which is my main focuses every time I
ask they ask me why I do it I just say I
want to give everybody good value yeah
everybody deserves to be treated well if
they treat you well
so you know I want to treat you well and
maybe on the off chance you feel nice
you give me something along the way like
I'm doing it out of just uh gratitude
just to be alive and to be able to do
this I want to show that gratitude and
put it on them before they even have a
chance to ask me for something just
start giving definitely definitely wow
man that's yeah that that's such a like
when you think of giving and when you
think of the other person first I think
that definitely helps you in your
business and obviously it's helped you
what would you say are your future
projections goals for your agency are
going to take this full-time or like is
this something that you plan on doing
for years to come or what do you think
so
I actually while I was at work I send in
my resignation for work because I
decided to take this on full-time yeah
Wow ah right at the moment I'm still not
earning the same amount I was when out
at this full time I got a job I had
right now
but I realized that if I take away all
my safety blanket after making some
smart moves beforehand like saving money
if I take away safety blanket it gives
me no option but to succeed or fail jobs
are always going to be there I might as
well take the risk now that I'm young
but I don't owe anybody anything and
just go for it so I'm going to go
full-time with it and just put my name
up there I'm networking I'm meeting up
with different businesses I realized
that there are other social media
companies here who've been here for 10
plus years so I know what my competition
is but I'm getting the lay of the land
around me and making sure that the
people who I talk to matter and that
they know that I matter too
yeah so that they can give me
opportunities after I give them
something without asking anything back
awesome well that's great here tonight
I'm glad that you took that leap of
faith and you know you're on your way to
building your agency I mean you already
got your first two clients you've had
some success with it and you're just
going to continue to keep pushing it so
that
awesome I appreciate you coming on the
channel and sharing your story with
everyone and yeah it's good having you
Harrison well thank you man I really
appreciate it and keep on doing what
you're doing but I think it's great the
the Facebook group the channel on the
course I think that it's empowering a
lot of people because you know
everybody's convinced that college and
formal education is the best way I
personally believe is a scam I think
that self education is the best
education yeah and learning by doing is
better than just being preached at all
day it was not running a business you
know yeah so I think that um the the
group of people that you've established
and that you brought together they're
helping each other out a lot I'm not
working with a lot of them and it's just
success upon success even for the people
who just started just starting out it's
a good thing for them because most
people don't and I think like I want to
say thank you to you for enabling those
people to start and to have faith in
what you're doing to the point that they
can do it - yeah definitely definitely
man definitely I appreciate you being on
here and in sharing that you know and
I'm glad that you know this this whole
Facebook group and the course and
they're it's bringing people together
and really inspiring them to take away
that safety blanket and just really go
for their passions their dreams taking
that risk so yeah it was great having
you here I'm going to go ahead and link
your Facebook page down below so you
know people could go message you and
kind of ask you any questions they have
so I'm gonna shirt my freaky all right
cool
awesome man thank you for being on here
sure
