How To DELIVER RESULTS USING INSTAGRAM For Social Media Marketing Clients



what's up YouTube this is Ryan Hildreth
and today I'm going to show you how to
deliver results with Instagram for your
social media marketing clients I'm going
to show you on my computer right now how
to switch from our connect your
Instagram business page to your facebook
business page so that you can have those
analytics and show that data show that
growth to your social media marketing
clients so let's jump over to my
computer right now alright so we're here
on my Instagram profile on my phone I
just shared it through quick time on my
Mac so if you're wondering how to do
that
quick time is the easiest way to share
your mobile screen on your Mac computer
so we're here on my Instagram I just
want to show you why it's so important
to have a business page or at least
practice having one because for your
social media marketing clients you're
definitely going to want to set up a
Instagram business page for them and
link it to their Facebook business page
because you're able to get analytics and
I want to show you how to do that so
once you create their Facebook business
page you're going to now go back to your
Instagram and I want you to click on
this top corner this little go back and
in the top right hand corner that little
circle a little toggle at the top right
hand corner click on that and now scroll
down a bit and you see where it says
switch back to personal account it's
going to say switch to a business
account okay and you're going to just
click on switch to a business account
and then it's going to take you it's
going to say which business account do
you want to link to you're just going to
link it to your Facebook page you're
just going to log in with your Facebook
and click on the page that you want to
link it to and why it's so important is
because of these analytics
so what can you see with analytics and I
want you to now do you see that that
little bar chart next to the circle on
the top right-hand corner you're going
to click on that okay I'm going to click
on that and Instagram is going to give
you insights okay this is very important
I want you to go ahead and do this today
with your own either agency profile or
your personal profile I want you to just
do it make it a business page in
practice so right here at the top you
can see a number of impressions for the
week I had twenty two twenty two
thousand two hundred ninety one
impressions and what that means is
people who view my profile non-unique so
if I like if you were to view my profile
twice it would count as two impressions
okay
so you can you can track growth for your
client through number of impressions
obviously you can see I'm up 2418
impressions from last week you go over
and you you can see how many people you
reached for the week right actually for
this one I noticed that this number
changes daily so it might be four per
day I'm not sure though is that say up
31 from last week so we see some growth
2800 3 people reached from my profile
this is how many profile views I've had
right I'm pretty sure this is daily
because this number changes every day
that I look at it so 1,211 profile views
which is down from last week so we're
going to figure out for either our
social media marketing client or for our
own business page why that is why do we
have less profile views are we not
reaching out to enough people right is
are we not running enough ads on our
Instagram right so this is all analytics
that you can track for your business
that you're managing
and you can improve on these numbers by
implementing certain tactics like if the
business let's just say it's a
restaurant they're not getting enough
Instagram profile views you're not
reaching out to enough people you're not
following enough people you're not
messaging enough people for them and
you're not running enough Instagram ads
so those are things you can improve on
each week you want to see these numbers
going up website clicks this is the most
important because so we are using
Instagram as a tool to drive traffic
right obviously if you go back to the
profile you can see that I'm driving
traffic to my youtube channel okay and
I'm able to see how many people went to
my youtube channel for the week on the
analytics and it's very important
because then you could tell your social
media marketing client hey my Instagram
efforts me managing your Instagram has
done this I've gotten you 42 website
clicks and this is a daily this is daily
for sure because I know sometimes like
laughs yesterday this number with it 97
so you can tell them hey I got 42 people
to click on your website today from
Instagram just from posting valuable
content running a few Instagram ads and
reaching out to people you could show
them growth because all you're trying to
drive more traffic so that they can get
more sales so I think website clicks is
probably the most important as long as
this number is growing each week text
you know you can include your text and
email you know depending on what
business you're managing and if they're
okay with that as you can see I have
just text and email people can click on
that let's go to now let's look at posts
okay we're going to go to see more and
you can see the number of impressions
okay you can also change it
to reach engagement likes comments saved
right we're just going to go to
impressions because that's how many
people have that's how many times
someone has looked at your post
and I'm going to go to six months okay
and I just want to see like what are my
top posts right and what I get from this
data is I figure out what do my viewers
enjoy right what do my social media
marketing clients viewers enjoy if I'm
managing a restaurant I want to see what
people enjoy seeing at that restaurant
what what posts do they enjoy obviously
you can see that people like cars
picture cars picture with my fiancee and
this is all data right this is all data
picture of the Skydeck
right so that is kind of why I keep a
certain theme on my profile because
people enjoy these types of pictures
right you want to and that's how you
track what type of valuable content
posts you can also see stories right how
many people view this your current
Instagram story I don't know if you're
going to be doing that for your client
but it's up to you that they could have
someone there if you're doing a
restaurant they can have a server or a
host post Instagram stories for them and
you can see how many people view it
right this one had when I got my Shelby
gt350
827 people viewed that post right so or
view that story and you can change you
know you can change it to reach exits
replies right there's tons of different
types of data that you can pull from
these analytics also followers right
what time are these are my specific
followers what time in the day they're
most active and I can
eeee throughout the week right I could
see throughout the week where they're at
what what age range for me is 18 to 24
75 percent men 25 percent women where
their top locations Los Angeles New York
Houston San Jose in London which is very
cool very cool and I could see you know
what hours of the days they're most
active right and I could also click on
days and see that Wednesday is actually
the most active day but you know you can
check each day each day different
Mondays people between 9 a.m. and 12
p.m. are most active right
Tuesday's people are most active I would
say around 6 p.m. Wednesdays around the
same time 7 p.m. so I just kind of go
through here and I see what kind of data
I can pull who are my followers who are
my social media marketing clients
followers are they men are they women
what age range who am I going to target
so this can help you also with your your
Facebook advertising and your Instagram
advertising to get to know who is
following you and what they are most
likely going to want to see so and it's
pretty nice too because the last thing
you can run a ad straight from your
phone straight onto Instagram you just
go to create new promotion and we'll
just kind of walk you through this real
quick I've never actually ran one
through my phone I always do it in the
Facebook Ads manager but hey if you're
on vacation or you're on the go
this is the quickest way of doing it for
your client you know let's just say I
was running an ad to this picture
whatever it may be selling cars right I
would go to next and this is all from
the Instagram app so it's it's great and
most people aren't utilizing this so I
want people to visit my website action
button I will
include shop now you can you know it in
clear you can put that in there
audience create your own definitely and
that's where you can get specific
obviously with the interest you can't
get as specific as a Facebook in the
Facebook ad manager but if you're just
wanting to run a quick ad you can you
know target people in certain locations
their interests and their age right and
this would be just a quick way of
running a quick ad for whoever it may be
maybe is maybe one of your clients is a
social-media influencer and they're not
utilizing advertisement and you could
get them on a you know a little package
and just do a little these ads for them
real easy I recommend doing it in the
Facebook ad manager because you can get
very very specific but like I said this
is just a quick way of doing it and I

is log in to your Instagram well first
go on your Facebook make a business page
if you already have your social media
marketing agency business page I want
you to go under your Instagram and link
it to your Facebook page so that you can
see these analytics and I want you to do
that
right now this is an act called action
just because I feel this is very
important especially when managing
social media for businesses you have to
know how to use Instagram and this is
one of the analytic tools that I use to
find out who is the audience and you
know what type of growth are we seeing
