what's up guys big mark care welcome
back to my channel in this video I'm
gonna give you a behind-the-scenes look
at the big mark studios and you know I
have a lot of people asked me hey mark
what kind of camera do you use and what
type of microphones are you using for
your videos and what type of webcam are
you using and the lighting and
everything so I'm gonna give you guys
all the details right on this video I'm
also growing out a little scruff let me
know what you ladies think okay anyway
alright so let's go ahead and get on
with the video okay so I'm walking into
my studio and then over here I have my
desk this is kind of like totally
looking in the other direction than what
monitor right here and then this Apple
monitor is actually hooked up to my
macbook pro which is right here this is
a little backup hard drive that I can
take with me when I'm on the go and then
I have some speakers and I use these
they really give me good sound when I'm
editing my videos and then right down
here this is a little audio interface by
Universal Audio I can hook up my
speakers and everything to my computer
looking over here I have a secondary
desk this is just where I set things
normally this was actually another
workstation but now it's just a desk
that I put stuff on I have another
tripod over here I'll be talking a
little bit more about that in just a
moment and then I have a little mano
kind of like a mini mono tripod here
that I use got my cash flow hat yeah and
then over here a lot of you guys have
seen this behind on the videos this is
just a little bookshelf here wife's got
some of her Christmas ornaments that she
just put in here so that's cool I got
some family photos and then I have some
books that I've read and just some
decorations too you know just to have a
nice background behind the behind the
videos that I make now normally I'm
lighting the whiteboard so you know I'll
be back here like this with you know
light the light will be hitting my face
so I'm go ahead and show you that so
here's one of the lights that I use now
this is what they call a softbox it's by
foam attack
it's a very kind of like affordable
softbox kit I also have another one of
these soft boxes and basically what's
inside of it are fluorescent lights and
then so that shines down on my face when
I'm sitting in this chair this is a
Herman Miller chair and so I also have
this webcam but I wanted to talk to you
guys about I'm gonna I'm gonna be
showing you a little bit more details
about that it's a very high end wet
webcam this is an audio-technica
microphone and I'll be showing you a
little bit more about that and what I do
is is I just move it so when I sit down
I pull the chair up I move this
microphone right in front of me and then
there you go it's like hey what's up big
mark here that's how I start my videos
here's another tripod that I use and
this right here and I don't have me turn
this light around so what you're looking
at right here are just some notes like
if I'm doing a video in front of the
whiteboard
I might just print out some pointers
here just as I'm going along the video
just so I can stay on track with what
I'm talking about and then the bigger
camera goes right on top of here that's
pretty much the studio it's it's very
basic there's really not a whole lot
about it again this is just like a
regular three bedroom house that I have
everything in I'm gonna switch over to
my phone and I'm going to show you what
kind of camera that I'm using to record
this video as well as some other
different tools like the microphone and
that sort of thing so I'll be right back
all right so I'll just go ahead and
start off with my webcam this is a
Logitech Brio
okay before this I was using a Logitech
c920 I think that's what it is
so if you have the Logitech c920 or c910
I think they have and you're not happy
with the quality then I would definitely
recommend checking out this Bri oh it's
gonna be a little bit more expensive but
it's a 4k webcam and the resolution on
it is just unbelievable if you like the
way
if you like the way most of my videos
look on my youtube channel most of them
are using this webcam okay it just has a
very high dynamic range and has really
nice color it also does HDR as well so
yep so this is my webcam you can pretty
much attach it to just about anything it
has a very flexible mount on it and it
just hooks up via USB on the back
my main DSLR the one I use for for
videoing my my whiteboard videos where
I'm showing I'm standing up and I'm
showing I'm drawing on the whiteboard
and everything like that or the camera
that I used for the intro to this video
when I was showing you around the studio
this is what I was using so this is a
Canon a TD alright and I didn't really
know this but if you guys have heard of
Casey nice debt he's actually a daily
vlog or a pretty popular on YouTube I
think he just crushed over 10 million
subscribers I just found out that he
actually uses the same camera so and the
great thing about this is that you it
has a little flip out LCD screen so if
I'm holding the camera this way towards
me I can see a little video of me here
so I know that I have the so I know that
I have the the video you know position
properly so I'm centered in the middle
of the screen okay so that's what's
really nice about that I could just pull
it out it also has a microphone input
and what you can use for that is a
secondary microphone which the one I'm
using here is the rode videomic pro and
so this rode videomic pro attaches right
on top of this Canon DSLR and I can
tighten it down right here by this
little swivel thing and then what I can
do is just take the cable here and plug
it right into the camera
just like that if I'm holding the DSLR
up it's very difficult to hold it up
like this so what you can do is you can
get this little
thing here and I'll leave links to all
of these different items down below in
the description of this video and so I
just tie that on to the camera just like
that and then I can just turn that
around and then now I have a grip I'm
able to hold it so it's not gonna slip
out on my hand you see that so this is
really cool I can just hold it up I can
move around I can walk around or I can
turn it around like this and then turn
the LCD screen around and watch what I'm
doing this way so this is a great
vlogging camera it's not too heavy
unlike some of the higher-end Canon
cameras so this is the again it's the
Canon 80 D so this one is an
audio-technica microphone and this is
the at2020
and it just hooks up directly to your
computer via USB just plug it in right
there and then I think this is separate
but this is just a some people call it a
popper stopper a wind filter and
basically what it does it you know if
I'm talking close into the microphone I
don't want my I don't want the air to go
into the diaphragm of the microphone so
there you go guys that's a little bit of
a behind the scenes at the big mark
