today I have bad news for you passive
income on YouTube is a myth hi guys my
money is also worship tips on how to
succeed online and recently I noticed a
trend among the channels in my niche
among the youtubers that shoot videos on
how to make money online on affiliate
marketing on dropshipping or Amazon FBA
on or any kind of business opportunities
on entrepreneurship and the trend is
that they promote passive income with
YouTube running an affiliate marketing
business with YouTube as if it was
passive income and in this video I want
to tell you review let's say what it
looks like to run a YouTube channel and
then you will be able to decide yourself
whether or not it's passive income to
shoot one video it takes me from half an
hour to two hours it depends on how long
is the video some of my tutorials that
are 20 to 30 minutes long takes me to
shoot for about one hour and a half up
to two hours depending on the topic
depending on how flowy how fluent it was
going when I was shooting those videos
what you see in the end on the channel
it's not the raw video it's not like I
press the start button and like I showed
the video and then I pressed stop button
and just upload it right away
in between that start button and the
stop button there can happen a lot of
things so let's say on average it takes
me from half an hour to two hours to
shoot one video depending on the length
of video and depending on the topic of
the video then you have to edit that
video and editing takes from about 30
minutes all the way up to probably 3
hours if your raw video was 2 hours long
so if we take the biggest number how
much time it takes for me to create a
video let's say the longest it will be 2
hours of shooting video and 3 hours to
edit the video in total it takes about 5
hours to create one final video that
it's ready to be uploaded to the YouTube
channel then upload
it's not just drag-and-drop yes it is
drag and drop to your YouTube channel to
upload the video but there's way more to
uploading the video to your YouTube
channel in addition to drag and drop the
video itself you have to create a
thumbnail you have to think of a title
you have to write a description you have
to put the tags of your video you have
to add video to the playlist and all
these can take another hour of your time
so in total from the moment of shooting
the video to uploading the video to your
YouTube channel it may take up to six
hours but I'm not even mentioning about
research about keyword research about
topic research about preparation of some
materials like Bureau shooting for
example or preparing some articles some
text or images for the video it all
depends on the topic on your channel and
the way how you're shooting the video so
preparation for shooting the video
sometimes may take few more hours and
then in total you would need one full
day to shoot just one single video of
course these times are the maximum ones
for my channel but it varies from
channel to channel from video to video
and I want to remind you that we're
talking right now about just one single
video so if you're uploading just one
video per week then be ready to spend at
least three hours on average the minimum
time to shoot edit and upload the video
to your channel if you want to upload
more than one video per week and let's
say five videos per week then you will
have to spend this much time five days
per week does it still seem to you as
passive income and I'm not even matching
them at the very beginning for the first
few months you will not be making any
money at all there will be no passive no
active no any income from your YouTube
channel towards whoever for the first
few months now guys a question for you
