I'm actually trying to keep my voice
down a little bit it's night time
we got people sleeping around here so
just going to chill out I'm not my
normally loud and crazy self like I
normally am during the day but I want to
show you guys what happens I mean what
is YouTube say what happens to your
channel what do you see what has changed
if there's any changes so I'm gonna show
you everything right on this video and
as a bonus for you I'm gonna show you
that I just got approved into the
YouTube Partner Program so I'm starting
to monetize my youtube channel so how
how long does it take so you can start
monetizing your YouTube channel I'm
gonna give you all those details right
on this video so let's go ahead and jump
in here so alright so 10,000 subscribers
I woke up I think it was like a few days
ago and I found this push this push
notification on my iPhone it says from
YouTube studio 10,000 subs throw
yourself a party and celebrate because
you just crossed 10,000 subscribers
alright that was totally cool now I was
kind of expecting that because when I
had 1000 subscribers you know they also
sent me a push notification so that was
kind of cool and then I was just gonna
wait I was waiting for that that email
from from YouTube about what happens
like what's it gonna look like they're
gonna send me this congratulations email
and what's the animation gonna look like
well I'm gonna show you that right now
okay so here it is
boom big mark Congrats on 10,000
subscribers yeah this little cool
animation here and it says big mark whoa
you have 10,000 fans just think about
that 10,000 people love your videos and
support what you're all about now share
the news and celebrate this awesome
moment together that's cool
you're our hero the YouTube team okay
you know it was really interesting
because I heard different things about
you know when you cross over 10,000
subscribers like you're going to get
some like like some special privileges
and stuff like that but guys I didn't
really get that I don't there's no other
emails that I'm receiving from from
YouTube or from the creatives at YouTube
this is pretty much it so what you see
right here is what I got a few share
buttons and that's it so the this is
what happens and there's really not a
whole lot let's go over to the next one
here
I just got approved for monetization on
my youtube channel so let me go ahead
and go and dive into a little bit and
talk about that now I think when my
channel was about a it's grown very fast
you would be very surprised you know the
time it takes you to go from zero
subscribers to 1,000 subscribers is much
different than going from 1000
subscribers to 10,000 subscribers okay
because once you start to build that
momentum things just snowball they
really start to take off okay like
faster than you expected it I mean we I
had a couple days where I was actually I
meant more than that where I was getting
about a thousand subscribers a day okay
it started I started getting like you
know eighty subscribers a day 200
subscribers and then 500 subscribers and
a boom it just took off right I had a
couple videos that went viral
it can happen guys okay so let me just
go into this monetization thing so you
guys are going to need 4,000 watch hours
okay now looking over here it's
YouTube's gonna show you only watch
minutes as far as I can see if there's
hours on here I can't find it I don't
know where it is maybe it's somewhere I
don't know but I just did the math
before I applied for the partnership
program
so basically 4,000 watch hours is going
to come out to be somewhere around
240,000 minutes so I made sure that I at
least had over 240,000 minutes and then
I at least had a thousand subscribers
and I think at the time when I applied I
had over 1,000 so I think I was more
closer to 2,000 subscribers because
things were just going so fast for me
and so I applied and then YouTube said
that it's going to take about one month
for them to you know to verify
everything to approve me I guess I guess
it's a manual view or something like
that where they actually have someone go
and check your channel and everybody's
in a panic they're wondering oh my gosh
am I gonna get approved and so you know
the if you guys I mean if you just have
a normal regular YouTube channel you're
not out there bashing and putting like
you know illegal stuff and videos and
copyrighted material and music and all
this stuff on your YouTube channel then
you guys should be pretty good to go
okay I wasn't that worried about it I
had a good feeling there's some other
guys in my in my niche or my market that
have been approved so if you're in a
certain niche or whatever just look I
wouldn't see what your competitors are
doing and see if they're approved
because if they're approved then you're
gonna be just fine but if long of you
guys are not you know you know bashing a
bunch of people doing hatred on on you
know stuff you know you got abuse or
anything like that on your channel and
you guys are gonna be okay alright
you're probably gonna be accepted into
the program now so it took about I would
say I would say took about a good two
weeks but I don't know that isn't really
sound accurate
to me I would say probably about a week
and a half maybe until I got approved
today into into the program so but yeah
so that's about it and there's really
not a whole lot that happens I mean it
just says up here when you log in
congratulations your channel has been
approved from monetization okay
pretty straightforward guys let's see
what else we got here and then when you
go to the status and features for your
channel settings you're gonna see that
monetization it says that you can use
ads to monetize your videos now and then
it says it's enabled also notice that
even realize it but the super chat
option is now enabled or it's not
enabled but I'm eligible for that so I
might go ahead and enable that as well I
guess it's a way you guys can get like
tips and things people can send you cash
during live videos and stuff like that
so that's kind of cool but yeah my
accounts are really good standing I've
done some crazy stuff on my channel
promoter a lot a lot of different things
but everything looks really good
another thing that you guys are going to
see is on your phone when you go to your
YouTube studio app you are going to see
that next to your videos and I hope you
guys can see this but next to the videos
now you're gonna see a little dollar
symbol a little circle little green
dollar symbol they're all or actually
I'll probably just to go to my youtube
channel over here and then just go to
the video manager and that'll probably
display it for you guys
so
yeah so there you go so I've got a
little little dollar circle that it says
that it's being monetized and that's it
I mean now those are really the only
things that I have seen and now now
after if you guys as soon as you get
monetized the cash flow you're not gonna
have the stats right away but I want to
let you know I'm not sure if I did I say
this already that YouTube's gonna want
you to check your stats on YouTube if I
come down here and check or select
revenue which is the area where you guys
are going to see your you know what
you're earning per day and all that
stuff I just got approved so I don't
really have enough data for YouTube to
give me you know any type of feedback on
you know what I'm earning in terms of ad
revenue at the moment but I will create
another video in the future if you guys
want to see that subscribe I will create
another video so you can see what I'm
earning on my channel I like to be very
transparent show you guys everything I
have people from all different walks of
life watching my videos you know people
come to my channel for different things
I have people that you know I have fans
from other YouTube channels they're
doing what I'm doing and then I have a
lot of people that are looking to do
affiliate marketing and then there's a
lot of people that just want to you know
make a few bucks online all kinds of
different people so and so I'm just
saying this because once in a while I
will create a kind of like
behind-the-scenes video like this if you
