hi it's Tony here again and I'm going to

show you how to edit a post war page

within WordPress and also take another

quick look at those icons at the top of

the editing screen so I'm just going to

add a new post in a new tab and we'll go

from there

when it loads as I said in the post is

quite familiar to the screens if you're

using Word documents or WordPad or

anything like that

enter a title and then I'm gonna add

some nice it's some text I have notepad

here just here so I'm gonna copy all

that and paste it in all right so now if

we have a preview of what we have thus

far

there were title and some text was quite

blocky and not very easy to read but

we'll worry about that in a minute

let's have a look at those icons first

okay first thing is I'm gonna go to this

one it looks like well it's just it says

top and toolbar always probably look

like a TV but it doesn't at all does it

so top of that and a few I can't

disappear so if you arrive at this page

and you haven't got as many icons as

I've got these ones at the end you I

have visa added because of extra plugins

but regardless if you toggle that you'll

see extras at the bottom here so let's

have a quick look what those are okay

I've media add in any type of media you

time that's how easy to add media

and if we would add a picture all you

would do is click we want the pitch

insert link from here if you want to

pages that it thinks I may be talking

about so up and click that and then

click apply and it'll be linked you

to something outside of your website so

now apply the link to get it to open in

a new window what I would do is edit the

link and the settings click open link in

new tab update

now when we preview this if we were to

click our link it opens up in a new

window which is what we want cuz don't

want to be losing people from our

website if we don't want to that's links

straight down to these strikethrough if

there so what we do do is paste our

information as plain text and then

format it if that's odd always advise

you to paste it in from a notepad or as

plain text and then formatting okay

clear formatting this is cool if when

you're adding things via massive

techsoup's anywhere clear the formatting

special characters things like copyright

or trademark if I press this here you'll

see a whole load of everyone's or

special characters of a saint which you

could add into your content losing my

terminology okay this here
