things I've been doing to the site as
well as the latest earnings and the
traffic figures so let's go

uploaded but summers out the way now so
I'm back in the office back recording
and you can expect a whole load more

and a few weeks all around Amazon
affiliate marketing as well as WordPress
and you know the usual kind of stuff so

video so anyway in this video I want to
give you an update on my Amazon
affiliate website best roof box.com if
you've not been following what I've been
doing with the site including how I made

where I build the site as well as all of
the work and marketing and revenue it
yeah everything to do with the site so
you do go check it out now before I get
into the earnings in traffic let me just
quickly share with you what I've been
doing with the site I've basically just
been adding some more content I've taken
on board a couple of editors to help me
with this so they've been publishing the
content for me I get it from my writers
and by the way if you need some content
I've got my very own team of writers you
can tap into I'll put a link up now for
details on that but yeah I get my
articles from my writers I've passed
them to the editors and they publish
them and to be fair they do a better job
than I do there's an example of one of
the Articles that recently went up and
then looking really nice now they've got
the quick bind box which was a
recommendation from Doc Cullington
so you can easily get across to Amazon
and find the products they've got videos
they've got images all the text is
nicely formatted and yeah the articles
are looking really good and because I've
got the editors now I'll be able to get
them up a lot more quickly so that
should really help in terms of traffic
and exposure and of course sales so
let's jump into the figures and take a
look let's start with traffic and have a
look at Google Analytics and if we take
a look at August we can see that
compared to the previous month of July
traffic is up around 10% slightly under
10% which is
quite a bit down on the previous month's
where we were growing it quite an
incredible rate now I'm not too worried
about this there's probably a few
reasons why this has happened first is I
haven't been publishing as much content
as I should only the last week or so has
that kind of been wrapped up as as head
down to the editors and also August is a
funny kind of month I think you know the
schools around people on holiday and all
that kind of stuff so that could have
had an effect so yeah I'm not too
worried at the end of a it is still
growing a little bit it's just not
growing as fast as it was but let's see
what September doesn't hopefully we'll
get some nice big increases for the
month of September right let's get into
the earnings and the earnings have been
a bit of an emotional roller coaster
which is probably gonna be the title of
this video because I don't know if you
remember and my last update which was
for July I was quite excited because I'd
sold quite a few roof boxes including
the mayor through leave ox remember
exactly what it's called but it was like
750 dollars worth of sales it netted me
a lovely big fat Commission or around 40
odd dollars something like that and it
was all very exciting however one
morning in August I logged into my
Amazon affiliate account to check the
figures and I was greeted with a
negative Commission number which is
never a good thing
and basically that happens when someone
returns a product so I dug into it and
yes someone had returned the big old box
and I wasn't had been deducted the
Commission for me so that was a little
bit heartbreaking but then a few days
later I signed in again and woohoo
someone had ordered another big box in
fact a even bigger box apart that was
worth $800 so that was a nice fat
Commission there of around $45 summer
that's so always looking good again and
you know I was feeling hopeful and yay
we're back on track but then I logged in
just a couple of days ago and yeah you
guessed it so
returned that box as well so I was back
on negative Commission again so it's
been up and down up and down and I'm now
waiting for someone to order the big box
again it hasn't happened just yet but
you know I think the message regarding
this is don't let these things not queue
it's very easy to get respondent and
feel really negative and maybe like give
up on your site when this kind of thing
happens because things like this do
happen you know whether it be Amazon
stuff being returned and you're getting
negative Commission or you know your
search engine rankings take a dip or
your traffic goes down that happens and
it's all part of setting up a site it
does go up and down it's never gonna be
a straight up kind of trajectory on the
graph in terms of earnings in traffic is
going to be up and down and you just
gotta keep going get through the downs
and you'll get to the ups and I'm sure
those ups are gonna be even higher than
they were before once we get to them and
you know if I look at the Amazon figures
for last few days I can see that traffic
is still good to Amazon we've had a few
orders yesterday on some products I
don't think there's any boxes in there
but hey it's still some orders so yeah
I'm still feeling really positive about
the site and I'm gonna continue
ploughing on with the content getting
that added and well I'll give you an
update of course when I get some more
sales and we started getting back on
track in terms of the earnings just to
finish up on the earnings there are a
couple of other positive bits of news
first being that Amazon actually sent me
my first Commission payout from this
site I've got the money in my bank
account it was over a hundred pounds it
was about 110 pounds some of that which
in dollars must be like hundred and
forty dollars I guess so that's great
and then you know it proves that Amazon
do pay you and that was a payment from
amazon.com from America to me in the UK
via bank transfer it worked fine I got
the money it's all good so there's some
positive news one last bit of positivity
regarding the earnings I checked the
Adsense account for August and that's
grown slightly it's up to eleven dollars
around eleven dollars anyways and you
know promising it's going in the right
direction
I am going to be investigating and of
course sharing with you how I can
increase that
look at other ways I can monetize the
site other than Amazon and Adsense to
try and get those earnings up because
traffic is growing nicely will be a
little bit slower than it was so
capitalizing on that it's definitely
something that I want to look into so
that brings us the end of this video
just a little update on how the site's
going as I said earlier I've got loads
more videos planned and in production so
do keep an eye out for them and make
