do some questions or talk about food
marketing we will talk about the changes
to the Amazon API and then if you saw my
video yesterday me yesterday did you see

changes so I don't know did you get an
email do you have the week from Amazon
saying that basically if you don't
generate some sales via the API then
you'll lose access to the API that's
basically it in a nutshell so so you
know that's a bit of an issue really I
mean it's fine if you're generating
sales by word zone which I know a lot of
y'all I know I am majority of my sales
come via zone so that's fine for me but
if you're not then then it is a bit of
an issue mm-hmm now in the video I
showed you that you can actually see the
different types of links that you're
sending traffic from within your Amazon
Associates dashboard now you scroll down
and look on the link type performance
box and it will tell you whether you're
generating traffic and indeed sales via
the Amazon API so Amazon API links and
generally ones where the product is
added to the cart automatically when
they hit Amazon mm-hmm so anything to do
was own with the checkout enabled is
fine you turn the checkout off and
you're linking straight through to
products then that is not fine that is a
text link what I say not fine I mean
it's fine it's you couldn't generate you
a sale if someone clicks for and buys
but it doesn't count towards your API
sales in my video again I know I said
that there's an option which I was
actually aware of within who's owned
that if you switch that to no I think
it's called the show Amazon URL rather
than buying us some weirdly worded
setting anyway it's in the video said it
to Noah then it'll change those links so
that you do add the product cart and
then they do appear to count as a P Alex
now I spoke to a ea team about this when
a bit of back and forth as usual and
they didn't simply think it was such a
big deal but interesting what they come
back with I mean they're obviously well
aware of it
I guess they assume most people are just
using the cart the WooCommerce cart
things so it's not an issue
but anyway if you didn't get the email
then I'm wondering if it's a you an EU
European thing and you guys in the US
had the email because any people I heard
from were people in the EU including
myself the Fermin also just want to make
sure does the API warning relate to
countries specific API calls make a few
UK sales but one every three months u.s.
good point I guess it is country
specific thus as I've just said I don't
know if this actually affects the US is
the cart better what are your thoughts
the jury is still out on that one

turn the cart off may be better because
it will get people over to Amazon
quicker cookie them quicker so therefore
you got a better chance of getting
