right alright alright alright now we're
back I'm Doug Huntington and you know
there's tough technical difficulties
sometimes and all right sweet awesome so
success stories that's what I'm talking
about today and I see some people from
the chatter actually people that were
success stories I think I saw Wesley in
there we got Josh oh there's other folks
in there sorry about the tech
going to be a quick one basically I want
to point out some of the success stories
in the reality on YouTube is like I'm
publishing a lot of videos and you you
basically see the recent stuff and
sometimes some things are recommended to
you but the the problem is I have so
many videos out because it's sort of a
treadmill of content production and I'm
playing along with that game there are
some really good interview some really
awesome insights in these interviews and
if you watch them you'll hear like other
approaches that people have so there's
about let's see like four of them that I
want to point out four or five of them
that I want to point out in here so Nick
is a musician he's actually like a
traveling like pro like touring musician
and I talked to him earlier this year at
the time he was making like 1500 bucks a
month or so and slowly ramped up over
time so check that one out there's a
link in the description for all of these
the second one I want to point out is
from Brett he's a college student I
think when I talked to him he was a
senior maybe
anyway young guy and he was making about
500 bucks a month in both cases actually
in all of these the keyword golden ratio
played a big role in it so next one is
Evan who is a writer he actually worked
for some big content production
companies and had a background you know
as a writer as a content producer so he
had like some of the core skills around
content he knows how to write and he
brought a lot of the content himself and
when he started using the keyword
Golding golden ratio he was able to
basically doubles profits and doubled
the traffic up to about four thousand
bucks a month next Ellen this is one of
the most popular interviews that I've
done so Ellen a former social worker got
her site Amazon affiliate niche site up
to about three thousand dollars per
month using the keyword golden ratio and
the cool part she did this within about
eight months now everyone that I just
mentioned worked really hard right
everyone put in a lot of time in some
cases they had multiple years of
experience like running websites writing
and that sort of thing so it wasn't like
they just discovered how to build a
website and then they accidentally did
you know three thousand dollars a month
no accidents a lot of times people had
tons of experience and usually you know
a year or more you know some people I
think Brett for example I think Brett
was building sites since he was like in
middle school or something like that so
he he had years under his belt alright
and I do see some people in the chat and
glad some people hopped on live I'll
answer a couple questions here I do see
some people that mentioned I should do
some updates so I'm probably gonna reach
out before too long to get some updates
from folks it's always nice to see like
you know the site's growing sometimes
sites go to decline there have been
multiple algorithm updates this year and
sometimes it just happens that you know
your site loses traffic loses revenue
and you can you know do a couple things
you can keep working on it you can move
on or you can just like you know quit
quit working on it alright josh is
saying and by the way I see thanks

I hear ya I hear you I think you know
you think you know who the sound guy is
alright Josh says you watched the guest
post video and you finally get it
great great the question is how do you
quantify a guest post candidate or find
them with the search niche versus guest
post or Plus guest post okay so I never
find a guest post that way that's like
the worst way you could find a guest
post how do i quantify I don't know what
you mean by quantify like a score of how
good the guest post would be like why
what would i quantify I guess like
rephrase that question for me
all right Tammy's on what's up we got
Kelvin and all Wayne yeah you're saying
I should do a update interview so yeah
I'm gonna look into that Kelvin is
saying when is the new course starting
so I've been a little quieter on YouTube
just in general just taking a little bit
of a break still publishing but in some
cases I'm repackaging old content to get
it out there and the new course a new
course is starting or the launch is
tomorrow actually it's tomorrow so if
you're interested in starting a site
five-figure niche site is where you
should go basically you can stay tuned
right keep watching the channel but if
you had an inch side project comm and
sign up for the email list you should
get some information if you're not
actually you what you should do is go to
five figure a niche site tomorrow and
you'll be able to enroll that's what I
meant to say all right Josh says how do
you find guest post candidates if you
don't use that search modifier okay so
here's the thing Josh so number one if
you look up like how to guest post most
sites are gonna most guides are gonna
stay look up like your niche or a
keyword plus guest post and then see if
maybe they have a right for us page
that's another thing people search for
the problem with those is those are the
same channels that everyone that's the
same search that everyone is using so
it's very crowded at this point they're
probably getting like multiple emails a
day it's been several years since people
have been
to use that so it's completely saturated
and in my opinion it's not very
effective and if you happen to get a
guest post using a modifier footprint a
search string like that it's not going
to be very high quality it might be but
in most cases it's saturated and if you
get a guest post there then anyone can
get a guest post there many people have
before you
many people will after you so those are
going to be less effective links so what
I do is search for like anything else
aside from that in fact I'd rather guest
post on a site that doesn't really have
that many guest posts those are harder
to get the links from they are probably
gonna be a little more powerful not
always but that's a good way to look at
it so you can use any search that you
want so be creative and figure out your
own so a lot of times I like to I talk
about blog commenting and then nurturing
a relationship and then asking for a
guest post so I look for sites that I
can comment on that's that's it and Josh
I have been thinking by the way I have
been thinking about the outreach course
that you know you've recommended a
couple times and it's stuff like that
right I have a lot of this stuff in my
head I have the process is written out
that I've had some of my VA s go through
but you know I just haven't pulled the
trigger if people are watching the
replay and you're sticking around are
people interested and just like a pure
sort of how reach slash link building
course where I just cover like say for
advanced topics maybe it's maybe like
three videos per topic and some
templates and stuff and then you go
execute you know that would be something
that I could teach and it'd be advanced
it would be different from my other
course okay all Wayne says you made a
lot of mistakes at first you created
five sites sold one two income school
and you're now you're in the process of
migrating a site you sold on Flippa and
to focus on one multi niche site cool

usually they're clocking in at like 20
to 40 minutes but you can watch it on I
would say one and a half X speed is a
good one and I think if you watch those
you'll hear the different approach is I
mean I talk about what I do right it's
only that that's what I know I'm aware
of some other techniques and stuff but
generally I'm just talking about what I
do and in these cases people are taking
like their their other experiences and
then they're layering some of the stuff
that I teach on top of it sometimes
maybe they're they're hardly using
anything that I'm teaching except maybe
the key word golden ratio or maybe some
of the approaches on how I hire people
stuff like that anyway take a look at
these maybe you've watched them already
but I bet you forgot a lot of the stuff
in there so it'd be cool if you go watch
