in this video I'm gonna be sending up a

affiliate marketing YouTube channel for

my affiliate marketing website best roof

box.com

I know from experience that YouTube is a

great place to get some traffic and

indeed drive traffic to a website so I

thought it's about time that I set a

channel up for my affiliate marketing

website by the way if you're not up to

speed with everything that I've been

doing on the site which is doing pretty

well now learning some good money do

check out the complete playlist which is

updated all the time in fact this video

will be in it you'll find a link to that

playlist somewhere up there in a card

you know to start at the beginning if

you've not done so already anyway back

to YouTube so I've had a few videos

created which I'll be showing you very

shortly but I'll also be showing you how

to create the channel how to set up the

channel art how to upload the videos

create thumbnails basically everything

to do with YouTube as well as embedding

those videos onto the website so let's

video is all about creating a YouTube

channel for an affiliate marketing

website so let's start by talking about

the actual videos I'm gonna be uploading

to the channel first one is a really

cool kind of introduction welcome video

so I'm probably in a place on the home

page of the website it was created by WP

eagle regular Dennis who reached out to

me and said that he was you know pretty

good at making videos would I like one

and do it a very reasonable price and I

was like yeah why not go for it and hope

this is what he created

that's the first one I'm gonna be

uploading and I've got another two

videos that were created by a company

called the Hoff you may be familiar with

them if you just want to take a look at

this that's their video creation service

I will put a link to the Hoff up in a

cardan now I'll also put a link in the

description so do go check them out the

link is an affiliate link so yeah thanks

so I went for the two video package and

it was really easy to be fair I just

pointed them in the direction of a

couple of popular articles that I've got

on the site and awesome to create a

video around it and yet within a couple

of weeks they had they sent over a

script first of all for me to sign off

and I kind of skimmed through it and it

looked okay so I signed it off

and then he had another week later the

video arrived and yeah he's an example

of what they look like if you're

traveling with a roof box carrier there

are a lot of things that you need to

know about mounting packing and

traveling with it keep watching for

essential details on all three tips for

mounting first read the instructions

different box carriers will have

different mounting requirements some

carriers will have specific torque

settings that you should look for and

understanding these settings will make

sure that you don't over torque or under

torque your rooftop carrier chances are

that your carrier will become exposed to

the elements at some point during your

travels to prevent various fittings from

corroding over time you can find a

grease to lube arts such as the mounting

bolt threads doing so will protect them

from water and corrosion and it will

also make handling them in the future

much easy tips for loading the first

thing that you want to do is determine

what the weight limit is both your

vehicle and your box carrier will have

separate weight limits pack the heaviest

things in the car first now for the

money I think they look pretty decent I

mean you could be the judge of that and

so I think it's time to get on the

get those videos uploaded do all the

other stuff the channel art the

thumbnails the optimization and of

course let's embed those videos on the

generally the process is gonna be the

same so I'm gonna click create new

channel and it wants me to enter a brand

account name so I think that we fine

subscribers oh that's a bit of a sorry

sight isn't it well hopefully even get

some really soon and by the way if you'd

somehow maybe in a video but anyway

let's start customizing this and making

it look like a proper YouTube channel so

this big button here says customize

channel let's take a look

here we are so the first thing it needs

is a kind of icon channel icon

let's click Edit

now I'm just gonna use the logo thing

I've probably got one two hand let's

have a look so that one looks like I

have to crop it

perfect let me just

I don't want the car

lovely so that's the the icon Donna

Hammond close that now I think it takes

have a minute will to to comfort us just

refresh and there we go so let's do our

channel art now so that's a nice big

image that goes across the top of your

channel click add channel art

gives us a recommended size down here no

don't have any channel out so we'd

better create some and to create some

I'm gonna use the fantastic canva so

let's switch into that here we are I'm

in canva you can sign up for free at

canva.com there is a pro version which I

do subscribe to but it's not always

necessary you get pretty much access to

everything you need in the free version

which is pretty cool so here we go look

we've got loader templates on here and I

just spotted youtube channel art so

let's fire that up

so then the left-hand side here we've

got loads of templates to help us get

started

obviously you don't have to use these

it's entirely up to you

I just want something that's kind of

neat and tidy nothing too you know too

exciting you know it's only about roof

boxes the Ender they it's got some nice

text just change this you know to be the

best roof box.com awning include a full

URL of the site hang on let me just

resize this you need to ungroup

drag that out type again faster roof box

I might come back and change that later

when I think of sine capella and how I

just need to drop in my own image I've

already uploaded a load because I've

used them quite a bit for you know

Pinterest graphics and stuff so got this

one here which is it's okay so our roof

box that's making a bit bigger

so now let's download and download it as

a PNG

there we go so we go back to youtube we

can upload it there it is looks nice

don't thing I need to adjust the crop

like a proper youtube channel so well

and proper YouTube channel needs some

videos doesn't it

so let's upload some videos are then

what we'll do is we'll create some

lovely thumbnails for those videos so

I'm going to click on upload a video got

a link here you can also do it by

clicking up here

let's do that lovely intro video first

off so

on all of the videos because that's what

we're doing it really we want to drive

traffic to the website check out I don't

idea just that allowed two key words now

there are some tools available to help

you with this in terms of finding

keywords one of them is tube buddy and

another one is vid IQ and pretty some

videos on them soon I do use them from

my other channel but I'm not gonna use

them on this channel cuz I just want to

keep it simple for now but I'll do video

in the future on how they could be

helpful

so let's press publish and we'll do a

thumbnail although that's not too bad

from now let's go in there and create a

really nice thumbnail it's quite nice

need a nice image and the roof box style

one you're quite like the sunset

sometimes you drop it onto camera it

kind of slicks it onto the background

it's not doing it right now know why and

then want to drag it out

set it to the back

a little bit

and a light

for the text then a flip it round

that's better and need to might taste a

little bit

it's ungroup' again don't need it needs

to be a little bit wider do a squiggly

line down on that

not as fun either

change that it's a little bit big drop

which case just wasted your time there

refiners also a copyright claim

oh never mind I can't monetize a channel

right now anyway so I'm not worried

about that I've read with Dennis about

his music really needs to use

royalty-free

I've just finished recording this video

I got to the end and then I thought the

thumbnail thing was a little bit weird

so I've revisited it and it turns out we

can add custom thumbnails I didn't just

waste your time what you need to do is

here I wasn't really looking properly

earlier when I was recording there's

this little verify link we just need to

verify the channel so give that a click

and take you up to page I think just

have to enter your mobile phone number

and then they send you a text message

with a number and you put that in and

then you're verified and then you can

add a custom phone although it's still

not lame I think if I switch to the

creator studio classic I can add that

thumbnail see yeah we've got the custom

thumbnail button so I can add that

glorious thumbnail that I created

earlier which is just yeah

there we go let's go back to the video I

hate this YouTube studio bTW I'm gonna

go to youtube Classic which probably

kind of make this a little bit out day

already this video but I just find it a

lot easier to navigate around no yes

yeah I'm not eligible for custom

thumbnails

doesn't quite tell me why but I think

you just need a certain number of

subscribers well I'm glad I showed you

how to make a thumbnail anyway because I

think it is useful to know so that's

going to save us some time isn't it no

it's chosen some thumbnails for me on a

great truth I really need those custom

thumbnails so we need to build up

subscribers on the channel so please

yeah as I mentioned earlier if you could

come subscribe to this channel that

would really help me out he's in a

different shirt on this one but hey it's

not the most collectible sort of

thumbnail but yeah so it won't take long

till we get those custom thumbnail so

need to do now is add them to the

website so let's do that so I'm over on

the site I'm all logged in ready to go

so the first going to do is add that

intro video just here and replace this

image let's edit with Elementor I'm just

going to show you two ways of adding the

video so you can kind of decide what's

going to work best for you so Aaron

taught does come with the video player

straight out the box the free version

includes it so let's use that to start

with I'm just going to remove this image

don't come over here grab the video

widget drop that there

and back to YouTube fire up the video

copy the URL of the video pop it in

there

and that's pretty much it got a few

options down here you can also play you

can mute it I'm not going to any of

those things right now I mean I may

change it in the future

gonna loop which you probably wanna do

if it's on also play you can have the

player controls

I think they are probably quite useful

you can have modest branding which kind

of I think removes a lot of the YouTube

links and stuff for them I think I'll

leave it like that it's just the videos

gonna leave that on current video

channel cuz only one it's just my videos

I dearly and you can have privacy mode

which does something about not storing

or YouTube won't store information about

the visitors on your website unless they

play the video I'm not too worried about

that all there is an image overlay so in

theory I could add my own little

thumbnail possibly let's see what that

looks like

these optimizing that image of is a

little bit big

so that does that what which one looks

best now

those articles so the first one is the

now for this one I'm going to use a

different widget and drop the video in

somewhere down here I guess maybe even

widget I'm gonna be using is a premium

widget it's part of the ultimate add-ons

for elemental plug-in which I have used

before for the sites it also includes

great tables which are really useful

I'll put a link to that plug-in up now

and in the description you'll also find

a link it is an affiliate link again I

do appreciate if you use any of my links

that's kind of how I pay the bills and

that enables me to create videos like

this so already got it installed

the UAE plug-in and is added this

section here and so there's loads of

great widgets that it kind of comes with

and what we want is this video on so

let's drop it at the top here wondering

whether it should be its own section

yeah we'll go with that let's find the

video

I'm gonna get the link gotta be careful

actually cuz sometimes it adds up this

kind of timer thing so that T equals ten

seconds that means it's going to start

the video ten seconds in I think we want

that so let's remove that copy the link

let's drop that in there is no I do

think we need a some sort of thumbnail

or whatever don't you think

I'm not feeling matey right now so let's

do that I let me do a quick edit and

I'll just quickly knock up a couple of

thumbnails in canva okay I've done that

let's add a custom thumbnail by taking

that little box and let's click on here

and then find them here we go so here's

my golfing one I mean I just thought

about really quickly wanted them to be

kind of bold and stand out on YouTube I

may change them it looks a little bit

bright now look at it again yeah but

yeah that's that's fine that's one the

options down here so you can change the

play image icon if you like you can

change the color I think it'd look

better white yeah like that that's nice

you got the sticky video section which I

think would make it kind of stick at the

top of the page oh yeah come on that's

nice sort of I don't want it but you

might be I think I really like is this

YouTube subscribe bye you can turn that

on

think if we just come up here this bit

our zero subscribers which I'm sure it's

gonna get really quickly

turn off the subscribe accountant right

now thinking so we've got a few more and

then you've got some options here to

adjust the color and all that kind of

stuff

last bit is this helpful information

which just gives you some more info on

that fantastic little widget so it's

really up to you which YouTube or video

widget you want to use for Elementor I

like this one mainly because of this

subscribed thing across the bottom but

the free one's pretty good too

so I'm going to quickly add the other

video to the other article and yeah then

we're pretty much done so let me do a
