welcome back to SPI TV if you didn't
watch last week's video I highly
recommend you watch that first before
I introduced this Ghana to it for you
why we're going what pencils of promise
is all about and you get an account for
our first day in Ghana today we're gonna
be going to another part of Ghana we are
stationed at HOH Ghana but then we take
a three or four hour bus ride to
oscillate to visit one of the most
amazing sights I've ever seen
so after driving literally through
jungle and tall grass and and bush we
get to this opening where there's a
clearing and there's a brand new school
that's never been stepped in before and
the entire community is there hundreds
of people celebrating music and you'll
get it you'll get a feel for kind of
just how impactful this was not only to
to us being visitors there but the
impact that we have and how many people
think this for being there and you'll
get to see the first people step in the
school and actually a ribbon a ribbon
cutting as well a very emotional time
but very very worth every single penny
we spent to make all this happen so here
we go let's go to oscillate and a couple
other schools we visited and celebrate
with the entire communities there
day two and Hannah was a long bus ride
three hours I think and honestly looking
out of the window the landscape I got to
learn how gorgeous Ghana is it's a
beautiful country
then we arrived to our destination
oscillate and saw the schools that were
being replaced yes so I mean it just
shows you how much the value of
education to be able to put these
together for the children and it's kind
of cool that pencils of promise came in
and created something much better
so the community's really take pride in
the education of their children and this
is all they had to work with but now
they're kind of upgrading and thanks to
you guys actually in the donations from
everybody
then we got back on the bus and up ahead
we sell out a whole lot of people way
more than expected the entire community
came together to celebrate the opening
of a brand new primary school that
pencils a promise bill here the
oscillate
and as before the celebration was full
of joy music and dance
hi honey
as they thanked each and every one of us
one by one they gave us handmade jewelry
a ton of fruit veggies and they even
give us a go as a thank you
and then it was time to cut the ribbon
and step foot on this brand new school
so we just fished up a celebration to
open up the brand new school here it's a
six unit building and everybody's
celebrating it when he's happy with
students everywhere they just did the
ribbon-cutting and I shouldn't such a
blast being part of this it's just a
very unique thing I never thought I'd be
a part of and hopefully without watching
this year or an outlet too so thank you
all for helping the donating those of
you who did and you know to share this
because there's so many great things
that can happen when you give to others
and you can just see here what has
happened bringing the community together
all ages young and old and pretty
celebrating everybody smiling it was
just so cool to see they'll come
together
and then just down the road another
school was being opened more celebration
more smiles was amazing
so we saw a number of different schools
today a lot of ribbon-cuttings and we
just said the ribbon-cutting for the
school behind me as you can see and I
just found out that this is actually one
of our schools that we built together
and that's going to be a plaque on it
with the dedication too and so it's
really exciting to actually be on the
grounds at the school that we all built
togethers so we'll walk you through it
and it's gonna be awesome it's just
can't believe it's actually here and
it's really cool to see that you know
when you donate to a charity what
happens with it and to see it actually
here and walk through it's pretty
incredible and we've met some of the
children who are gonna be attending the
school and some of the teachers and the
director it's just such an incredible
feeling I hope you guys feel it too
so this is actually one of the
classrooms of the three classrooms in
this particular building that he all
held funded so in a few months was going
to be you know hundreds of kids at the
school thanks to you learning and it's
kind of cool to see it and be one of the
first people to walk through so it's
really cool glad I get to show ste guys
can you wave to the camera the head
teacher of one of our schools I wanted
to introduce him to you can you say your
name what is all right behind us these
are the schools that we used - can you
describe how they work normally the
children are very crowded in their room
so movements there is no free movement
we have an enrollment of very much and
how is the new build can help are we
very much appreciated very spacious
in fact we very much appreciate it I it
will enable us through this way Hunt's
teaching and learning very much because
there will be free movement and then
the general will go on further well
we're happy to support you

was feeling but then the clouds parted
and the most gorgeous sunset summed it
up pretty nicely
