I'm heading out on a road trip I'm
heading down to Denver

still packing up pulling stuff together
right now
you can see few things together up here
some chargers ready to go here some
different devices and an old iPhone here
and I have some audio books loaded up
there water and stuff for the ride this
is protein powder usually protein shake
each morning and then a book that I
haven't gotten a chance to read yet then
I got a few things packed out here I
wish I could bring the kegerator but I'm
a sleeping bag here I'm actually going
to be camping out at least one night and
then I have this big pad this is like a
bivy sack it's a sleeping bag a minor
case I need extra layers are worth it's
kind of warm out and then I have my tent
right here I'm gonna bring a camp chair
right there just in case I went to sit
down I'm not sure where I'm gonna be
ending up and then I got a toolbox over
that way they'll be bringing it with me
as well so I'm gonna load this stuff up
and get on the road okay I got loaded up
it was very sad I'm leaving Georgia here
I'm not bringing her along for this trip
so she knew I was packing up the truck
and when I tried to bring her for a walk
she just tried to get in the truck
so it was sad I'm leaving her and I'm
gonna head out on the road it's about it
is one o'clock and I got about a six and
a half hour drive all the way down to
Douglas Wyoming I'm gonna go camping
tonight and a KOA hopefully it's not
gonna rain oh it's real hazy it's either
smoke or we could have a little rain so
I'm on the road see ya

all right have some breakfast at the
Mickey D's here and I've been Douglas
Wyoming I stayed at the K away the
campgrounds of America and it's spelled
with a k just for like branding reasons
or whatever and I didn't sleep that well
in the tent which is a little
unfortunate but anyway it was a nice
camp agree on one of the issues was it
was very noisy and the thing is they
told me that there's like an oil and gas
boom there were a lot of people at the
campground the oil and gas people
apparently have a lot of work trucks and
that sort of thing so I don't know it
seemed like every 20 minutes or so there
there was like a big diesel you know
halftime 3/4 ton truck driving by all
through the night like really loud
diesel trucks just like driving by
constantly

all right I made it to my friend's house
and it's Friday
noon I just ate lunch and I'm gonna take
a nap because I just didn't sleep that
well last night a lot of times I just
don't sleep well on the 10th but it
happened to be a little bit noisy last
night so I feel pretty good right now
I did have some coffee in the morning
for McDonald's which is surprisingly
good and then I made it here around you
know noon so I'm like hey I'm gonna take
a nap my friends still at work he's
probably gonna get off a little bit
early but I could probably sleep for an
hour plus or so so I'm actually not
gonna crash too hard this evening cuz I
mean I could usually push through but
next thing you know it'll be like 3:00
in the afternoon and I'll be really
tired and I'll try and rally but the
fact is I need to take a nap so that's
what I'm doing now I'm gonna take
advantage of the fact that it's nice and
quiet and it's actually a little cloudy
here in Denver today that's another well
that's not a good view there but it's
just kind of cloudy and overcast today
so I'm gonna take a nap I'll be back
later

so it's the start of the last day of the
trip and I'm in Longmont Colorado
staying at an Airbnb it's really nice
little yard here great find and I'm
ready to get home so let's hop in the
car all right we're heading out of long
months now this is a good little Tanis
much bigger than I remember I think my
friend Mackenzie was telling me there's
like over a hundred thousand people in
the city now which is like way bigger
than I expected anyway a couple of
really good breweries in town the one I
remember is a left-hand brewing milk
stout usually a nitro really good beer
and I'm ready to go home but I'm also a
little bummed and get to hang out here
now I downloaded a couple books for the
shrimp and it just worked out well
because I got it I got an email Amazon
like two days before I left said try out
audible for free you get two free books
and then you'll get a $5 Amazon gift
card okay that's a really good deal and
there's a couple books that I've had on
my radar that I just haven't picked up
yet so the first one I got was the stand
by Stephen King and it clocks in at 47
hours and 53 minutes or something like
that it's a very long book so I'm barely
making it then
I think the number of pages like in the
written bucket is something like
a thousand or 1300 pretty heavy so I'm
only a few hours into it just the French
and the other book I got is the book by
Kevin Smith the director of like clerks
and morons and a few of those others is
a couple big podcast anyway I heard this
guy Kevin Smith speak at the converted
conference in 2017 thought it was
hilarious and just sort of like got me
interested in coming Smith a little and
so when I saw his book that it would be
great contrast to Stephen King
so it's good I'm just going back and
forth
