in this video I'll be showing you how to
create a sitemap page using Elementor a
sitemap page is a really important page
to have on your website especially when
it comes to SEO in fact I was putting
together my SEO video last week did you
it was basically a full list of all the
essential tasks that you need to do on
your website to ensure that you rank
really well on the search engines if you
didn't see it up add a link up now go
check it out
one of those essential tasks was indeed
to have a sitemap page and I was doing
some work on best roof books.com which
is my amazon a few website and I
realized it didn't have a slide map page
so I'm gonna be creating one in this
video today I'm going to show you
exactly how I do it in this video i'm
gonna be using Elementor pro so if you
haven't got a copy of that yet make sure
you've got one before you get started
I'll put a link up now and they'll also
find a link in the description it's a
really good value and as well as been
out create a sitemap it's got loads of
other really useful features just a
quick note that link is an affiliate
link so I will get a small commission if
you use it really appreciate it but
anyway let's get on the computer let's
get this sitemap set up

okay so I'm over at best roof box.com
I'm logged in I've got Elementor Pro
installed ready to go
so the first thing we need to do is
create a page and that we're going to
put our sitemap on so we'll go to new
and then page
give it a title sitemap is probably all
we need to put there let's click publish
there we go that's all good now let's
edit two with elemental

okay so got a blank page rate
site map widget I was gonna scroll down
the site map is in the site section here
there it is
of course I want to find a bit quicker
you can just type
and then we go so just gonna drag it
over
and if we're now ready to start
configuring it in adjusting the options
so the default one has got four columns
so as you add things at the toasts maybe
I put some into columns I'm not
particularly keen of the column layout I
kind of like it all is just one column
so let's make it one column
I think that looks better here you can
adjust the title HTML tag h2 is probably
fine can add a nofollow if you want
though I wouldn't recommend that I don't
think we need to do that in additional
options you can exclude certain posts
and pages if you want so R example maybe
you've got a Thank You page or something
like that
that people view after they fill in a
form or something or maybe you've got a
check out you don't want to check out
pages to appear enter the IDS in here
though for all right yeah after enter I
indeed you can just search them so
manual section and then type in the page
1a exclude so there we go you can also
exclude protected posts
I'm just gonna rearrange these elements
so we've got pages and categories and
then I turn on a free which we should
probably give a name let's call it post
that's what it is
I'm actually to put that at the top so
you can just drag it up
well the posts first then the pages and
then categories I'm gonna put categories
underneath
that's that bit done you've got some
style options here you can add a bit of
indent if you like you know
whatever you like maybe around 40 might
be nice okay and padding if you need to
anything I need to it looks fine you can
adjust the colors the typography at the
moment it's just matching up with my
site you can change the bullet styles
maybe yeah but it's a little like that
even squares or or none at all it's up
to you I think that the normal circles
are absolutely fine then in advance
you've got the usual element or Advanced
Settings you got margin padding again
and add a CSS class and all this other
stuff which you get in all of the
widgets but yeah I don't need to mess
with any of that I think the site map is
fine
let's click update
there we go now let's have a look can
you click preview all week and of course
just go to view page so there we go
there's our sitemap looking good that's
perfectly fine really happy with that
that was nice and easy wasn't it
the final thing I'm gonna do is just add
it to my menu I've got this footer menu
down the bottom there so here it is
footer menu put into menus
I'm just gonna get that page and where
should we have it I think they're
perfect let's click Save
let's visit the site
there it is in my foots a menu and there
it's working perfectly so we're all done
