I'm going to show you how you can
install Facebook pixel to your WordPress
website in few easy steps like it's
going to be really really simple and
easy to follow so without further ado
let's get right to it so right now we're
in the dashboard of one of my wordpress
websites I want to point out that this
websites it's not about wordpress.com
free blogging platform we're not using
that we're using WordPress self hosted
websites so when you log in to the
dashboard you're gonna see something
somewhat similar to what you see right
now in the video because very much all
the dashboard of all the WordPress
websites look more or less the same so
after you logged into your dashboard
all you have to do is go to plugins and
click add new why we're going to plugins
to install Facebook pixel you have
pretty much two options when it comes to
self hosted WordPress website the first
option is to actually copy the entire
code of Facebook pixel and insert it
into the code of your website into the
header it can be easy for some people
but it's first of all manual work and
you would need to know where to install
in which place not to mess up with the
code of the website because if you do
something wrong then you might find some
issues with the entire website of yours
so you really have to be careful with
that and it's not easy for the beginners
for people who don't know coding even
though I'm not that much of a beginner
in terms of digital marketing I still am
not very comfortable with coding because
I never learned coding and I try not to
mess with the codes of the websites or
any other kind of platforms and all that
for this very reason in this video we're
going with option number 2 we're going
to use a plugin so after you arrive to
these they
you are supposed to add and install new
plugins to your WordPress website you
just click search and then type in pixel
your site as a one word not three
different separate words but one word as
a whole as you can see pixel your site
plugin and click install and after that
you just click activate after that you
will find pixel your site in the list of
the rest of the plugins of your website
if it's not activated you will see
something like this activate or delete
if it's not activated then just click
activate and you will have to see this
kind of deactivate it will mean that
pixel your site plugin is activated
that's what we need after that you will
see per pixel yourself plugin right here
in the left color bar and just click
dashboard so in front of you are the
settings of pixel your site plugin and
as you can see this plugin you can see
you can use not only to install fizzle
pixel but also to install Google
Analytics Pinterest and even Microsoft
ads or X Bing ads tag Google ads tag as
well and you know but for this you will
need to get some additional add-ons or
pro version pro version cost some money
I'm not sure how much because I don't
use pro version myself if you need to
install just Facebook pixel then free
version is more than enough what we have
to do now is get our Facebook pixel ID
you can find your Facebook pixel ID in
the Facebook as manager or business
manager so after you go there you have
to find Events Manager now I have my as
manager a little bit kind of upgraded
they were proposing me to use the new
interface that they are releasing
worldwide these days but I kind of
reverted my main Facebook Ads manager to
the old version because I liked it more
but some of the options
like some of the parts of the as manager
or business manager are looking new and
apparently they removed the section that
is called pixels if you use old business
manager or Facebook as manager you will
see pixels as a menu in the event in the
business manager but if you don't have
that then go to Events Manager and you
will arrive to this page so right here
you will see the name of the account and
pixel ID this what we actually need we
don't need any code of the pixel nothing
like that all we have to do is to
extract this pixel ID number then click
copy then go back to your dashboard of
your self-hosted WordPress then paste
your pixel ID inside the field so here
we are after that all you have to do is
just click Save Settings
now after that just to make sure that
the Facebook pixel tracking is on you
just go to Facebook settings right here
on the right and make sure that enable
Facebook pixel is on then there's
another step how you can check whether
or not the pixel is actually working and
is actually installed on your website
but before that I want to show you how
you can install a conversion pixel a
conversion pixel means that when you are
collecting a lead for example with your
opt-in form that lead after submitting
the data they are going to the Thank You
page if you set up everything correctly
and for the best tracking I recommend
you to install conversion or leads
Facebook pixel to that face Thank You
page so that you can track all those
people that converted that became your
subscribers that are your leads this way
you will be able to create a look-alike
audience or custom audience for your
leads to run some ads and you know some
advanced stuff for this you have to go
to events right here and right here we
can just click Add it will open this
window and you
can click for example conversion leads
event then you have to add the URL of
your thank-you page the page where
people are arriving after they submit
subscribe to your newsletter for example
and let's imagine that my Thank You page
like if you subscribe on this website
where I missed installing Facebook pixel
is sciatica cure now calm then my Thank
You page would be sciatica cure now calm
/ thank you but it depends on how you
setup so you have to actually it's
better to go to that Thank You page
yourself and copy that entire URL and
after that paste inside this field so
imagine that my Thank You page URL is
sciatica cure now calm / thank you I'd
like to attract your attention to this
option that you have two options either
URL contains or URL match I recommend
you to have Ural contains and copy kind
of long URL inside of this field then
make sure to click right here to enable
on Facebook
and choose the event type in our case it
will be lead but if you are selling
something and people arrive to this
Thank You page after they purchase
something on your website like in
e-commerce for example then you can
choose purchase so it will depend what
kind of conversion you want to track or
Add to Cart or like initial check out
there are a lot of different options in
our case it will be lead because I'm
collecting leads to my email list after
you've done that just click Save event
one more thing if you are using Chrome
browser I recommend you to go to apps
and actually install Facebook pixel
helper extension Facebook pixel helper
extension to your Chrome browser as you
can see I already have it why do you
need that you actually need these to
double check whether or not your pixel
is installed correctly so we can go to
our website where we installed
pixal and check it out ourselves so we
have to actually disable adblock both on
this side refresh their website and see
ourselves as you can see right here we
have two events fired on our website
general event it's just general tracking
of your website visitors and page view
and if we go to our Thank You page for
example our Facebook pixel helper will
show us or Leeds as well right here with
a green dot so that's it guys as you can
see installing Facebook pixel is
extremely easy and it's very important I
can't stress this enough it's very
important to install Facebook pixel to
your website if you plan to run Facebook
gasp if you don't plan to run Facebook
ads right away it doesn't really matter
I still recommend you to install
Facebook pixel today so it starts
collecting data of your website visitors
and then eventually when you will want
to run Facebook ads in your niche
related to your website you will already
have enough data to create custom
audience of your website visitors to
create look-alike audience of your email
list or your website visitors as well so
it's really important now guys if you
