mine is also my share how to succeed

online and I also document my own

journey in this video I want to address

one of the biggest issues that online

entrepreneurs face especially at the

beginning of their journey and this

issue is called shiny object syndrome if

you don't know what shiny object

syndrome is is basically a mental trap

that doesn't let you focus on one idea

on one project and forces you to jump

from one idea to another from one

project to another this way instead of

focusing on one idea and working on it

until the end until you see the results

you start one project and then all of a

sudden you start thinking that this

project is not going to work out and

that new idea that attracted your

attention this is the one this is going

to make you rich and you leave behind

that first project and jump over to the

new idea and these basically repeats

over and over and over again you jump

from one idea from one project to

another then to another to another this

way you start many different projects

and instead of succeeding at least in

one of them you don't succeed in any of

them

and as a result it was time you lose

money and the most important you will

believe in yourself and believe that

you're ever going to succeed as an

entrepreneur shiny object syndrome is

actually a quite dangerous mental trap

and it can take the opportunity to

become a successful entrepreneur away

from you if you will not learn how to

deal with it this was the main struggle

the main reason why it took me seven

years to make my first dollar online so

in this video I want to share with you

guys what I came up with on how to

overcome shiny object syndrome and when

it comes to this type of mental traps

and bad habits I never try to get rid of

them the hard way I always try to tame

them to transform them the way that they

lose the power and speaking about

overcoming shiny object syndrome I came

up with this simple yet very practical

solution so here it is there are few

simple steps step number one you come up

with an idea

with a project with a maybe make money

online method that you feel that you

like the most right at this moment or

you are the most interested in or you

think that this is the best opportunity

right here right now let's say it can be

affiliate marketing it can be drop

shipping amazon would be any any kind of

way that you think that is gonna work

out the best for you step number two you

launch this idea of this project so you

basically invest all your time and

resources into this project until the

level that it is launched it went live

and this step number three maintaining

this project which means doing the

minimum amount of work to keep this

project alive so for example if your

project is affiliate marketing websites

then maintaining your affiliate

marketing website would mean publishing

at least one article per week the least

you can do is one article per two weeks

now let me explain you why it helps you

to overcome shiny object syndrome the

idea behind the solution is that you

spend the minimum amount of time and

resources on your list let's say main

project your foundational project for

example with affiliate marketing website

you publish only one hot couple week or

maybe even per two weeks this way you

have all your free time to test other

things to run other ventures to try

different methods for example in

addition to affiliate marketing website

that you already launched and keep

publishing articles every week or two

you can try and test drop shipping

business for example you can launch your

Shopify store and test a couple of

products and see how how is going to

work out for you at the same time you

don't abandon your affiliate marketing

website and as we all know that to rank

a website especially a new website in

Google it takes time and even if you

would be publishing every single day new

articles it still would take time to

rank in Google and when you're updating

your affiliate marketing website once

per week of

two weeks you show to Google that you

care about your website that you publish

regularly new content to your website

and Google eventually will rank your

website maybe Google will not rank your

website as soon as you were publishing

every single day but eventually you will

start seeing traffic to your website

from Google this way you can spend the

rest of your free time and resources to

satisfy your shiny object syndrome urges

actually it's not always a bad idea

because this kind of like shiny object

syndrome allows you to test different

things different methods different

opportunities and sometimes it's a good

idea because you actually don't really

know what you are going to be good at

either fail at marketing or dropshipping

Facebook ads or Google Adwords and when

you follow your shiny objects or urges

you kind of let yourself test different

things and see what you like the most

what you're good at the thing is that

after testing all sorts of opportunities

and different kind of methods you may

find out that nothing of those worked

out well for you and if you were

maintaining that your let's say base

project throughout all this time you may

find out that that base project started

ranking in Google started bringing

traffic and some sales so at this moment

you can just jump all into that project

and boost it with more content with some

SEO with some additional promotional

methods and actually become successful

this little trick works really well for

me and I really hope that it will also

help you to overcome your shiny object
