hi everyone I'm gonna ask you something
today are you thinking of starting a
YouTube channel of your own if you are
then this video is definitely going to
help you with my experience on YouTube
till now how exactly I started it and
now I am going to be finishing up on one
year of this channel in December but
this video is going to particularly deal
with what you should do when you are
starting a YouTube channel of your own
so let's get started the first thing
that you need to do is stop thinking
about starting okay just go and upload
the first video you do not have to
bother about the quality nobody has the
perfect quality on their first video
unless they belong to the field of
videography or photography so you know
that is not really expected out of you
what is expected out of you is to be
true to your dreams and start your
channel with the first video that you're
going to upload you are certainly going
to learn a lot of new stuff when you
will start on this journey I knew
nothing when I started I come from a
finance background I have no experience
of this field at all I the only thing
that I did right was that I uploaded my
first video and the funny thing is that
the first video was actually a it was a
flying fox experience and it was barely
a video of 50 seconds or so so I just
had to you know do something I just had
to upload something and that video was
lying on my phone and I just uploaded it
without shooting anything properly for
my first video and then started my
journey and I started to upload new
stuff and it's been 80 videos or so in
the last nine months and it's been going
good and that is how it happens for
anybody so you just have to hit your
first video no matter how you do it just
just upload your first video okay that
is all that you need to do to start the
channel second thing very important I
see a lot of people making this mistake
they buy all the new stuff they buy
heavy
magnificent cameras and they invest so
much money into lighting and buying the
tripods and of course all the new latest
technology and the software not required
actually not required you know why
because when you invest so much right in
the beginning the burden is so heavy
okay the there is so much to lose that
you know that the journey becomes a
burden for you rather than becoming fun
YouTube channel is more of a creation in
itself so you know something that you
are willing to create should not be done
out of burden please do not invest money
right in the beginning take some time
see for yourself whether you're actually
enjoying this journey or not third very
important thing is that you need to do a
lot of research there are plenty of
videos on YouTube which teach you how to
build a channel okay so you need to see
those videos you need to do other
research also you need to read the stuff
that is available on various websites
and the books that are written on
building this platform so you need to
really indulge into growing your
knowledge about this channel building
okay and that is what everybody does
everybody does this even I do it another
very important thing is that I don't
think it's always going to be fun but
you know what this is very natural it
comes to everybody it happens with
everyone do not take your feeling very
seriously it is not going to last
whenever something like this happens all
you have to do is just to revisit the
reason why you started the channel in
the first place and when you will
actually think about your reason it is
going to give you power to keep going
with it okay
nothing is always fun there are cycles
to it there are phases to it and that is
going to happen to you also sometimes
you are going to feel that it's not
worth it or maybe you know it take it
takes a lot of effort oh my god I am
tired I am done and you know people are
not watching my videos I'm not getting
views and not getting subscriptions all
of this happens with everyone so do not
worry okay and just remember only the
people who are victorious and feeling
these things and coming out of it those
are the people who really have nice
channels today most important thing
about this video is going to be
consistency consistency is everything
you cannot leave your audience
forgetting about you okay you have to
keep reminding them of you of your
presence of your existence you have to
keep giving them nice content every now
and then there are so many channels on
YouTube which say that they're going to
upload a video every week or every
fortnight or every month but you know
what whenever you will see the last
video they uploaded it's going to be
like five or six months ago this is not
a good practice to follow if you're
promising something please deliver it
and if you are not in a position to
deliver it please don't promise another
thing that I want to talk about is
please do not worry about monetization
quite early it is going to take time and
do not even you know think about making
money from YouTube unless you are at
least or you're into this business okay
and it is sometimes it happens early for
people and sometimes it really takes a
lot of time before they start to get ads
on their channel or collaborating with
people it takes time and last this is my
bonus tip to you and not I haven't seen
many people talking about this if you
are going to start your channel always
remember you need to go live people who
have subscribed to your channel they
need to be engaged okay you need to talk
to them very often and you need to show
up it is always a good experience
whenever I go live I thoroughly enjoy
those 30 40 minutes with the people who
are there on my channel it really feels
amazing and it feels lively and it feels
good that then you know there are people
on this planet who otherwise do not know
you but they still a little bit you know
some that care about you
