hi everyone my name is Alena and lately
my frequency of uploading the videos has
been on the lower end it's because I
really am focusing on creating some
quality rather than quantity these days
might change in the future but for now
it's going to be this way for a while so
anyway I just recently maybe three or
four days ago I happened to try
something new on Instagram which I
wanted to share with you people I it was
just a little experiment that I did and
as you know that I like experimenting
with things and I like trying out new
things so this was one little thing that
I tried if you use Instagram you would
know that there is this system that
every time you upload a picture
Instagram tells you to promote the
picture okay so they show you your own
picture on your feet and they tell you
to promote it okay there is this small
icon which says promoted right so I have
been using Instagram for a year now and
of course I am not too focused but I do
upload pictures once in a while so this
time I was I uploaded something and the
same thing happened they sent me this
they promote they tried to make
convinced me to promote it and this time
I listened actually and I really
promoted one of my pictures so this one
was the picture that I promoted and the
reason behind taking this picture
although it's not a very professional
picture there are one or two reasons for
it first reason was that it was Indian
wear and I felt nice
I like Indian wear so I thought why not
you know I love saris and another thing
is that this was the picture which had
the most number of likes in my Instagram
account so I thought why not let's start
with this one and I will give you exact
stats of what I did and how I did it so
since this was my first time it was not
very confident about it I did not know
how it works so I only fixed my budget
at 160 rupees so only 160 rupees for two
days promotion all right and before I
get into the details
want to be very clear here with you that
it it work for me I believe that it
worked ok it may work better for me or
may work worse for me and may work
better for you or worse for you it's
completely dependent on person to person
but I believe that it worked for me
because I mean this was my first
experience and the kind of response that
I got I was not really expecting that
much but why I decided to shoot a video
on this was that I actually thought that
why not let the other people know and
let my followers know that you know this
is one way where you can actually create
some kind of a following for yourself on
Instagram and maybe on your website or
whatever you are doing in your life and
this may help you in actually bringing
up the product that you're selling ok so
I I guess so 160 rupees I set as my
budget and I ran the promotion for only
two days time number of likes that I got
was 3000 okay 3000 likes or I got on
that picture and I got 60 followers out
of it so roughly if you have to measure
performed 2.6 rupees so that means if I
have to gain 10,000 followers this is
just a simple math that I'm doing trust
me it doesn't really work this way when
you increase the budget when you will
increase the budget the response that
you will be getting will be as I am
expecting will be more than this okay so
if I have to this RI if I have to gather
a following of 10,000 I I am expecting
to spend somewhere between 20 to 25,000
rupees for that and I'll have to
consistently promote my pictures for one
or two days and you know spend 100 200
rupees and accordingly you'll have to
plan it I am NOT doing that I just did
it once and I made a video on it so yes
and if you do get a following of 10,000
on your Instagram account this is when
they say that you start earning money on
your Instagram account so if you manage
to gather
that following that that can actually
start as a passive income for you and
few in future of course you know on the
internet things grow exponentially that
is my experience they do not grow at the
same pace as the time passes by the pace
picks up okay so the time will pass and
automatically the following the kind of
followers that you're getting and the
response that you're getting on the
Internet is also going to speed up so I
think this may be a good way of
promoting your product and gathering
some kind of following for yourself and
earning good money in future and I
really mean it I sense I think I have
developed some sense of confidence in
promotion and I've also realized that
you know till the time you're not
advertising or you're not promoting the
stuff that you're creating people are
not even aware of your existence so it's
important especially in the beginning
that you create first of all you create
something worthwhile you should not
create something that you wouldn't want
to promote and you wouldn't like to
promote you should have a belief in what
you're promoting okay so first of all
you need to create something nice you
need to put in some effort and you need
to have some belief in what you're
promoting and secondly it's actually
important to spend some money on
advertisement and promotion because only
then you're going to make the world
aware that you exist and then it is
their choice and it is up to them
whether they want to follow you or they
don't want to follow you but I'm telling
you they will follow you you will get
some kind of following and if this in
