Live on the M Trail

hey what's up its Doug Huntington here
I'm on the hike so I said that I was
going to come up to this mountain I'm
kind of on the side of a mountain but
you could see the range is behind me in
the hillside so in Bozeman Montana and
hopefully a couple people will join up
it's very quiet up here today hopefully
it's not too windy but there's not very
many people there's like no one around
which is why I'm just like sort of in
the middle of the trail I'll pick up the
tripod in a second and sort of show
people around but there's like a big M
here that you can see from really far
away it stands for Montana for Montana
State University and excuse me I took
like a mile and a half hike up here and
just chillin up here for a minute
I'm trying to make sure bees don't fly
into my shirt which is I guess a risk so
I think I saw David awesome and tejana
Wesley yeah so it's nice up here it's
only like 10 miles to get to the
trailhead and then just a few minutes to
walk up so yeah thanks it's really nice
around here yeah I'm gonna try and I'll
turn around in a second and Wesley I
could talk to you all so I'll try and
turn it around in a second but it's like
it's kind of windy up here so hopefully
it's not too loud I know that kind of
stuff sucks to hear but at least I
brought a tripod so and maybe I thought
about maybe later on this week like this
trail goes up I'm pointing up you can't
see but I'll turn the camera around the
trail goes up like another several miles
to a Baldy peak is the name when it
turns around it'll just look like
nothing really but as I pan up you'll
see like it's pretty it's like that's
super steep I don't know if you
telling us very steep up there but it
goes up for another like a few miles I
think like maybe three and a half more
miles
so five totals so maybe I'll check that
out in the next day or so and then I
will try to pan this around just a like
so I came up that way from there over
there this where it came from but
there's also this other steeper route
which is kind of hard and then there's
town down there ish and I live somewhere
over there that area and then yeah
there's like we're in the valley here so
there's just it's kind of hazy like way
over there but there's like mountain
ranges all around here and I expected
there to be like a ton of people cuz
it's pretty nice out this is tourist
season and I thought there'd be like way
more people but I've only seen like a
handful and no one's chillin up here
which is kind of surprising so there's
the M which is kind of hard to see here
because I'm so close to it but from my
house like from my window you can see
this M here so yeah that's about it I
didn't actually have anything else to
mention here other than show off how the
thing is it does get cold in the winter
so I think it's pretty cold in the
winter and this is like covered with
snow for you know a few months of the
year but you can still walk up here you
could bring like snowshoes and walk up
here which I actually haven't done a
snowshoe hike up here when it got snow
yeah just like did other stuff instead
but yeah that's about it so thanks for
hopping on anyone have questions of the
location here or anything about Montana
or Bozeman or
I thought I thought I was gonna like
record really fast and then like shut
down cuz I don't know I feel like if
someone walks up I'll be embarrassed
just say yeah brought a camera up here
and I'm doing a livestream but I guess
it's cool cuz like it's a nice thing to
see alright awesome thanks for hopping
on and I'll probably I may do a couple
more of these in areas which I actually
get signal and can stream and stuff like
that
okay so tejana asks what's Bozeman or
Montana most known the four so Bozeman
is very close to Yellowstone National
Park
so have you heard of Yellowstone Donna
it's they have a bunch of geysers there
yeah actually I think something like
sixty it's like 60 or 70 percent of the
world's geysers are in this like small
region and it takes me like I think it
would take me 2 or 3 hours to drive down
to like Old Faithful and some of the
other features down there and Montana is
known as Big Sky Country because well
the sky is big there's a lot of the area
in this like whole region where it's
very flat there's not a lot of trees out
there
mod says it's night there yeah it's like
middle of the day here like like 2 or 3
in the afternoon I'm not sure what time
it is but yeah so kind of Yellowstone's
really close and that's one of the
reasons why we came here
also there's like mountains and stuff
around here lots of mountains all around
which we enjoy just you know to to hike
and just to see them the other thing
people talk about much is there's not
much traffic here so I came from Italy
you know where there's a lot of traffic
you know a lot of cities have tons of
traffic Atlanta is one of them in here
there's not much traffic so you could
basically get across town in 10 or 15
minutes so yeah I highly recommend
Yellowstone tejana if you can if you can
make it out here you'll probably fly
through the airport that's like right
over there so this is like one of the
main it gets busy in the summer because
people fly through Bozeman to get to
Yellowstone it's the closest big Airport
so cool well thanks everyone for joining
up I'm going to oh I'll just since
they're still knowing around and I don't
feel dumb talking to myself up here it's
you find people so I was I was sitting
up here just drinking some water before
I did the livestream and there was a guy
who walked up and
