all right we are live miles dr. here
miles Becker calm and today I'm doing a
kind of a quick asking me anything or a
question-and-answer session with you
here the first thing I want to make sure
that my audio is coming through my video
feeds coming through so if you can hear
me clearly give me a thumbs up say yes
let me know in the comments I've got the
chat here I love hearing where you're
from we already got Oregon Spain Germany
Portugal Toronto Wow Seabrook Island I
don't even know where that is it's
pretty amazing so let me just really
quickly double check that the stream is
working as expected so one quick perfect
sounds good looks good to me you guys
are probably picking that audio up
welcome it's Sunday huh for some of you
it might actually be Monday if you're on
the other side of the International
Dateline perfect South Carolina wow
that's awesome we got people all over
Dominican Republic Lansing Michigan Jay
I hope you're staying warm and bundled
up for the big game I assume you are
supposedly pretty cold up in that part
Texas in the house probably somebody
else with some 70 degree weather like
we've got here in Arizona I'm really
excited I'm great ZQ b18 thanks for
asking
happy to be here Kazakh Stan Wow this is
awesome
I'm gonna jump in I noticed some people
got their comments in like literally
they were here early they put the
questions in the comments if you have
questions for me feel free to write out
your questions inside of the chat box be
specific but not overly specific write
help me help zero me in on what we're
talking about I'm open to talking about
everything from copywriting and video
sales letters to funnels and Facebook
and SEO whatever whatever you've got on
your mind I've got about an hour here
which means about 55 minutes my wife has
to do her video today she's got a
deliverable to do today and we got the
farmers market we got a year-round
farmers market here so I gotta get to
the farmers market get my fruits and
veggies I hope all is well wow dude 27
minutes away from Sunday in Thailand
what's going on James from Thailand I
believe
every one man I think we've got people
all over the world on this here man we
got Tyler Texas I love it my rom what's
crackin man Tampa
good morning Brooklyn New York Tony I
hope you're staying warm we got Nigeria
in the house Ken D I believe that rounds
out every continent other than
Antarctica and I'm gonna you know just
kind of concede Antarctica I don't know
if I'll ever get a viewer on a live
stream from there and that's okay I
can't win them all right so I'm going
right up again I'm gonna jump in I like
to keep these question-and-answer
sessions moving forward I believe even
if you're watching the replay on this
there's a lot of value in hearing the
answers to other people's questions
because a lot of times in these
situations other people have questions
that you don't even necessarily know you
have but the answer will give you
clarity where you're at and on your path
moving forward so I get a lot of value
out of these which is why I try to do at
least one of these per month might be
increased in that frequency so the first
question was Isaac Cruz so let's see
here you're on day seven of your 60 day
plus blog posts every day that's
fantastic what are my next thoughts on
accelerating things a little bit you're
considering white hat link building or
video marketing so white hat link
building is a slippery slope and it
really depends on what you're talking
about in white hat link building the
best way to do white hat link building
in my opinion is to either create the
types of content they get other people
to link to you naturally and then you
have to do a lot of outreach and it
becomes an outreach game more than it
does the other side is kind of writing
guest posts which is literally
duplicating out your effort and going
from writing one post a day for 60 day
challenge to doing two posts per day
which kind of makes it crazy I think the
most important thing when you're doing a
90 day challenge or any sort of these
kinds of content marketing challenges is
to really practice patience and
understand that you know marathon
runners when they're on mile two of a
twenty four point something mild
marathon they don't think how can I
speed this up they know that this
marathon is twenty four point six miles
or somebody's gonna correct me because I
don't probably don't have the right
number but they know that it's more
important to find a rhythm and find
their pace so they can actually make it
to the end because people who try to
sprint at the beginning of marathons die
like not literally I'm talking
figuratively but they don't make it to
the end or if they do they don't put in
good times the people who truly put in
good times and win marathons are people
who can come out of the gate with a
consistent pace and stick with it for
the duration of the race maybe turning
it up turn up the heat a little bit on
that last mile right maybe it's that
follow-through it's sprinting through
the finish line that gives you that
little extra edge and that comes from
energy management and having energy at
the end the biggest kind of enemy of a
90-day challenge is burnout to be
perfectly honest and that hits most
people because it gets our demons go and
it gets our doubt going like why am I
doing this I'm not seeing any results
I've got a video that talks about I got
a lot of videos that talk about my
results and doing it for the act of
doing it you'll be kept become a better
content writer I think if you're if
you're good on and comfortable on camera
getting the video going to to where your
blog posts can have videos embedded your
video could potentially rank it will
rank on YouTube then your blog will rank
on on Google you're pretty much
dominating - the biggest search engines
right then and there and you might be
able to break off a podcast in the
future but just my biggest note here is
to remember that this is a very long
process and when you're done with a 90
day challenge that it ain't over like
you don't get to kick back and grab my
ties on the beach that's like the start
you're out of the starting gates at that
point and you just need to keep it up
for three to five years so learning
patience is probably the biggest thing
they're cool on so many kudos I'm so got
the UK in the house that's awesome so
glad to have everybody here I jumped on
that I did an early stream yes for more
friends in Germany and Europe and all
over the place so I'm just gonna scroll
down here give me a minute and these
khans jump around a bit but all will be
good we'll find it
George Roper what's my best source of
traffic Google from Google organic
traffic from Google is probably the best
okay
so right when I said that I was thinking
Kindle books because people who buy our
Kindle books on Amazon and read through
and then go into our funnel because we
we do our opt-ins and our giveaways from
our Kindle books they seem since they've
already bought something of ours even
though they didn't buy it from us
directly they bought it from Amazon that
does kind of increase the likelihood of
them purchasing more things from us in
the future because someone who buys our
books consumes our content then comes to
our website to opt-in they've already
had a lot of positive engagements with
us and they have a feeling as if they're
already a customers of ours or a client
of ours and that increases their
likelihood of purchasing more from us
but that's a small traffic source Google
organic content is my probably my
favorite because the scalability my
wife's site gets 8 million visits per
year 22 million pageviews my site's
getting 20 22 thousand visits per month
and we control the environment we
control that racecourse so we have
pop-ups we have in-text opt-in links we
have links to affiliate products so most
of our revenue and most of our list
growth comes from Google organic traffic
but then again like if you hate writing
and writing is not for you writing great
content for organic traffic marketing
organic content marketing on Google is
very difficult and that's why so I do
these videos this is my initiation point
for the content and then I have systems
and teammates to make the written
content it's still my favorite but I
don't do the work so if you're in a
bootstrap mode and you're doing all of
the work make sure you're choosing one
that's in alignment with your DNA with
your heart with what you enjoy doing
because it has to get done consistently
for months and years on end and if it's
not enjoyable like if I tried to force
myself to write every day for three
years I'd make it like four days and
then I'd give up and go play with other
shiny objects
so that's why you got to find what works
for you I hope that helps so Springs is
it simple enough to create your own
funnel without thrive themes or some
sort of sales files software so my big
question to you is do you have HTML
coding skills and if you do are you
comfortable working with web hooks and
api's to tie into the email software
management systems I have a good friend
Jonathan he was creating landing pages
and he he's a software engineer and a
coder like he gets he lives in code he
worked for Zynga
as a project manager on some of their
early games so this dude gets code he
was hand coding everything and getting
the click pops to work right in the tie
and the api's was a pain in the neck he
plugged into thrive themes and he was
amazed that he was able to build out an
entire funnel in an afternoon when he
had spent literally over a week trying
to hand code everything and this dude
was a pro so like is it possible like of
course it is
is it worth your time and energy is
probably a better question thrive themes
is a great value in my personal opinion
for for what you get because there is a
team of coders you get their University
you get all their tutorial videos and
they're updating it for you so as
WordPress updates they update with it
and their updates come pretty pretty hot
and heavy they've also just integrated a
new AV split testing inside of the
WordPress dashboard and like for you to
try to code in like you know a be split
testing monitoring would be ridiculous
like you'd have to tie in Google
experiments which is doable but it's
just like is it worth your time is is
the real question and if you're like an
absolute gangster with HTML CSS PHP
JavaScript and you know like that that
is your language you're good at that
like it might be a fun experiment but I
still don't think it'll be worth your
time and energy
refined strength what's up good to have
you here so zq b18 I should come up with
a name for you like zur Quan Baroness
fine or something zqb would be the
initials random anyways a potential
client wants you to make them an
e-commerce store what do you do
you mentioned Shopify or not how could
you create an e-commerce store okay so
that's a great question I think Shopify
is a great option and a great solution
are you trying to consult and work with
them in a way that they're gonna be
married to you forever and you want that
ongoing work to manage that store
forever or do you want to help them
implement something that you could
eventually train them on and essentially
kind of leave and work on other projects
and let them be more self-sustaining
obviously they could reach out to you
for more help or you could start to get
into the SEO and to the marketing of set
products
I think Shopify is a great solution if
you're trying to get them onto a
platform that they could eventually
manage the other option I would consider
would be WooCommerce which is a plugin
for WordPress it's they're very very
similar WooCommerce is going to be Ho
saying you need a theme I recommend
thrive themes and then WooCommerce
WooCommerce creates kind of the the
Shopify type store in WordPress on
Shopify you'd want Shopify and then
you'd build on a wordpress blog on the
outside of it at the same domain so if
you like four slash blog is actually
WordPress blog and then you would do all
your content marketing there either or
works great I loved when I was doing
client work to actually help clients get
themselves to a point where they didn't
need my services anymore because I don't
like being I don't like everything
somebody wants to do they have to keep
coming to me because it just fills my
inbox in it it sucks up my time so it's
more about your goals I would not go to
Magento if unless there's a very
specific reason you need to use Magento
Magento developers are like hundred to
two hundred dollars an hour for even
even guys in like India and if you're
trying to play the marketing arbitrage
games so I would avoid Magento at all
costs and I would either do Shopify or
WooCommerce Zen cart is an open-source
ecommerce platform and I would search
for other open-source ones if you're but
if you're comfortable something just
just guide them in the right way because
that's why they're paying you right
they're paying you to guide them they're
not paying you to choose something fancy
for fancy sake so you're tied in forever
they just want a result so what's the
quickest and easiest way to help them
get that result and it seems like
Shopify could easily be that so Facebook
keeps locking up your account refined
strength in California awesome we got
California on here sweet we got the real
estate Whisperer on 56 watching that's
awesome seventy-eight viewers on Sunday
morning I didn't know it's game day you
know most people care about that stuff
and I figured I just jump on I got a
coffee gotta have a little sip of coffee
pour over with coconut milk and coconut
cream oh that's the hit so gang
Mauro's I don't do consultations these
these live streams are as close as it
gets right now and the reason is because
my focus is on helping as many people as
possible and if I start doing a bunch of
hourly consultations that's gonna keep
what little time I have available from
the big audience and I love the fact
that there's 81 viewers on here and
that's my goal is to help thousands of
people become successful entrepreneurs
because we don't know what's going on
with the economy we don't know where the
world's going so taking control of our
income creation
systems is super important and that's
why I like working in bigger picture
stuff Las Vegas Nevada in the house
probably nice and warm therefore I've
seen 80s man I was down to Tucson at a
gem show I went to a so we're in the
meditation and spirituality niche
crystals are something that we could
definitely sell to our audience the
largest crystal and gem and mineral show
in the world is in Tucson Arizona I just
went down there for three days met a
bunch of vendors essentially playing a
mental exercise of do I want to can I
add on selling crystals to my existing
audience the the jury's out on that
still but boy it was like 82 degrees I
was wearing flip-flops and shorts and
getting like having to put sunscreen on
it was like ha springtime come on um
anyways random so uh keen a bidet ho
would you know if there's a need to
focus on one social media platform or a
little bit on I'm all about going deep
on platforms that are the most connected
and most used by your audience so if
you've got like women who are in their
50s and you're selling like housewares I
would go all-in on Pinterest personally
if you've got guys who are like 19 to 22
who are playing video games I would
learn twitch I would look into snapchat
I would find where those guys are and I
would master the one platform that
they're on it takes so much energy to
get really really good at a platform and
they're always changing
I mean Instagram just today announced
that they're gonna start allowing
scheduled posts for business accounts
through the API which is like a huge
breakthrough but it's gonna cause a lot
more noise on Instagram and everyone's
approach who's on Instagram wants to
maintain relevance on Instagram they're
gonna need to adapt to that little
change and these changes come out all
the time so I really think it's most
important to go deep with one first and
then start to add on the other ones but
you got to create native content for
each platform you're on me I started
with YouTube that was my first then I
went to written content on my blog for
Google that was my second then I went
over to podcast which is my third now
I'm in a point where I'm doing a little
bit of Instagram a little bit of this a
little bit of that but I'm thinking more
about Kindle books and stuff in Istanbul
in the house that's awesome
thank you for your kind words I love
love all the positive crime where's
Puerto Rico Puerto Rico in the house my
wife at the gem show got a ring with a
lot Omar Larimar it's a stone from my be
Dominican Republic might be Puerto Rico
I think beautiful just just total random
association for you here at this point
in the morning watching from Morocco
that's awesome solid movie about Morocco
last night glad you guys are liking the
video so Daniel how do you write to
Facebook to unblock your account because
you can't create a business manager it's
saying the accounts blocked man I don't
know I would go in so for a while inside
of your ad account there was like a
little owl up in the top corner you
could click that but I would go through
Facebook's help documents and I would
just go down Google because Facebook has
a like a forum type system where people
are communicating with their help and I
would look for how people in your
situation found answers to their
problems and found ways to go and yeah
it is kind of a I mean it's a big
challenge it's it's very annoying to say
the least but you just kind of got to
dig in and and keep keep going
[Music]
Shane Cox customer acquisition
specialist welcome how long does it take
to rank on the first page of Google it
depends so my wife can put up a post
right now and if it's if it's really
targeted and it's the best post for that
like her site will show up in the number
one spot on Google within about 20 to 30
minutes but she's been building that
site for eight to nine years so it just
depends on where you're out on that
growth curve what your domain Authority
is what your page Authority is but once
you have a strong authority site I mean
it's it's ours you know within 24 hours
my posts are generally I've seen one of
mine go up in like 3 to 6 hours to hit
the the first page of Google so but it
takes it takes like a lot of work before
so are you talking about the act of
publishing one post and getting that to
go live like it could be as as few as 20
minutes are you talking about the the
several years of hard work to build
enough authority to get that kind of
leverage on your side obviously that
would be years so its perspective right
the trees from the forest it's that that
perspective on it
rates hiking out real estate has yeah so
interesting the the rates hiking up real
estate has slowed a little bit people
are starting to think I mean for I got
locked in at like three point eight five
percent late last year I was looking
today it's like four or four and a half
percent there's there's definitely
people out there it like investors are
kind of maybe considering gobbling up
one or two more properties right now
it's and that's the staying in your best
customers mindset of like okay where are
they what's going on and in being that
educate or for them and let him know
what does this actually mean on a house
and like you know if you're able to get
a ten thousand dollar discount on one
hundred fifty thousand our house but
you're paying four and a half instead of
three and a half here's what your
monthly it's due and running out those
kinds of scenarios for people because
most people are only catching the
headlines you know a lot more about the
interest rates and what that means and
you obviously know how to use the
financial calculators the amortization
tables and all that so so running like
scenarios for people and like is now the
time to buy it may actually be a
motivating factor for a certain segment
of people who have been like on the
fence that knowing that rates might go
up to five by mid next year may may not
obviously that might be enough to get
them over the fence especially when they
know what that means
monthly that's what most people buy on
is is a monthly right they're buying
that monthly payment can I for the
monthly like obviously we need the doubt
but can I afford that monthly is the big
question for most people so maybe
playing out some of those scenarios
about where is it going what is this
doing to the real estate market I think
people might be interested in that and
that's how you get to be the not only
the trusted advisor but you're kind of
the reporter in some senses on what this
all means because people catch the
headlines they're like oh wow yelling
about this on these crazy yelling
television shows on Fox News and MSNBC
and blah blah blah but what does that
mean for you as an individual and as a
seller and then there's even I guess I'm
getting real creative and real estate
here is you know if interest rates get
up like seven percent you know sellers
who are on a three and a half percent
mortgage might be able to sell on
contract right and get into some weird
kind of like you know through an escrow
company and they're selling for six
percent interest and they're actually
wrapping
the mortgage up in the sale via contract
that's kind of stuff I used to do back
in the day and it works really well but
it's outside of the the real tour box
for sure but it's interesting it's um
something maybe worth considering and
it's just the education people like you
are getting educated but what does that
mean for them and being that interpreter
for them and what it means it's pretty
cool Trista in a small crystal shop
opening your town like a month ago
that's awesome go go support them buy a
little crystal I don't have I got a salt
rock I got some selenite my little
selenite sphere that I dropped in broke
that hangs out with me here and yeah I'm
a huge fan of crystals and rocks and
quartz and I bought a little tiny opal
and bought a big quartz Point and bought
a couple amethyst like geodes big home
cathedrals they go next to a fireplace
and sell a night and all kinds of fun
stuff so anything on Shopify drop
shipping I don't have anything on
Shopify drop shipping I don't like the
margins on drop shipping personally that
said I got a friend who makes very very
very good lifestyle money he does well
over a million dollars a year in revenue
with his drop shipping business but you
know he boasts about his million dollars
a year revenue number and like at least
70 to 80 percent of that is cost of
goods sold and marketing right so like
once you back everything out he's making
a good comfortable living don't get me
wrong but but the margins are consumed
by drop shipping so that's the thing is
like go you know you're able to go meet
the manufacturers or become the
manufacturer one of those successful
people I know who who is in that space
is going to China he's creating his own
products and he's actually running his
own fulfillment and he's doing all of
the legwork but he keeps all of the
margins other than the creation and he's
his business is exploding and with with
really good margins because he's
manufacturing and he's kind of
controlling the entire supply chain drop
shipping is a great way to start to find
a few products that you can kind of own
but then reverse engineering what they
do to build your own products and white
label products and get your own products
in place because that will increase your
margins just like him the infoworld
we can start a funnel that promotes an
affiliate product and eventually we can
go kind of reverse engineer create our
own product to replace that product and
we would end up getting greater kind of
return on the investment we get
margins that way because we would save
50 45 percent roughly well I'm just
going through these I really appreciate
got all kinds of happy people on I'm
stoked to spend some time with you on
Sunday so if you're just joining on the
livestream like questioning ants or I'm
just going through the comments going
through the live chat feel free to enter
any of your questions I'm gonna keep
kind of cranking through these as quick
as I can to get through as many
questions as I can
Jordan banner is starting out with his
business he's doing the arbitrage
business model that's awesome do I think
it would be better to focus on social
media marketing or website design at
first still outsourcing but which is
better to focus on to start with so I
would look more at the needs of your
local clients and generally speaking
most people's websites are not optimized
or built in a fashion to one rank well
and to convert people right so your
local plumber needs a website that's not
only going to show up when somebody goes
and searches for a plumber in their area
but it also needs to be built in a way
to convert right and use the right kind
of copy it needs to write calls to
action it needs the right buttons in the
right places the buttons need to be you
know has to have an action color there's
a lot of little things that need to
happen on the site in order for that
person to take the views that it gets
when people find it and convert them
into phone calls so like if someone has
a website that's that's elegant that's
built correctly and is built in a way
that it is already going to convert for
people then sure adding on traffic which
is what social media marketing actually
is that's traffic but if there's nothing
there that's going to convert you're
gonna spend money they're gonna spend
money you're gonna spend time and energy
on social media marketing and they're
gonna be like yo I'm spending five
hundred bucks a month
over six months and I've got two clients
like what's up with that it's because
their website sucks and doesn't convert
so I would really look into what they're
doing and if you're a traffic guy
working with a website that won't
convert traffic like you're gonna look
bad right so you need to be a an advisor
for them and be like look we can go
straight to social media marketing I'm
really good at this and I can drive
traffic for you but if you don't have an
offer or a website that converts it's
all gonna be for naught and I don't want
to waste your money so let's really
spend some time and dig in to make sure
got an offer that converts on your
website first then once we've got that
dialed in and we test a couple of things
we really get your website out then I'll
work on the social media marketing so
when you invest money in traffic it has
a higher likelihood of converting it's
gonna click with them they're like oh
that sounds great good ball yeah
very smart let's do that so like I don't
know just just really getting
conversations with business owners I
never approached the arbitrage world as
in like I'm gonna go do this for people
I approached it as how are you what are
you doing what's your website on how
much business comes from Google do you
show up on Google when you search what
are your most valuable keyword terms who
runs your website who does your social
media marketing do you have a social
media marketing presence do you ever get
people who say hey I found you out like
I asked so many questions and the owners
will spit it out and then you just
analyze where their biggest gap is and
then you solve that problem and then
there's a next one then you solve that
problem there's a next one you solve
that problem and that's how you become a
you know a trusted advisor for a company
and this is how you can build an
arbitrage business that only needs a
handful of clients because once you
figure out this problem then the next
problem appears you know it's like okay
they're not converting check out the
conversions now they're not getting any
traffic check let's get a content
marketing strategy in place let's get a
social media marketing strategy in place
and then it's like okay well we got this
or what about their customer list can we
mail a greeting card I helped clients I
have a greeting card system I use that
you go online you click click like send
out a greeting card and it gets printed
and fulfilled you can even send gifts
like we took one customer of mine in one
client in Tahoe we took their entire
email list or I mean their actual
physical customer list their mailing
list and input everything I took
pictures of it sent it to people and
some teammates in the Philippines they
input everything into the account and we
sent out thank-you cards to all their
past customers and then we sent out a
coupon to all their past customers bring
in this card and get a coupon get a
blank blank blank on your next massage
it was a massage parlor and then massage
therapists and then they brought in the
cards and they were able to see wow
those cards we sent out spent $300 I got
nine of them come in I made over $2,000
that was good so it's it's really about
being a creative marketing consultant
there's not like we're not trying to
stuff everyone through round peg square
hole style you just want to really kind
of
ask enough questions to understand where
they're at what would be of service to
them and then help them get what would
be of service to them be truly be a
genuine trusted adviser and it takes a
lot of digging and asking a lot of
questions to figure out where is the
biggest the leakage in the funnel where
is the leakage in their business why are
they not getting as many customers as
they want or need from online and then
what you identify it solve that there's
always the next problem and next one
cool speak on the importance of YouTube
in 2018 and beyond like a billion
monthly active users and the amount of
content coming up on YouTube is
incredible like I could click from here
and send this YouTube stream to my TV
right I think more and more people are
watching YouTube on TV YouTube's trying
to pick up like all of the digital
streaming companies are starting to
fight for more market share and you've
seen Facebook even going in with a
Facebook watch
trying to get into the video so when a
company is big as Facebook worth as much
as Facebook is is moving in the
direction of video I think that's a
pretty good indicator that video is one
of the key places in the future or an or
right now so I just think YouTube is
like it owns a space like when you think
like online video everyone thinks
YouTube and it's the second most used
search engine in the world since it's
owned by alphabet you could just say
that Google YouTube is the number one
most used search engine in the world and
it's it's literally like special eun-mee
how to vlogging is huge like there's a
lot of new trends going on in it but I
think that niching out or carving out
our little space on YouTube now and
we've also seen that YouTube's not
making the rules easier right like
they're they're changing the
monetization rules and they're making a
little more difficult a little more
difficult so the sooner you start the
sooner you can kind of get legacy status
in right those so when those most recent
changes came out I was already above the
threshold because I'd already put in the
year and a half of work people who just
started a month ago it hit him harder
they were like oh man YouTube's trying
to make it more difficult for me it's
like now they're really trying to keep
spammers and Annoying channels off to
really keep the the content clean
because they have a challenge with how
much BS content is coming up on their
platform so as they combat those
challenges it can kind of feel like it's
it's negatively impacting you but it is
for a better cause so I think just
getting start
get going again like keep in mind if
you're not comfortable on camera like if
this moment where I've got like my
lights on I got my camera here got my
mic here like if the thought of doing
this regularly scares you maybe you're a
writer and maybe writing is better and
you don't need to have a youtube channel
to have a successful business by any
means 2018 2019 2020 you don't need to
have a YouTube channel to have a
successful business could it enhance a
successful business absolutely
ultimately you do need to have a
wordpress website at some point because
you need to grow your list you need to
have control over landing pages and
potentially pop-ups that's not
negotiable
but like YouTube I think is totally
negotiable I know enough people who make
lots and lots of money got friends down
in New Zealand they made they they had
their first million dollar a year New
Zealand Dollars not US dollars which I I
love teasing them about that but tough
they had their first million they don't
really do YouTube videos at all
and they're absolutely crushing it
because they're focused on what works
with them and how their their mind their
their kind of they just focus on what
works for them and YouTube's not a part
of their game plans so it's not required
but it can absolutely enhance I think
you've seen on this channel I think
sometimes people find my content they're
like oh I have to do that no you don't
like if you're a talker and you're a
gabber you're comfortable with this
process it can help and they got it made
the process of creating content for me
very easy and when it was easy it got
done before for the six years be up to
this I tried blogging and it was
horrible because I saw my wife blog and
I have to blog to be successful because
that's what she did it was that lateral
move for me to get onto a platform that
is in alignment with my DNA that was
really the the trick so I think that's
um what I got on that so FK - hey miles
question about this funnel add to blog
post step to retarget opt-in low dollar
if you're using a five dollar budget
what must the retarget budget be and why
can't you get clicks in your retargeting
campaign alright so we did you brush
that for people a little bit so he's
asking about a two-step marketing
campaign he's got a blog post about a
topic and then he's got an opt-in funnel
about that same topic that enhances this
blog post so step one is add on Facebook
to blog post then they get the
retargeting pixel when they're on the
blog post then when they go back to
Facebook since they have this
retargeting pixel they now see an ad to
opted-in that takes them deeper into the
funnel my first question is what is your
baseline if you went from cold traffic
straight into the funnel I always test
the shortest path to a lead and customer
first so what is your baseline what are
your cost per lead and your cost per
customer when you go cold traffic
straight into your funnel right no those
numbers first because that's what we're
trying to beat when we put together a
two-step content or a two-step kind of
advertising game and then what you do is
you need to add your click cost here on
the first click to the blog post in with
your cost per lead on the retargeting to
come up with your second cost per lead
and cost per customer acquisition so
generally when you're not getting enough
click throughs on the retargeting you
don't have a big enough audience I would
assume your audience is lower than a
thousand and if you think about it the
average user might login once every few
days if you only have a thousand people
on there and they're logging in every
few days there's maybe two or three
hundred people a day showing up if you
get a three percent click-through rate
like that might be three clicks and if
Facebook's looking at you as somebody
who's gonna buy three clicks for nine
cents each they're gonna ignore you and
they're gonna give that traffic to the
next person so it probably is gonna be
in there I would also look at with the
relevant score if you see a relevant
score lower than like seven or seven or
lower that that's generally a sign that
that Facebook thinks that your ad isn't
really relevant to the customer to their
needs to the audience etc so that means
your ad needs work so if you have a big
audience on the retargeting audience but
there's low relevant score that tells
you it's a copy issue if you have a good
relevant score but you just got a small
audience that tells you that you need
more people coming in to the top so dump
a whole lot more traffic in on the top
but again I would test the funnel
directly first to see how that converts
because if you're getting a good cost
per lead and a cost for customer
acquisition straight from cold traffic
to your funnel don't waste your time and
energy managing two separate campaigns
and data like that it's just extra
challenge for yourself that you don't
you might not need to do but you need to
let the numbers guide you in that
decision
can I critique your funnel you created
everything letters sent around 400 bucks
on ads zero sales I can't I don't have
time to create that right now and I
don't have a I might be creating
membership where this could be a service
that I offer but at this point I don't
have the ability to do it so like I'm
what I would be curious with you at this
point is how much would you make per
sale are you going to make for hunt like
what's your price point if you're at a
200 other product or a foreign dollar
product or a thousand dollar product
spending foreign dollars on ads if it's
a five hundred dollar product means
you're not even at break-even yet so it
would tell me that you need to run more
ads are you doing an opt-in first I
would make sure you have tested so an
opt-in first build the list build a
relationship with the list first if
you're not getting leads and opt-ins
that's a quick way to tell like leads
are gonna be less expensive than sales
it's less resistance for people to
opt-in to your list and that's how you
can test to find what your irresistible
offer is right because that's one of the
goals do we want to test our ideas with
as little kind of money as possible and
that is really a way for us to kind of
know that what we're gonna create is
truly valued by our audience enough for
them to pull off their credit card so me
with this channel for example right like
I didn't start by okay miles Bethel our
internet marketer I'm gonna go create a
course on how to do it I'm gonna go
create a funnel around it I'm gonna go
pay for traffic because I'm miles better
right like I started with I've me to
give lots of free videos I'm gonna give
lots of free stuff because I want to
observe what videos get people to click
on what videos do people engage with
what videos do people ignore then I want
to do live streams like this to ask
questions because I'm right now like
full disclosure I'm getting a lot of
data on what your challenges are right
now what everyone's challenges are where
are the sticking points this is my
finger on the pulse of my target market
moment right now takes time and energy
from me but I'm learning I'm observing
what the big challenges are and this is
where I can find that haha every people
really get stuck around this then I
could create a video a product and
opt-in a giveaway so it's all about
really like minimal Minimum Viable
testing is really key and I would so if
you've got this big funnel going
and you run in traffic and you're not
getting any customers how big of a list
have you grown at this point how many
times have you emailed them what kind of
relationship do you have with that list
like how many things have you given to
them have you tried selling a somewhat
relevant affiliate product like there's
there's always lateral moves in there
and you got it like sometimes we got to
use all our lateral moves to get a
little bit of cash flow coming in to
prolong the ability to kind of keep
going but the game of Facebook ads to
offer that converts is tough right like
and it's usually the tough part is not
the Facebook ads that's the easy part
the tough part is creating an offer that
converts riding a really good sales
letter or a really good video sales
letter script is so challenging I even
send an email to my list yesterday
saying that you know we hired one
copywriting team I think there were
$12,000 they were 10 grand but it took
too long and they needed $2,000 $2,500
more so then it became a twelve thousand
five dollar project started out as a
three-month project took them six months
to deliver it and it wasn't even
finished right so I invested over 10 by
$12,000 on just the video sales letter
that I had to go spend two weeks to fix
because they didn't give us what we
wanted so I don't hire copywriters
anymore but like using this cell Reiter
product that I've got the last video
sales letter my wife created took her
over three months to write just the
video sales letter script the slides to
record it to put it all together it was
a three month process we didn't travel
through that so we weren't 100% focused
right in our in our normal environment
but I'm trying to paint a picture of
like we put so much time and energy
towards creating the offer that converts
and then once it was done we sent a
couple emails from our list and it
cashed in big time right because we
already have this list of people who
know like and trust us we've sent a lot
of goodwill out we know that this
product is something that they want we
spent months making sure that it was
communicated effectively in a way that
works with what we know about sales
psychology persuasion and influence to
make sure that it worked for them so
when that happened instant payday but we
had to prolong like we've been working
on our our organic traffic for eight
years we've been working on our email
list growth for seven eight years we've
been working on building all of these
infrastructure pieces for years and
years and years and months and months
and that's why with my ads my ads go to
my email list then we do show them an
offer right after but that's that's just
in hopes to break even I'm just about
getting them on my list so I can build a
relationship with them so I can offer
them other things because if they don't
want this product they might want this
product they might want this product and
it takes me time and energy to send some
different emails you got to give lots of
value in between each so if I want to
test six offers and I'm putting three or
four goodwill jabs in between each of
those hooks that's gonna be a month and
a half of email marketing at a very
rapid pace to test those six different
offers to just see which one works and I
need thousands of subscribers to be able
to really test and know so like zoom now
you're right where you should be I would
just make sure that you're really
focused on generating leads giving value
to those leads building relationship
really truly helping them on their path
whether they bought from you or not and
then once they've had those aha moments
and they've had positive experiences
with your content your teaching they're
much more likely to purchase from you
after that sometimes we get a little
impatient and we're like I want this
this this to work and that's it I'm just
gonna run that and forget about it but
like these are human beings we're
talking about these are real people and
we need to make sure that like I mean
not everybody's in a position right now
so you drop that credit card but maybe
they get paid on the 15th and maybe they
will be on the 15th right and just
because your ad shows on the 4th and
they're like yeah I really want that but
like man I can't I ain't got money for I
won't have money for it till the 15th
man I hear from Rome they all remember
no one ever remembers and that's where
email marketing staying in touch with
them
that's the utility that that serves is
you stay top of mind and you make your
offer every couple of weeks so then you
know when payday does hit or they get
that bonus or things they get less busy
at home or they they finally graduate
college you know they can do what they
love whatever it is for them when the
timings right you're they're still being
friendly still being helpful reminding
them by the way if you want that thing
it's right here you can go grab it so I
hope that helps I really do cool I'm
happy our European friends are stoked on
on the timing on this here
so the Oceania show you're starting your
WordPress and Facebook ads arbitrage
business from scratch you can't afford
the $207 for thrive agency yet how can
you get clients before buying it um use
free themes find a free theme that you
can code learn how to code learn CSS
learn HTML there's free tools out there
there's free code school's code
academies out there and you literally
have to be resourceful if you don't have
the resources to invest in other
people's code to make things easy you
need to go find a free theme and then
learn how to manipulate the code in a
way to create the result that you desire
and then once you sell that you get that
going for people it might take you eight
hours the first few times
whereas thrive themes would be four
clicks but once you've done that and
sold it a few times you can then move
over to thrive themes and speed up and
take on more clients and do more work
but you literally just need to learn how
to make normal themes do what you want
them to do if you can't afford five
themes because there are plenty of free
three free themes out there that you
just need to kind of dig in and it'll
take a little bit more customization a
little more tweaking I started with free
themes no code knowledge at all I did
not know HTML PHP JavaScript CSS still
don't really I can hack my way through
it barely but I just use Google and
YouTube and I learn when I got something
I want to do something different
I've learned how to look into the code
through the inspect tool and like all
those like how do I find what needs to
be changed where do I go to change it
how do I do a child theme you'll learn
all those things so it's about
resourcefulness in that situation Tony
what's up
what recording software do I use that
moves my camera around so I used
something called screencast-o-matic it's
like a 15-dollar tool and it is it's
awesome it's also how I do all the
blurring on things and yeah so I use
screencast-o-matic it records my desktop
and me and then in post-production I can
move it around I could change the size
of things etc screencast-o-matic it's
really cool
I'll Wayne my blog page is miles Beckler
com question you have a hard time doing
log videos that's cool do do I think
it's ok to do videos there are 10-15
minutes absolutely Shane yeah you have 5
minutes like whatever you can do and
it's more about giving your audience
what they want and need than anything
right like I'm not here today to hit a
specific time number I'm not here to
like I'm just I've got time this morning
I didn't do a Friday video because I was
at that trade show I was trying to do
something I actually tried to record one
there and it just it didn't turn out
