today I'm gonna play hooky so it is
early October I think it's been 9 today
and it's supposed to be like 81 degrees
it's supposed to snow it's supposed to
be like a high temperature of I don't
know like 30 or 20 I don't know
something much colder I don't have any
meetings today so I'm gonna drive to ask
this part I'm gonna drive as far as I
can into the Rocky Mountain National
Park
I believe the road is gonna be open
until 6 p.m. today so let's get on the
road make sure we got plenty of water
here bowl for Georgie Georgie is very
excited to go I'm gonna bring a
flashlight too if I get stuck out there
I think I'm pretty much screwed but a
flashlight may be helpful just in case
it is the morning right now but I mean
weather changes I'm gonna be at 12,000
feet there's not going to be many people
up there and I don't know how much snow
they're gonna get up there but it'll
probably be a lot so bring a flashlight
and a little snack here so let's get
moving
hey what's going on I decided to play
hooky today and I drove up Trail Ridge
Road so we're up here near the Alpine
Visitors Centre and this is an
interesting day because they are closing
tonight in fact it's like pretty warm up
here I don't know the temperature to be
honest with you but they're supposed to
get like eight inches of snow it's
absolutely beautiful right now and down
in Longmont it's like 81 and it's
supposed to snow down there as well and
the super cool thing is I used to work
this was my view here it was it's so
windy actually it stopped for a second
but I had to take off my hat because
it'll blow off
it feels pretty cold up here but it's
very clear so let's check it out this is
the forest Canyon

it's pretty cool I could just drive up
here in a couple hours to get to the top
and kind of in the middle of nowhere
I got no cell phone signal nothing like
that and it's like wilderness I mean you
can see Ridge over here and that's why
they call it Trail Ridge Road that's the
ridge usually I mean there's more snow
there most of the time there'll be a lot
more snow there tomorrow again like
eight inches of snow is supposed to be
on the way but you could see you have
this Ridge
