Saturday December 16th LIVE Question And Answer Session With Miles Beckler

and in this live video I'm gonna be
doing a question and answer session so
I'm gonna be answering your questions
I've got a few questions from Facebook
and other social media outlets already
so we're gonna jump right into this
question and answer about funnels
marketing affiliate marketing anything
you got I'm happy to answer it for you
I'm gonna dedicate probably 45 minutes
to an hour right now to this question
and answer session and I just first
before I jump in I'd like to take about
a minute if I may to quickly see if you
can hear me if you can see me clearly if
the stream is working if so give me a
yes and let me know where you are tuning
in from while I go just triple check
that this is working here looks and
sounds good to me I'm getting some
comments we got people coming on here at
this point I'm pretty excited to be here
with you thanks for being here
we're right around the holidays time and
perfect j-john gotcha

man the questions are starting so
Houston Texas in the house awesome we

late for you over in England happy to
have you from across the pond mate
Cheers appreciate that
so everything sounded good Los Angeles
in the house we've got dozens of people
on coming in from all over the world at
this point which is very exciting very
fun if you have a question for me if
you've got a question about internet
marketing affiliate marketing funnels
pay-per-click Facebook pay-per-click go
ahead and type out your question and put
it in the chat box here on YouTube I
will be going through those questions in
the chat box on YouTube I'm already saw
one pop up there so you you were early
to the live stream so if you got a
question get it in early we're growing
in the number of viewers welcome
everyone I'm gonna jump over to grab a
couple of questions that I received
elsewhere so um
one question I received that I thought
was fun because it's timely is miles do
you make a plan for your year before the
year start
if so what are your methods to say
organized and on time
now I actually don't make super clear
plans I like to hold intentions and I've
got an exercise that I've done that is
my it's like my lifestyle design
exercise I try to focus more on what
does my perfect day look and feel like
to me and I attempt to allow the how is
that going to manifest in my life I
attempt to allow that to appear so some
people are all about planning they plan
every month they plan their editorial
calendar their content calendar they
plan out everything and for the right
kind of person and the right kind of
mindset that that works really well so
do what works for you but for me I love
the freedom and the ability to adapt to
pivot I know where I'm going like for
this year my plan is scaled down to a
weekly plan right like I need to email
four to five times per week every single
week I need to get at least two blog
posts published to my blog every single
week and I need to do my three videos
per week every single week I may
increase the frequency of any of those I
may tweak those a little bit but
honestly next year is really the same
thing I've been doing it's that marathon
runners pace mentality so it's not like
okay 2018 s here something new something
special I need to like do different
things it's much more the idea of okay
cool do the same thing just keep going I
know everyone's gonna have this kind of
resolution mindset come January 1st
there's gonna be a different mindset
their probably be more new entrepreneurs
in the space new people wanting to learn
how to make money online so I might
speak to them a little bit write my
content might shift but really I don't
do much planning at all
second question I've got I'm launching
an affiliate program and I know you're
great with affiliate programs thank you
in your opinion what are the best
methods for successful affiliate
programs so I built a in a previous life
I built an affiliate program for a
company that didn't have one it was an
internet company I ran their customer
support and I ended up helping them
build and grow an affiliate program we
grew that to over $250,000 revenue in
the first year and that business only
did like 1.2 1.5 million a year so
it quickly became something to the tune
of 20 percent of their revenue roughly
within the first year of it launching
and and since I've left they've been
able to manage that and keep the the
income and the revenue going so the
first thing you need to run a successful
affiliate program is you have to have an
offer that converts so think about your
affiliates for a moment if I am going to
mail your offer you pretty much got one
chance right I'm gonna send it out if I
get zero conversions or one conversion
from my entire list if it's not worth my
time
I'm never gonna mail for you again
that's just kind of like cold hard truth
of affiliate marketing right so honor
the fact that if you get other marketers
to mail or promote your product it needs
to convert so the first thing to do is
make sure you've got an offer that
converts and you need you all the
testing the conversion optimization and
the split testing all on your own with
paid traffic and you need to prove that
you can personally convert cold traffic
from there it's all about relationship
building there's no affiliate network
that when you you don't put it on
Clickbank and all you're done that's
barely even the beginning that's that's
simply a tracking software you need to
actually forge relationships with
content creators who have your audience
and it is an incredibly difficult task
so that was what I did when I say I
built that affiliate program to two
hundred fifty thousand dollars per month
I spent day in and day out going looking
for people who had our best target
audience reaching out to them with
emails figuring out how I can be of
service to them seeing if they want to
do a review post seeing if they want
samples of our products and essentially
really just trying to cultivate those
relationships because affiliate
marketing is all about relationships and
so you need to have an offer that
converts and then you need to go build
relationships or leverage the
relationships you've already built with
people who have your audience from there
generally they're gonna have an idea of
how to promote you right like when I run
an affiliate promotion like yeah they're
like oh here's your email swipe copy
nobody ever tests that like I don't
trust that at all I go out and create
all of my own content essentially and
I'm the one who's just kind of mainly I
tell a story in my own terms in my
autoresponder of my videos that paint
the picture of why that things
necessary and how that's gonna be
helpful so as far as like the resources
sure you might want some banner ads but
nobody clicks banner ads right like use
what worked for you share that with them
but ultimately go cultivate
relationships with people who have your
audience already and make sure you've
got good tracking and make sure you've
got an offer that converts and that is
huge
so the next question I've got is about
the repeal of net neutrality do I think
this is going to affect internet
marketers so if you're in the US you
know about it in probably worldwide you
probably know about it something that
Obama put and I'm not I'm not super
educated on on exactly what went down
but something that Obama put in place
has been repealed and now the
corporations that kind of own the
connectivity of the internet from US
users like comcast Cable or like Verizon
Wireless they might be able to tear or
kind of charge us more for the same
thing we've been having as an open
Internet I have no fears about this at
all I'm not concerned about net
neutrality in any way shape or form one
aspect of being an entrepreneur is
adaptability being able to adapt to
whatever comes and I'm confident that no
matter what happens if anything happens
right so we don't even know what will
happen there's just a bunch of fear
around this if anything happens I'm not
too concerned about it and I know that
if I'm seeing my traffic dropping or
there's a challenge for me in connecting
with you I'm sure that a if I've given
you enough value you're gonna figure out
what needs to be done on your end to
find me and be that's why I've always
been focused on building my email list
because I don't think anyone if if there
was like a tiered system where we had to
pay tiers like no one's gonna not choose
the tier that has their email right like
everyone's gonna pay for their email
level because we all use email as a mode
of conversation and a mode of
communication now so I would just you
know same thing right YouTube videos
blog posts and email like I just I don't
know if it'll affect me if it does I'll
adapt but I just don't have any fear
about it one of the interesting things
is if it does affect a lot of mental
Millennials and younger individuals who
kind of grew up with the Internet
I mean November in the US which is when
everyone gets to vote again that's only
11 months away
they might be pissed
a big group of people who don't normally
vote who would potentially go vote so
long term I'm not concerned and short
term I'm not concerned this is why
adapting and kind of playing the
adaptability game is is really what I'm
all about and that's what I've always
been about is just entrepreneurship is
constant adapting and that that's really
the game and that that's what we all
have to do that's why I did the digital
Nomad lifestyle for four years because
it just always adapting whether you're
in Costa Rica or Thailand to
internet or this that the other it's all
it's all been a part of the game so now
I'm done with the other questions and
I'm gonna jump over into the YouTube
questions we got Montreal Canada turkey
Tasmania Australia what's up I hope it's
nice and warm for you down in Tasmania
it's summertime you probably get a
little bit of wind and some cool storms
I think that's awesome
Phil Garmin what are my thoughts on
second tier affiliate links so a two
tier affiliate programs interesting but
you you rarely get a lot of payout on
that second tier you're getting down
towards that step of getting kind of
close to network marketing multi-level
marketing but you're not all the way
there I think it can work right if I
teach you I prefer to get the first tier
of commissions because it's always much
larger so on like the the hosting that I
promote like I do get a second tier but
the second tier is only like five
dollars per sale so like for that to
move the needle in my business I'd have
to have you know hundreds and hundreds
and hundreds of $5 like a thousand plus
you know two thousand monthly sales from
second-tier affiliate and it's like I'm
never gonna build infrastructure or like
train other affiliates to go after that
I'm simply recommending what works for
me if there happens to be a second tier
and so he gets involved it's just like
icing on the cake so it's not something
I go out of my way to search for it's
not something that I think adds a lot of
value to me it's something that if it's
in place and it's something I it could
add a little extra benefit but it's not
necessarily something I'm excited about
or go out of my way for by any means I
hope that answered your question so or
Mo's you're gonna build an affiliate
website great what are the must-haves
for that kind of website you don't want
a specific niche
um so WordPress with thrive themes
that's it and then it's a lot of content
do the 90 day challenge 90 blog posts or
90 videos in 90 days get your voice down
figure out how the easiest way for you
to create content is because a
successful affiliate website is all
about content lots and lots and lots of
content over sustained periods of time
and that's how you can build an
affiliate program or affiliate business
and that can even go into like
information products and so many more
things so oh that's awesome there's
another one how will net neutrality
changes affect SEO and SEM so I kind of
touched on that and yeah like I just
everyone uses Google right so if my ISP
my internet service provider was like
miles you need to pay five bucks a month
to get Google I pay it I wouldn't even
think twice if my phone provider right I
actually use Google Phi as my phone
provider so that would be kind of ironic
but like if a phone provider was like
yeah we're not gonna give you Google
anymore
you have to pay us more for Google
everyone's gonna use Google and my
website my hosting right I show up on
Google that's where I get my organic
search engine traffic from and it's just
it's it doesn't seem like it's going to
get affected so I'm again I'm I'm not
really concerned I think it's um I think
it's interesting I think it's kind of uh
potentially gonna have some ripple
effects that I started to talk about
that are gonna be really intriguing to
follow over the next year or two years
so Phil gaining can I promote directly
to an affiliate product and still make
tons of money um not really so you
really gotta build a list Phil like if
you're trying to direct link people to
an affiliate offer you're setting
yourself up for failure and you might
make short-term money but you're not
gonna make long-term money and
everything I'm about I'm trying to help
you build like a business that you can
do like you have a mortgage on you could
pay your 401k zhan you could build a
real actual lifestyle on it starts with
a side hustle but it grows into a real
actual business that will take care of
you that's my ultimate goal and so when
I started making money online I was
direct linking people from MySpace over
to an affiliate program and I was making
money short term but at one point they
changed their Terms of Service they
banned my links and instantly overnight
3 grand a month of income just dried up
and it just
it just went flat and I had nothing to
fall back on so the appropriate way to
make money as an affiliate and when I
say appropriate I mean that's gonna
create a lifestyle business you can rely
on you could pay bills on you could pay
down debt with you could buy a house
with etc you need to number one go be of
service to an audience so that's either
blogging or YouTube videos or podcasting
whichever is easiest and most kind of
natural for you number two build an
email list offer those people something
that's gonna be helpful in exchange for
the email address to help them solve
their problems once you've done that you
start emailing them more and you just
you continue to give value and then you
figure out what are those things that
they're already buying what are those
problems that they're ready to invest in
solving and then simply recommend the
products that they already actually want
and when you get it dialed that way
things really start to work and take off
and that's to me the right way to do it
there VIN Hennessy what I see on YouTube
about Facebook pixel is differently from
what I actually see on the Facebook
dashboard you need help placing a pixel
on your website cool so all you need to
do is go in and get your pixel code from
inside of your ad manager right so if
you go to your ad manager you click on
the three little bars I believe it's in
the very top left it'll drop down and
then you'll see where it says pixel
generate your pixel code there's a
little switch that says give up let us
do advanced tracking turn that on take
that code and then you have to go insert
it inside of the head area on your
website now here's the thing I don't
know what website system you're using
I'm probably not using the one you're
using unless you're on a two hosting
with thrive themes you just go into
thrive themes in the theme options and
it says enter your tracking code here so
if you're on Shopify everything has
every system that you would plug into
has some sort of like enter your
tracking code here spot and you just go
pop it in there and then you're all set
up and that's it it's gonna be working
from there John Green where do I get the
ideas for these videos so I take the
perspective that I'm teaching a really
good friend of mine how to go from like
you know working a desk job that they
don't really love and their hearts not
in to finding an intersection between
their passion and making money online
and then how to start
money on the side and then scale that
into a real business so I'm just always
thinking like okay what would they need
to know next I pay attention to the
comments I get in my facebook or excuse
me the comments I get here on YouTube I
pay attention to conversations on
Facebook in facebook groups and just on
the time lines I'm connected with a
bunch of internet marketers I pay
attention to the questions that people
have a lot
Quorra qu o ra is a question-and-answer
website and go type in any sort of
questions there forums
going into forums looking at the hottest
topics on forums you really get a sense
of the questions that people have and
then just kind of looking around at the
the broader sense on on YouTube and what
other people are talking about I get a
lot of recommended videos but that's it
I'm just trying to think of like okay if
a good buddy of mine is going down this
path that I can help them with cuz I've
been making money since 2003 right I got
15 years ish experience in this like how
would I help them what videos would I
put out and that that's just what I do
to keep going I do have a video and a
blog post that's called like unlimited
content marketing ideas and I got 5 tip
5 ways to go find them but I think I
covered it all it's like Facebook groups
for forums there's one other one that's
about it so that that's kind of the game
it just and just kind of thinking like
really I'm just trying to be of service
to someone I know and care about and
that's my goal is to see how I can
actually help them what is a good
subscription affiliate program to sign
up to probably none of them if
somebody's trying to claim they're gonna
teach you how to do affiliate marketing
and you just need to pay them money you
know like the there's wealthy affiliate
is complete rubbish it's just like oh do
what I do and make money like that
doesn't work there's like Clickbank
University that sucked I went through
that affiliate wrong none of them work
like it's it's super simple I'm gonna
break it down to you right like find an
audience you can be of service to go
create content to attract them and
connect with them just like I'm doing
now have a free offer if you'd like to
see my free offer go to Myles Beckler
com forward slash millions that will be
a free course I created in exchange for
your email address and then follow up
via email build a relationship and
eventually when the times were
you've given enough value offer them
something that's gonna help them go to
the next level
I think that authority hacker is the
closest but they're closed right now
they have a smaller if you to my site
miles baccarat column click on
recommended courses you'll find a link
to their kind of starter version but
that authority hacker Pro is the closest
thing that that I've found so night out
we are rocking I like this you guys are
I appreciate the comment the questions
coming in I'm just gonna keep kind of
going through these so night-owl what is
the best shopping cart and plugin for a
single product sales funnel in thrive
themes you get the landing page you're
struggling to implement the one-click
upsells so member Mouse is one option
that's a monthly option that will be I
think 20 29 bucks a month and that will
give you everything you need to be able
to run the check out and to do one-click
upsells as well and then another option
would be to do something like thrive
cart and thrive card as a stand-alone
system that actually works outside so
they would click on your Buy Now button
and they would go to a thrive cart
domain that's like your subdomain dot
thrive cart comm and then you could
purchase and then you manage it all on
that shopping cart that's a one-time
purchase I think it's like five or six
hundred dollars their homepage is gonna
say it's closed but it's on my
recommended tools pages because I've got
like kind of all all your access to it
that I can offer you as an affiliate it
is an affiliate link there the third one
is Sam cart Sam cart is what I use for
my one-off products its $97 a month so
it's a little expensive but you can
split test your checkout pages you could
run an affiliate program with it there's
a lot that you can do with it and it's
really easy to customize so those are
the three I think member Mouse is the
cheapest to get going you might want to
check out the East or plugin tips and
tricks - HQ comm they have an eStore
plugin it's super simple I've got a link
to it on on my DIY sales funnel video
series and you can kind of take a look
at that because they might have a
one-click upsell but they might not I'm
not sure if they have that one-click
upsell functionality
where to get the cheapest cost-per-click
from honestly it's not about cheap
cost-per-click it's about quality of
traffic you want to make sure you're
getting in front of the right people the
only paid advertising I do is on
Facebook that's it
Taz what's up good to see here Slater
documented what's up man so you went
through the marketing arbitrage course
what kind of customers are looking for
WordPress site creation these days and
where do you find them man like every
business in your local town needs that
service two questions number one do they
have something yet number two do they
realize that they need that service and
once you know the answers to those two
questions everything kind of becomes
easy so the way I approached it I was in
a ski town I was in on the north shore
of Lake Tahoe playing the snowboard bum
game for a few years and there's not
that many small businesses I would visit
their web sites I would right click view
source and I would search for WordPress
I would see if they're on WordPress most
of them aren't anyone who's not on
WordPress is at a disadvantage in the
search engines then I would go kind of
view tiny tiny tiny bit of keyword
research for them to see like are people
searching for what they have and i'ma go
meet him I would I was in a lot of these
shops I would just talk to the owners
and I would just ask them where did they
get most air traffic do they lock you
from the web's from the internet how
does their website work who updates
their website all those kinds of
questions generally in those kinds of
questions about how much traffic do you
get how many calls per month do you get
from your website at some point the
business owner would be like I really
don't know like I'm not doing enough
online I know I need it and then the
most common thing I would hear is like
oh I paid my my little nephew you know I
give him five hundred bucks to lend me a
website that was three years ago he
started it he never finished it and that
is so common and then I would say you
know hey I do this kind of stuff on the
side I'd be happy to help you with it my
wife and I have a wordpress website
that's generating X visits per month
they'd be like oh my gosh that's amazing
and it became kind of easy so now
naturally I ask I connect with business
owners I'm always asking questions any
time even now still to this day when I
go no Xiaomei is this your shop oh cool
how long you guys been open here that uh
how much track do you guys have a
website how much shut like it's just
natural I'm naturally curious so you
need to kind of have that
natural natural curiosity approach to to
communicating with them right like it
really is about asking enough questions
and asking the right questions that are
gonna get them to realize that they need
help when they have that aha moment on
them on their own and then like whoa
could you help with that you're like
yeah I'd be willing to help that boom
it's done the sale happened but you got
to get them there and you do that
through asking them kind of questions
kind of leading questions if you will
but not necessarily leading like I was
just curious about their business and
what they did if you don't have any
websites that you're working on now like
who do you know personally photographer
I got like cousin she's she started like
a wedding photography business I did her
website for free for a testimonial and
she bought hosting through an affiliate
so I made like a hundred bucks I built
her website in like three hours just to
have a portfolio site I did a couple of
super free super cheap sites as a
portfolio site and then when I was
marketing it I was marketing myself at
like 25 bucks an hour right like for for
web help I was three and a half hours
from San Francisco Bay Area up in Lake
Tahoe like that's cheap man I was I was
so inexpensive that that it was an easy
yes for them and then what I did is I I
I would 25 an hour and I go outsource it
for five to eight dollars an hour might
be ten ish these days for that same kind
of service I'm making about 15 bucks in
between and just that way I could I
could stack on clients and what happens
once you help a few clients and help a
few business owners they all know each
other so other options other ideas for
you would be to start a meetup group do
a local internet marketing meetup group
or you start to teach little bits about
internet marketing every week go to your
local Chamber of Commerce find out if
there's any BNI groups business
networking international there's any BNI
groups in your area go visit those as a
internet marketing or a digital
marketing specialist and just just get
out there and really start to have
conversations with people ask a lot of
questions I would recommend you don't go
into these kinds of situations pitching
what you're doing I would recommend
going in asking questions and being
willing to sit down with people if they
buy you a cup of coffee to sit down and
have a conversation and look over the
keywords and look over their website and
make suggestions a lot of times I found
that I was making suggestions for
clients up
clients and I'd make so many suggestions
they're like oh my gosh I need all that
done they kind of like gloss over on
their eyes and then they would end up
hiring me to do the work for them
because it just became really clear that
it had to get done and they don't have
the time or the bandwidth to do it and I
was guy to do it because if you could
help them identify the problem clearly
they think that you can be the one who
can actually solve that problem for them
so go into the next one Kevin Lee what's
up you're a photographer and you've
created some digital products for that
niche awesome where did that go sorry my
screen jumps every once in a while here
there it is your photographer you have
some digital products for that niche do
you think that's a good niche to get
into yeah absolutely how would it target
that with Facebook Ads oh man there's so
many ways I know so one one group of
people I know I'm doing a mastermind
with them in Budapest in about three
months in March I'm gonna meet up with
them so one group is doing iPhone
photography only and they're doing about
a million million plus a year they spend
like 10,000 a month in Facebook Ads and
then another one does just photography
like more like digital SLR photography
and he's got a membership program and
he's doing over a million dollars a year
so I physically know people who have
hung out with and and like I actually
know these people this aren't like I
heard of a guy on the interwebs who does
it I've actually like met and hung out
with these people and I'm gonna go
mastermind with them and the authority
hacker guys so yeah it's a great niche
how do you target them like hey you got
to do a lot of testing right there's no
one thing but if someone likes Canon or
Nikon or nikkor lenses or if someone you
know they're like photography magazines
there's so many ways you can target them
but which one of those are gonna deliver
you leads and customers within your KPIs
that's the big question and I know so
like I just mentioned those guys spend
like 10 grand a month on Facebook Ads
like they started by spending very very
small amounts and testing and tweaking
and testing and tweaking and testing and
tweaking adding more money when it was
working testing and tweaking like it's
you know it's like a three year process
of fiddling with Facebook Ads most of
which was inefficient and cashflow
negative to find the one thing that
works and then just triple quadruple
down on that one thing
works in scale scale scale scale scale
so like my honest answer is yes it's a
great idea how to target them there's a
lot you'll have to figure out through
trial and error and just go forth and
spend three years figuring it out
because the potential in the possibility
is there and it might be a long
challenging interesting three years but
at the end of it you might find that one
add that one offer that one lead that
one OTO that works and you might be able
to scale that thing and and generate
money like it's the thing to do that's
how it works so you gotta be willing to
shovel the the pile of manure to get
there and that that's kind of sounds
like where you're at so rubble Holliday
yeah on the net neutrality right we
didn't have it until 2015 nothing really
happening it went one way and then it
kind of flipped back so sir mellow if
you make a mega post on a broad main
topic like music production should you
optimize the keyword for the main topic
or should you try all the keywords that
you can find for the subtopics too so I
would make if you're doing like an
ultimate guide to music production like
first of all I feel like that's almost
too abstract like music production for
whom and I would do more keyword
research is it for home studios
professionals for rappers for for rock
musicians for country music and if
you're like oh it's for everyone it's
like all is it a digital audio
workstation are you recording
acoustic like if you can get more
specific get more specific but if you
can't if you're like no no it's just
it's the ultimate guide to music
production and it's 23 thousand words
great right your ultimate guide and make
that your post towards ultimate guide
for music production but then you're
gonna need to create all of the sub
posts that I just talked about like the
ultimate guide for digital audio
workstation music production that will
need to be its own mega post and it will
link back to your ultimate guide for
music production then your ultimate
guide for country music production you
make that post and then that will link
back to your ultimate guide for right so
if you're not going niche first you're
going super broad first great put that
up do the best you can then you need to
support it with tons of niche content or
you start by creating all the little
niche content pieces first and you
eventually you make one gigantic
ultimate guide results if you go with
the easier longer tail ones first you
might start getting traffic more quickly
but if you've already got this one done
great publish it now get on to those
smaller sub ones and let the keywords
guide you on what keywords what other
keywords around so go in to watch my
keyword research video if you haven't
already I believe you have just go type
music production inside of that tool and
see what comes up and go find those
longer tail keyword phrases and go after
those and so it's not like either or
it's not like you make one post on like
this broad topic and then you're done
it's like cool you did that awesome then
tomorrow make one on this and the day
after make one on this and 90 days make
90 and if you make 300 posts in your
first year and each one of them being
like the best posts in the world you
have a chance at driving a lot of
traffic in your first year it takes you
three years to make 300 posts that are
like the best posts in the world great
at the end of three years you got a
chance to build and drive a lot of
traffic so it's just how long is it
gonna take you there's no like oh I did
my one ounce with God and I'm done like
now then the goal is next next next
ultimate guides best content in the
world that that's really how it works so
it's it's you have these subtopics in
right so if you're doing music
production like you'll talk about
digital audio workstation in it you
don't have to do the ultimate guide to
the digital audio workstation then but
but you will do that later and then when
you do you can link that there and you
can link that there and create your own
little web but that's that's kind of how
to go about it really hey miles are
there any free alternatives to keyword
finder and semrush no there's not
so semrush you can you know if you got
different credit card numbers you could
sign up for monthly trials but there's
no alternative keyword finder I did the
end of last year I did a like 15
different keyword research tools
I tested 15 of them and keyword finder
is by far the most helpful and it's the
only one I used at this point Jay
Burnham nothing changed in the two years
that net neutrality was implemented so
SEO the same then as it is now yeah I
think it's a big nothing burger really I
think it's it's just mass media man they
need that they need to be thrown out
that fear to keep us
what happened did the vote go through oh
I don't know and then you watch TV but
why are you watching TV well they just
want to sell your advertisement right
they're just there it's literally for
them to make advertisement so they gotta
make it sound scary so you keep tuning
in Tyrese what's up Tyrese what is my
plan about reaching generation Z I am
generation Z I think when they don't use
much email and only apps maybe I'm not
generation Z who's Generation Z so eh I
have apps right like my wife and I have
six apps eight apps
thanks seven in one store and eight in
the other we're one shy like we just got
tired of building apps but we've got
meditation apps we got Angel card
reading apps we got all our apps so
we're connecting with people on the app
star so my answer to that is connect
people on the app store
but like you don't have to prioritize
that we only started doing that once we
were working this business for like four
or five years straight another thing is
Kindle books like everybody reads books
and like so who is this generation Zia
you speak of and do they spend money on
things cuz they don't spend money I
really don't care about connecting with
them right like I like selling the baby
boomers baby boomers have a bunch of
fake wealth right they've got 401ks they
may work they're 30 years they've got
their retirements they've got Social
Security they got all this stuff they
got money they and they want to spend
right now they're at these they're their
golden years and they want to spend
their money and enjoy their lives
perfect that's who I want to target
personally but that said like if you
have a product that's perfect for
Generation Z I don't know they're
probably on Instagram right like if
Generation Z's younger Instagram
snapchat like just find out what
platforms are on and just go beyond
those platforms because like Facebook's
an app I don't own Facebook I didn't
create Facebook but I connect with a lot
of people through Facebook we have nine
hundred and fifteen thousand fans on our
Facebook fan page right
I run ads on Facebook we're growing to
Instagram audiences my wife's got
forty-two thousand followers on
Instagram so so just just go where
they're at and create great useful
content and put in the work that
hand-to-hand combat that day-in day-out
work of connecting with them and and
build the audience
it grows one one step at a time it's a
lot of work but it works
Slater documented also things get
catastrophic with a net neutrality thing
that means there's a gap in the market
and someone else will start up an ISP
you know
destroy everyone else absolutely right
like challenges create opportunities or
there will be a like a neighborhood
Network kind of thing like motherboard
vice did a like a documentary on the
people I think it was in Detroit who are
creating their own internet to help
people in in some of these kind of like
Internet starved communities in the
poorer communities all kinds of crazy
things comes out of crazy things right
like if you look at what came out of the
global financial crisis of 2008 2009
Bitcoin is what came out of that right
like literally the white paper for
Bitcoin was published I think was the
end of oh wait and I think they actually
turned on the first server and they
mined the first block in like early 2009
it could be oh nine - oh 10 or - 10 so I
don't quote me on the dates I'm not like
specifically going after it but it was
literally out of the wake of the global
financial crisis of banks over
leveraging banks essentially collapsing
themselves and then getting bailed out
by tax payers and then giving themselves
gigantic bonuses still right like that
creates really frustrated people and out
of that comes this whole cryptocurrency
revolution so out of these challenging
situations comes new technologies new
way of doing things new ideas where
Bitcoin cryptocurrencies are going
doesn't matter like I don't even care
like it could if it goes to zero it
doesn't all that's been proven is
something emergent came out of that dark
place and to me that's like the worst
case scenario which almost kind of has a
silver lining that's really kind of
interesting Auto mows if you have two
different lists with different niches
and interests can you mix them and
promote I wouldn't so can you mix your
two lists and promote one thing to the
others like sure you can you can do
whatever you want but like the moment
you start hitting your list with offers
that make no sense to them into what
they opted in for that's the moment they
click the unsubscribe button that's the
moment you lose trust and if you lose
trust it's game over at that point in
time so if you've gone forward you've
built a gardening niche and a
fisherman's niche and you got people
like fisherman's and you've got people
who like gardening send gardening emails
