so in this video I'm gonna break down
everything that you need to know when it
comes to affiliate marketing we're gonna
talk about some of the best products
they can promote how you can do this for
absolutely free and you know I think
affiliate marketing it kind of gets a
bad rap and the reason for this is
because it seems as though every time I
watch a video about affiliate marketing
or I read a blog post about it it seems
crap about how to do this and they try
to sell me like their thousand dollar
online course that shows you how to do a
philia marketing guys look the truth is
you don't have to spend any money
learning how to do this you can do it
for totally free I never paid a single
penny and we're doing over five thousand
dollars a month in affiliate revenues on
my primary channel I'm doing a couple
thousand dollars a month on this channel
just from affiliate revenues totally for
free okay so I'm gonna show you how to
do this for free we'll talk about some
paid options for getting paid traffic
but this is gonna be hopefully a pretty
in-depth video to give you the basics of
understanding how affiliate marketing
works how you can get started with it
the best product some different
affiliate networks and hopefully we can
just clear up all the questions that you
have but this is truly something that
can change your life and I I'm saying
that with a lot of truth to it because
you know this is something that I'll
find myself waking up in the morning and
I might have made a few hundred dollars
from last night and that's not to brag
but that's to show you how possible this
is because you know just a few years ago
I had no money I was in college I had
nothing okay and it builds up over time
and like I said I don't charge anything
I don't like I have nothing to sell you
I really have nothing to sell to you
this is all just free information so the
only thing I ask is that you subscribe
to the channel and you drop a like on
this video if you find any value in it
alright so first of all let's clarify
how affiliate marketing actually works
because whenever I tell people what I do
and how I do it a lot of people just get
confused or they think of it as
something different and so essentially
the way that this works the simplest way
to break this down is that affiliate
marketing you are promoting a product
for a company or a brand and for
promoting that company you get a piece
of the revenue or a piece of the sale
that you help them make so for example
one of the most common affiliate
networks in the world is actually Amazon
Associates so Amazon affiliate program
okay so every time that I bring people
to amazon.com
I am going to get a commission or a
piece of the pie when somebody buys
something off of Amazon so if you go
down into this the description in this
video right now you'll see I'll have
some links for my camera that I use for
the lights that are used for the
microphone that I use to make these
videos and if you click on any one of
those links and then you buy something
anything at all on Amazon in the next 24
hours I will get a piece of the pie so I
will get like 40 dollars every time you
buy this camera that I'm filming with
right now if you click on that link and
that is essentially how affiliate
marketing works so I'm driving traffic
to Amazon or I'm driving traffic to a
company to their website and in return
they're giving me some money essentially
it's like a finder's fee for bringing
that person to that company helping them
get the sale that's how affiliate
marketing works or at least that's the
basics of it and I have a personal link
and you can do this too it's free to
sign up a personal link that is just for
me so these links are just my links and
there's things called cookies or at
least what they used to do cookies we
have cookie list trackers now we're not
going to get too in-depth on that but
essentially it will track that you
clicked on that link and then for
potentially the next 24 hours sometimes
these these cookies will last 30 days 60
days 90 days so sometimes there are
affiliate programs where if you click on
a link in the description below say for
nord VPN right I'll put a link for that
just you can see what I mean if you
click on that and then two or three
months later you decide to buy it or pay
for that VPN service I can still get
money for bringing that person there
even though it's months later and they
don't remember that they clicked on my
link months later they go to the website
and I can get money as an affiliate
Commission for bringing you to that site
so it's honestly a really cool thing to
do and like I said look you don't have
to pay money to learn how to do this a
lot of this trial and error and just
starting to get traffic but the thing
people ask me a lot is how do I get
traffic how do I get people to click on
this link the whole goal of affiliate
marketing is to get people to click on
your link ok and so there's two
different routes we can go we can go
with the paid search or or the paid
traffic route or we can go for the free
traffic route now I always go for the
free traffic route I've been doing this
for a few years like I said but I used
to do some paid traffic and
what I mean by this is that if if you're
trying to get people to click on your
link by buying ads for example buying
ads on Google buying ads on being
Facebook whatever it is this it can work
but it's not something that I suggest
for people trying to do first of all
it's gonna cost you more money and it's
gonna cost you a lot of money in terms
of running ads figuring out what works
what doesn't work with affiliate
marketing on Google or Bing ads or
Facebook ads whatever it is okay so I
would suggest going the free traffic
option where you're essentially building
some type of influence now this doesn't
mean that you actually have to make
youtube videos like what I do most of
our affiliate money does come from
YouTube from this channel from my
primary channel but you can do a number
of other things okay so you don't so
just making YouTube videos I have a lot
of friends who have blogs and they're
pulling in millions of dollars per month
I kid you not millions of dollars per
month on their blog by embedding links
into their blog post so people are
reading their their blog post and
there's like a hyperlink thing there
most of those links and blogs are
affiliate links okay so that's an option
but also even on something like
Instagram you can build a niche page
about puppies on Instagram and then in
the description
you put an affiliate link to Amazon or
to some dog treats and every time
somebody buys something that you're
gonna get a piece of the pie for it so
that's affiliate marketing okay that's
how it works and that's one of the
easiest ways to do just build influence
somewhere and then get traffic there so
whether YouTube blog Instagram find some
ways to get free traffic build a
Facebook group
I love the strategy build a Facebook
group and then if you own the Facebook
group you can put affiliate links and
say hey guys really cool products right
here
pinning at the top that's another way a
great way to start making some money
with affiliate marketing so those are
the two routes paid and free I would
suggest going the free route and just
learning from videos like this make sure
you subscribed but let's talk about some
different affiliate networks and and and
how you can get started with this and
some of the best products that I would
suggest promoting okay so first of all
as far as affiliate networks go we just
mentioned Amazon okay so Amazon is one
of the most popular probably the easiest
one to get started with you can just
sign up for the sites probably like Kol
like Amazon Associates something and
this is super simple to get star
okay that's a great option but the
problem here is that with something like
Amazon Associates you will generally get
a smaller piece of the pie so if you buy
this camera right here I think I'll get
about $40 but Amazon gets like a
thousand dollars because it's pretty
expensive camera so it's it's only about
maybe three or four percent of the
revenue from that sale that I'm actually
getting so three to four percent in the
affiliate marketing world it's not very
good
what's better is something like CJ comm
so this is Commission Junction I don't
get paid by them to say this I I wish
they did pay me but Commission Junction
is an interesting one it's one of my
favorites but you can sign up for an
account here for free and I'll actually
take you on my dashboard and show you
around for this channels Affiliate
Network all right so this is CJ comm and
I'm just gonna kind of run you through a
little bit of like stuff that you can do
here and hang a star with it but you can
see the performance summary this is for
this channel that you're watching right
now it only has like 4,000 maybe 4,500
subscribers on this channel right now
but even from this small following we
were able to generate this week 232
dollars since the beginning of December
today's the 11th of December we were
able to generate about 788 dollars from
1800 clicks okay so this is you know
pretty decent honestly and the reason
why we're getting such a good rate this
is literally like 50 cents per click
that we're getting or about 45 cents per
click that we are getting in money
and the reason why it's pretty high is
because our videos are very much like
focused on specific products and
specific things so example like product
reviews will get really high conversion
rates we can go more into this in future
videos but I just want to show you guys
like this how it works it's very real
this is for this smaller Channel
obviously for my primary YouTube channel
the revenues gonna be a lot higher for
that but you know some of these like
like some days it'll be $0 other days
will get like you know over a hundred
dollars or thirty dollars but it
definitely you know it's something nice
to have coming in on the side let me
show you all these advertisers because
there's so many different advertisers
that you're gonna find on here if we
click on advertisers up here let's just
wait for this will load really quick so
we can see from this list
here that there are so many things that
we can promote No okay 1-800 dentist I
don't know who you promotes that but you
know like like one one password or just
all these different products right
active we have absorb health delete me
ABC Mouse and we're only an a right here
a sir so there's a lot of products that
you you're familiar with right like you
probably recognize a lot of these
products here and you can promote any of
these Air France you just click on join
program and you can join them and get
started promoting them right and then
they give you a special little link
right so you get the link right here
they gave you a link and you start
putting your link out there for Alibaba
for Alliance for all these different
companies that you like Alpine slips
Swiss and we're still in a here American
Eagle so you can see like there are
literally thousands probably tens of
thousands of products on this site that
you can start promoting so let's kind of
move on through this video and talk
about other stuff but definitely check
out CJ but the point is here that some
products are going to offer higher
commissions or higher pieces of the pie
for promoting them so for example if I
promote Nord VPN right I will get
roughly about I think it's about a fifty
percent commission what that means is I
get half of the sale for helping them
and get somebody to buy okay so if
somebody spends 80 dollars at Nord VPN
for their VPN service I will get $40
because I get a fifty percent commission
that's pretty good
so that's a big piece of the pie so I
definitely suggest checking out CJ comm
and there's another affiliate network
that's available there's actually two
that I use one of them is Clickbank
maybe that you hear about this you know
I have mixed views on Clickbank I think
in general it's good I've made thousands
on it but you need to sift through a lot
of the products on there and you're
gonna see this is kind of like a
recurring theme if you watch my videos
that I take my integrity very seriously
and I think you should too I can't tell
you what to do but I see people who go
through this affiliate marketing route
and they end up just promoting anything
and everything that offers them money
and I think this is a problem and with
something like Clickbank the
our products that are legit they're all
products that are good and I've promoted
a couple of them but then there's also a
number of products that just aren't very
good they're not worth it they're scams
they're just not worth the money okay
so if you're gonna use Clickbank just be
careful with it you can find good
products but just sift through it a
little bit more and then there's another
one called impact I think it's just
impact com not sure but its impact
radius and they have another affiliate
network there so there's a lot of
companies who use that as well you can
sign up for a free account and see what
companies are on that site to start
promoting but going back to what I said
guys look keep your integrity high okay
don't sell crap I think it's gonna hurt
you and once you kill your reputation if
you're doing affiliate marketing and you
promote something like bit connect man I
remember a lot of people were promoting
big connect back about two years ago if
you know what I'm talking about you you
know okay but people were just promoting
like pyramid schemes and they ended up
killing the reputation and if you've
watched my channels in the past you'll
know that one of the greatest assets
that I believe we have besides of time
is our name okay so your name your
personal brand is something that you
need to hold with a high standard and
don't promote stuff that you don't
believe in but I would suggest promoting
products that you just like to use so
start today start tomorrow find a way to
get traffic to your site to your YouTube
channel to your Instagram and then find
products that you can relate to it you
can tie back to it just like what I'm
doing here talking about this and saying
that you should start a YouTube channel
and then I just happen to have a link
for a camera that you can buy right now
and down in the description that's a
perfect example of how to promote a
product that you believe in that you
think is going to be valuable for that
person so that's what I do guys just
