selling on Amazon is not for everybody
if you're thinking about selling on
Amazon then make sure that you watch
this video in full before you even
decide to start or begin my name is
Stephan James and welcome to project
life mastery and I've been selling on
Amazon for many many many years I
started years ago publishing books on
Amazon had a lot of great success with
that - selling physical products and now
I'm involved in many different online
business models now I think that a lot
of people when they decide to sell on
Amazon they look at the potential of it
they see what someone like myself has
done or someone like Tatiana who's had a
lot of a lot of success on Amazon it
twenty four years old two different
success stories and different regular
people out there that have changed their
lives with it they've started from
nothing and gone on to making six
figures seven figures even eight figures
by selling on Amazon and building their
online business and I think a lot of
people they create a misconception when
they see all of that and they
automatically assume that it must be
easy right that if all these other
people are doing it then if it's easy
and that it's it's a get-rich-quick that
is furthest from the truth guys you got
to understand that selling on Amazon or
going to be easy it's not a
get-rich-quick it is going to require
hard work sacrifice and that investing
of your time your money it's gonna
require taking on some risk it's gonna
require going to ups and downs
challenges and things not working out
the way that you expect and I think for
a lot of people they don't really
understand or expect that and how could
that right if you're kind of standing on
the outside of something you haven't yet
been involved in it in the trenches of
it you have a limited perception of
really what it takes and what's involved
in that you haven't been through it
right you're a newbie and so often times
it's not so you've gone through the
journey and you have that experience
that you can really understand and know
of what it really goes through you know
here on my channel I try to you know
paint the picture and show you guys to
inspire you of what's possible because I
think that is that the first step to
changing anything in your life to create
a compelling future a vision the
possibilities to shift
the paradigm the belief system that I
know so many people are in limiting
themselves thinking that they just got
to have a nine-to-five job or it's not
possible for them to become financially
free or that they can't have an online
business or they can't create financial
wealth in abundance
guys of course you can that's
what I do try to bring as many different
role models as possible because when you
see all the proof of it the evidence
then you can't deny you know it's pretty
apparent now there's many people out
there that have an amazing success with
it so first is their potential in Amazon
of course can you make $10,000 a month
20,000 50,000 100,000 a million dollars
a month okay the answer is yes how do I
know because there's other people that
are doing it and guess what guys
anything that other people are doing you
can do as well right you're just gonna
learn from them you have to model you
have to go through you know the process
of that but what one man can do another
man can do okay I really want you guys
to understand that you are capable of a
lot more than what you think you're
capable of and it's oftentimes not until
you expose yourself to inspiring role
models that it shifts through your
paradigm your whole belief system
expands and that's the exciting thing
about an opportunity like Amazon or an
online business is that anybody you can
successfully sell on Amazon and change
their life and benefit from it but it's
not for those that aren't willing to go
through the process if you're just
looking at the result and the outcome
and all that that it can provide for you
but you're not willing to go through the
process to have that then it's not going
to be for you you're looking in the
wrong place and it's not until either
maybe you find something else that's
more suited for you or you come to terms
to accept the fact that this is what
it's going to take to create my Amazon
business and create the freedom that I
want and most importantly you're willing
you're willing to go through the process
because change has not come down to
ability it never does because what you
can do is amazing
it does not come down to ability it
always comes down to motivation okay and
what a human beings capable of is
freaking amazing what they can do is
amazing but what they will do is often
very disappointing so you've got to ask
yourself before you even start this
business ask yourself this why am I
starting to sell on Amazon why do I want
to sell on Amazon why do I want to go
through this process and if your why
your purpose for this is not strong
enough it's not compelling enough then
you're not gonna have the emotional fuel
to get through this to go through the
ups and downs the trials and
tribulations the adversity that you're
inevitably gonna have to face because
everybody does okay having a business is
not easy it's not all sunshine and
rainbows you know there are challenges
that come along with any business and
even Amazon as well you know there's
gonna be challenges you're gonna have to
face of you build up your Amazon listing
and an Amazon makes a change and all of
a sudden overnight it affects your sales
or you have an issue with your supplier
or you have issues with customers that
are being a pain in the ass and they're
refunding the product and complaining
and threatening you that if they don't
get what they want they're gonna leave
all these negative reviews all this BS
that comes with owning a business and
every business has that any business
you're dealing with customers and other
people you're gonna have to go through
that any business you're dealing with
other third parties like Amazon or if
you're dealing with Facebook or dealing
with Google you're dealing with Shopify
whatever it might be right there's
always gonna be certain things that are
going to you know they're going to
create some stress along this journey
they're gonna make create some
difficulties and challenges you're gonna
have to go through that okay part of
getting what you want is knowing what
you have to give up in order to have
you're gonna have to be willing to put
in work okay it's not gonna be easy you
know for a lot of people just launching
a product on Amazon usually takes about
eight to eight to twelve weeks right two
to three months so it's not a
get-rich-quick and even once you put up
your product on Amazon you're gonna have
to put into work to promote it tomorrow
you know Amazon's not gonna do
everything for you it's not like hey I
just put up a product on Amazon I'm done
right that's when it begins guys you
don't just put up a product and all of a
sudden Amazon does everything for you
makes you all this money Amazon will
help you ride it make it easy for you
right to access their millions and
millions of customers that already have
a credit card in their system so then
it's gonna press a button and it ships
to their address they don't have to put
in their credit card detail as powerful
that's very powerful to tap into that
but they only are gonna reward those
that are selling their product and
marketing it and they've got a great
quality product that's actually helping
people because if it's doing well
Amazon likes that they want to make more
money from it they're gonna promote your
product they're gonna recommend it on
their homepage they're gonna do a lot of
that for you but it's not gonna be easy
so if you have the misconception the
mindset I'm looking this for an easy and
fast way to make money I'm looking for
the get-rich-quick don't start not for
you
go look look somewhere else okay and
you're not gonna find it doesn't exist
it's not gonna last long term or be
sustainable there's no short term fix
for a long term problem in your life
okay you've got to be understanding it's
a long term process to build a business
and to be successful okay so it is gonna
require time it's gonna require money
right if you're looking at all wall
stephannie I don't want to invest any
money in so I'm gonna Amazon I don't
want to invest in a course I don't want
to invest in I just want to find the way
that I can make money without having to
spend money good luck guys you can
there's ways you can do that yes is it
possible yes but you're just making it
so much harder on yourself it's gonna
take you so much more longer to try to
figure things out instead if you just
learn from someone else that's already
been through the process had the success
and they're willing to help you and give
you the steps so that you don't have to
go through the years of pain and
frustration and effort and wasting money
and risk and all of that they're crazy
right there's no brainer to invest in
the course and the training it's no
brainer to understand that this is a
business it's not a side hustle it's not
a hobby it's a business it's a business
that requires you to be serious and
responsible it requires you to invest
money into it you've got to have your
you got to get good quality product
packaging and a logo and the design of
the product right you're gonna have to
put it up there and pay for freight
forwarder to ship your products you
amazon fulfillment centers right you're
gonna have to put it up there and you
might have to run ads to help promote
and sell your products you might have to
give away some products to help get some
more reach and influence for their
product there's there's expenses
involved in this as a business and it
should be that way
right I mean guys you don't want things
to come easy in life you don't want to
take the path of least resistance that
that that doesn't lead to a stronger
character it doesn't lead to you
becoming more and that's the name of the
game guys that's all about who you
become right I'm happy that success on
Amazon or any other business is not easy
it's not for everyone because it's only
for those that are truly committed those
that are willing to go through that to
become more but also willing to add
value contribute beyond themselves so I
want you guys us to understand that
there's a process to this and I'm not
trying to paint a bad picture here to
discourage you I want to give you the
truth now maybe there are some people
that it's easy for maybe there are some
people that get rich quick right maybe
there are some people like that but
that's a small minority the people that
I know that are very successful and I
know a lot of them on Amazon I took them
time took the months years took them
money they had to invest it they worked
their asses off that means sacrifices in
their life that they went through that
they had to pay the price but guess what
when I asked all those people now are
you grateful that you went through that
process to see of course because yes it
did suck yes I did have to go through a
few years of growth and growing pains I
did have to struggle I did have to
sacrifice for a year or two three years
but guess what now I can live the rest
of my life free now I've got all the
time in the world to spend my time as my
friends my family to go to the gym to
travel to experience whatever I want to
work from home to be with my kids to be
happy and fulfilled to grow and improve
myself to my maximum potential and
they're gonna say well Stefan the years
that I went through I
Kame so much more it wasn't easy but
look who I became on the other side of
it I had to learn how to run a business
I had to learn how to deal with
suppliers had to learn how did it sell
me I have to learn marketing skills and
advertising I gained so much from that
process and experience that I can take
that with me for the rest of my life and
it'll serve me and any other endeavor
that I pursue in my life it's powerful
you guys get that you understand how
valuable that is but listen I understand
not everybody thinks that way you know
Carol Dweck as a psychologist wrote a
book called mindset mindset great book
highly recommend it there's two
different mindsets the fixed mindset and
the growth mindset if you're disagreeing
with me right now I could probably tell
you're in the fixed mindset fixed
mindset is you don't believe that you
can change you don't believe that you
can grow you don't believe you can
become more you just believe that your
life now is though is the way it's gonna
be and will continue to be that way and
you're probably not buying into what I'm
gonna share with you on the other hand
most of you actually I think are in the
growth mindset I mean if you're still
watching this video if you're a
subscriber of my channel you know me I'm
a growth person I look at everything as
an opportunity to grow I reframe things
every every adversity challenge any
negative I turn it into a positive
because I think that it that all of
those experiences of life serve a
purpose there's an empowering purpose
behind it and that purpose is for us to
become more and if you're looking to
become more if you've got the growth
mindset and you're willing to then join
me man join me on becoming an
entrepreneur
join me on selling on Amazon this is
something that you're going to enjoy
it's something that when these
challenges inversely comes up you're
gonna get excited
you're gonna embrace it it might be
maybe not in the moment maybe at times
you might might kick you in the ass and
knock you down but overall you're gonna
look back and you're gonna know deep
down inside that this is what's allowing
you to become more and to grow and
you're gonna be grateful and
appreciative of those experiences that
you go through in the journey and then
once you earn that success you make that
financial abundance in your life for you
know whatever at level whatever level
that is for you you're gonna have a deep
sense of pride and appreciation and
gratitude for what you've created in
your life you're gonna be able to
provide for those around you your family
your friends you're gonna be able to
support charities and causes that you're
passionate about making a bigger impact
of difference in the world and you're
gonna just feel proud of who you became
what you went through you know the
people that I know that are successful
they have that pride within they have
this unstoppable confidence and this
will inside that they've cultivated by
going through the journey so the rewards
are there but the rewards are only there
for those that are truly committed those
that look at this as an opportunity and
understand you know what it is gonna be
a war it is gonna be a battle but all I
can also have fun too I can enjoy the
journey because it's gonna make me more
and it's gonna provide a better future
for myself it's gonna allow me to
experience the life I really want and
create freedom and abundance at the
level that I desire so it's not for
everybody it's for those that are open
those that are committed those that are
resourceful those that are willing to
invest that I want to go through the
process that won't that give something
up if that's you then selling on Amazon
is definitely for you if you're the kind
of person watching this saying Stephan
I'm not willing to go through that I'm
just I'm just not you know I'm not
willing to give something up I'm not
willing to sacrifice I'm not willing to
put in some money for this I'm not
willing to to go through that even
though you know it might just be for a
few years I'm just not willing to that's
fine you know nothing wrong with that I
actually respect you for being honest
with yourself and knowing that about
yourself and you know what maybe you
know there's certain people they value
different things some people value
security other people value freedom and
if you value security more than freedom
then you're gonna take the path of
security which might be a job or a
career that can provide
for you right and that's fine you know
nothing wrong with that I know many
people that are very happy living their
life like that too so I don't have no
judgment whatsoever but there's other
people they value freedom more and
freedom means giving up some security
and taking those risks and not that one
life is better than the other I think
your quality of life isn't necessarily
based on that it could be a factor of
course but there's other factors as well
that determine an amazing life like
relationships and whatnot as well so
it's important to understand yourself
and understand and ask yourself why you
want to do this and make sure your
reasons are empowering enough to drive
and pull you through it if you want a
quick exercise guys take out a pen and
paper write out ten twenty thirty forty
fifty a hundred reasons why you want to
succeed on Amazon why you want to build
your business everything from men you
know I'm doing this so I can become more
and grow I'm doing this so that I can
prove to myself what I'm capable of I'm
doing doing this so that I can create
better financial future so I can make
passive income so that I can make money
while I sleep I'm doing this so that I
can have freedom to work from anywhere
that I want in the world right to work
from home or work for my laptop live in
the laptop lifestyle hey I'm doing this
so that I can take care of my family one
day right so that they don't have to
work or I'm doing this so that I can
serve people in some way shape or form I
want to create a product that helps
solve other people's problems or other
people benefit from hey I'm doing this
so that I can be able to have the
freedom to you know buy luxurious things
you know if I want whether it's a nice
watch or clothing or whatever it might
be okay I'm doing this so that I can
travel the world or hey you know I'm
doing this so I have the financial
freedom so that I can give and
contribute money to different charities
and organizations right or hey you know
I'm doing this so that I can prove my
friends wrong my family wrong right I
want to inspire them and show them what
I'm capable of or hey you know I'm doing
this so that you know I could be in the
top 1% right I'm gonna do it so I can
experience things that other people
aren't able to experience because I've
created the financial abundance whatever
that is for you guys I just gave you
like ten
different reasons but the more reasons
you have and you dig deep guys man
you're gonna come across a few that are
gonna spark you and those reasons when
they go in and get stuff refer back to
them go back to those reasons like yeah
this is why I started this is why I'm
doing this guy this is my purpose this
is what I'm you know if you're feeling
lazy demotivated you know you don't want
to put in the work
whatever it is refer back to those
reasons and keep your belief and your
certainty in this process strong I think
if you do that guys yeah you might go
through ups and downs but you'll never
give up you'll keep having those reasons
that will pull you to the finish line to
get to where you want to go so listen
