so I'm really excited to have you here
this live is designed to help you
understand what's beyond the 90 day
challenge you know I'm a huge proponent
of content marketing and the more I
reflect on the content that I put out on
my channel combined with what my wife
and I have done that works and combined
again with what essentially is working
for me now
it really is content marketing that
seems to be the engine that's driving
both of my online or all three of my
online businesses in a major way which
is you know it's interesting to me
because I can see from the results of my
videos I publish about Facebook
advertising that those videos get me
results I get lots more views with those
kinds of videos but the actual game of
Facebook advertising not to say it's not
growing my business but that's
essentially like grown up gambling in
some interesting way that's how I'm
reinvesting in my business but the core
of my businesses are still focused
around content marketing which is what I
want to talk with you about here today
I'm really excited to share more about
where to go with content marketing
beyond the 90-day challenge so at this
point you you obviously understand the
90 day challenge idea it's about putting
out one great piece of content per day
every day for 90 days then the question
is but then what or the other question
is well what else can I do in order to
really kind of grow and expand my reach
and maximize this content that you're
creating because to put out a piece of
content and then forget about it forever
is definitely not the goal we want to
grow them add them merge them etc etc so
what we're gonna do right now is I'm
going to share my screen there may be a
little delay in here and I apologize for
that if there is Mike I'm working on
this new software on the open
broadcaster studio and I will get it
dialed in perfectly at some point once I
cover what I've been doing and how this
is kind of working for me we're gonna
then shift into your questions I'll be
able to answer your questions here I've
got some time dedicated to help as
many of you as I can it's a holiday here
in the US it's a very big holiday for
people to go out camping and barbecuing
and partying but then there's some of us
who are entrepreneurs who decide to stay
locked in our little caves and to work
and build our asset to build our
business forward to create a new future
for ourselves this is my way of saying
I'm right here with you on a holiday I'm
working as well and I wanted to reach
out and make myself available for you if
you're working because honestly I think
this is what is required to truly create
a business it takes sacrifice such as
saying no to the parties and no to the
barbecues I need to work on my business
today because I got a pay day off from
the Jo B got to work on the business to
kind of push it forward so let's
actually jump right in I'm going to go
over here and share my screen so now you
can see my screen and we're gonna go
over to my YouTube channel to start
which I should be able to get there here
so I want to show you really quick an
idea of how I've been organizing my
content here on YouTube now when I
started making my 90-day challenge
videos I literally just started I did
not know where it was gonna go I knew
that I had a large amount of knowledge
in this field because I've been doing
internet marketing for 15 plus years and
I knew I wanted to share that I wanted
to change the game I wanted to disrupt
the internet marketing world everyone
seems to be giving this much information
and trying to charge you $2,000 for the
rest and I wanted to kind of disrupt
that but I didn't know where to start
there's too many topics too many ideas
so what did I do
I just started I made video 1 and then I
made video 2 and then I made video 3 we
don't need to count all the way I did
120 videos in 120 days and what I ended
up doing is I made playlists right so as
I was creating the videos my content
started to group together in very
logical playlists right so I've got the
DIY sales funnel video series right
which is essentially a clickfunnels
alternative and I started grouping them
together my YouTube video
of my YouTube video marketing videos
I've grouped together in playlists
the marketing funnels all the different
marketing funnels etc my facebook ads
and I actually have even more than this
but I'm gonna scroll down to these ones
so probably the first biggest one and
we're going to talk about these two
these are going to be the examples we're
going to cover and you're going to see
how content marketing 2.0 played out
within this how to advertise on Facebook
and within this DIY sales funnel series
so these are the examples we're going to
look at I'm working on replicating this
process for all of my other ones so the
first thing I want to look at is how I
structured it in the playlist form
essentially what I was doing in the
playlist form is simply grouping them
together in order to help you have a
user experience where you're able to
look at all of the different videos that
I have about Facebook ads right I
thought this was a very helpful
situation it will call it mildly helpful
but one of the challenges that I
continued to get in the comments was
people saying where do I start how do i
how do I even know what to do there's so
many videos in here the organization is
not all that great and there's really no
guide for what someone is to do
throughout these right might be at a
different step than the next person next
to you so I've recently created what is
one of these kind of 2.0 versions of
content and I've just published it to my
website now I know there's about a
two-second delay here or so so I'm gonna
kind of give this a second I'll try to
slow myself down so we can stay on pace
together and I do appreciate your
patience if there is a delay so now you
can see on my blog this was just last
week I finished it so I've put together
and how to advertise on Facebook post
right in the keyword tool this is an
extremely difficult phrase for me to go
after and my target keyword phrase I'm
going after here is how to advertise on
Facebook and this is where you start to
understand what phase 2.0 is on kind of
the content marketing game because I've
created
did literally I think 30-plus videos
about Facebook advertising from the nuts
and bolts of the little things right the
pixel where to get the pixel how to run
a split test on your ad then I have some
big picture things as well the big
picture content kind of says oh that's
kind of funny the big picture content is
more about the full process start to
finish how to advertise on Facebook in
one video now the reason this might not
be loading well is because I'm doing a
live stream and this post literally has
oh I think we got it ah I almost
spoilered we were close to a spoiler
alert there so I'm going to give this
just a second to load here check on you
guys um let me see here contents alright
alright yeah my connections killing me
hmm interesting well I'm going to
continue to run forward with this in
hopes that you guys are able to hear me
if for some reason this doesn't work and
I get to the comments after this portion
I may actually just start and launch a
new one and re-explained this because I
think this is really important content
for you to understand so here is the
post that I've been talking about that
it was a way for me to compile all of
that content in one place and you'll
notice it starts out with a lot of
content and here's the first big portion
that you'll see I've put this table of
contents here that really is what I
consider the roadmap for someone who
wants to start advertising on Facebook
my goal has been to take all of those
individual videos that I recorded in no
particular order right I followed my
intuition every day on which ones I
wanted to record and now I wrote and I
laid out a basic structure on how I
think a user should go through the
process of actually creating and running
ads online this table of contents allows
someone who's new to my content or maybe
someone who's in the middle of the
process of creating their advertisements
but they have a question about audiences
or
they have a question about targeting and
budgeting for example so the table of
contents is a way to now structure this
and this table of contents came directly
from my exercise that I taught in my how
to lay out your information product
course the idea where we have the the
circle of the line the circle and then
the little hash marks and what's all
required in here each of these parts was
one of my hash marks in that process so
I used that same sort of video kind of
how to layout your course that I did in
a video for you to create this here and
event essentially the short kind of take
on this I end up writing about 3,000
words of unique content on this post and
then what I did is I embedded about 30
different videos and you can see the
videos are starting to show at this
point and it's literally the kind of
post that essentially could be an entire
course on how to do facebook advertising
and you notice there was a lot more
content more written content up at the
very beginning but now that we're
getting deeper into this post you're
noticing there are a lot and I mean a
lot of videos that are embedded in this
post in this post I believe it's 28 to
30 different posts and this is going to
be a living breathing post that I
essentially will continue to update so
when people ask me on for example in a
comment like where do I start I now have
a resource to send them to and it's also
something that the search engines have a
high likelihood of picking up and in
that case when they pick this up this
could generate thousands upon thousands
of highly targeted individuals who I
know are interested in Facebook
advertising to me and I want to give you
an understanding of how big this is now
I'm going up against some of the biggest
competition in the world right like
there's people who have Facebook courses
that sell them for insane amounts of
money to be honest with you like we're
talking some people physically spend I
mean the amount of time and energy that
some people put into marketing their
courses is massive
and Here I am what I would consider kind
of a new kid on the block I have just
put together a post that you just saw
that has a very strong possibility of
being one of the most comprehensive free
resources on how to advertise on
Facebook on the entire Internet right so
what does that do for me number one it
really establishes the credibility about
how much I've created and how much I
know on the subject so the know like
trust meter goes way way up from the
moment a user loads that page right so
that is very powerful positioning for me
and it helps me grow my list because I
have a content upgrade that says hey do
you want to see the case study where I
reveal my exact funnel and Facebook Ads
that got me thirteen thousand nine
hundred and sixty-four leads in 30 days
the odds of someone being on that page
wanting to subscribe to my list for that
free item are very very high and I'm
seeing nearly a fifteen percent
opt-in rate from visitors who reach that
page so it's a very strong list building
option for me - I also have a few
affiliate links and of that post and
those affiliate links helped me connect
people who are interested in what I'm
talking about
with courses from paid kind of teachers
if you will right through learning
management systems that will take it
even beyond what I wrote there and I
earn a commission when someone purchases
ultimately my goal here is to put out a
piece of content that is so large and so
comprehensive that people who are kind
of in the space or they have readers
they have a list or they have a social
media platform when they find my post on
this kind of content marketing excuse me
when they find this post on how to
advertise on Facebook they look at it
and their thought is wow it would take
me months to recreate that on my own
they would think to themselves
I am never actually going to do all of
that work so I'm just going to take that
link and
I'm gonna share it with my audience
because that individual knows that there
is social capital there's social value
for being the first one to introduce
their audience with someone who's really
really helpful right so I have now put
together what's considered a very
shareable piece of content so now the
odds of me gaining naturally backlinks
are very very significant I don't chase
backlinks in my game that's not how I
play the SEO game I'm all about putting
my effort towards creating these assets
that are these massive posts that are
hyper relevant to people that offer all
the steps completely lay it all out and
if you're thinking well miles but if I
give away all the information would
anyone want to purchase from me and you
would be absolutely surprised if I was
selling Facebook advertising services a
post like this is going to bring me more
clients than advertisements would right
I could literally do a Facebook click to
site type post or a paper engagement
post that simply promotes this huge
piece of information and that alone
shows my level of expertise so if
someone was shopping around for an
expert to hire for running their
Facebook ads if they found kind of
service provider a simply has
advertisement after advertisement after
advertisement with call-to-action after
a call to action and then they find my
content that literally shows them
exactly how to do the process for
themselves they're gonna trust me
they're gonna be able to go through and
look at my methodologies they're going
to be able to build a relationship with
me by consuming the content on that page
and when they get to the bottom they're
gonna be overwhelmed they're gonna be
like oh my gosh this there's so much to
this they're gonna think I don't have
time to do this and they'll want to hire
me because I've given them results in
advance right this is the most powerful
idea I'm trying to help you understand
and this is how I didn't start my
content marketing I didn't start my
90-day challenge thinking okay it in
eight months I'm going to create this
massive post on Facebook Ads let me go
record all the pieces I took a very
different approach I took
the approach of let me simply start
publishing start publishing I got really
good at publishing on the video side
just to where I could flex that muscle
and to where it was kind of habituated
then once I was able to look back and
see these big clusters of contents that
I've created that are very similar to
each other in different ways like I was
like wow I've talked about this topic
from 13 different angles
let me go create a post on my site so
now I can tap into the Google sphere of
traffic as well so let's go I'm gonna do
one more screen share and I hope my
internet can handle this but I want to
show you how this played out for one
other post on my website so one quick
moment here and really I think it's I'm
trying to show you phase two and if you
know your topic matter in your subject
matter really well you are able to kind
of engage in phase one and Phase two at
the same time I would never compromise
my 90 day challenge or my hundred and
twenty day challenge I would never
compromise that in order to put together
one of these mega posts right I think
habituating content on a regular basis
every day putting out content is the
most important step but then once you
get breathing room or when you settle
into more of a routine like I've been in
for the last couple of months I've been
doing a Monday Wednesday Friday well
guess what this was one of my Thursdays
right I spent all day Thursday and it
took all day to create that post I spent
all day Thursday on essentially putting
together that mega post that now has a
chance to drive traffic to my website
for life and this will deliver leads and
it will deliver customers for life this
is an asset this is an asset that can
pay me through traffic and content
literally for the rest of my life so
this is the next one right here this
clickfunnels alternative now I've
created a video series that's called the
DIY sales funnel video series and this
video series is showing you how to use
WordPress just like we're on right here
and how to build your own sales funnel
that literally will save you thousands
of dollars compared to using click
funnels now I could promote click
funnels and receive
forty percent commission but there's two
challenges with that number one I don't
believe in it and I can't promote
something I don't believe in my wife and
I have built three separate businesses
on WordPress in this day and age we
collect our leads on WordPress we run
our shopping cart through WordPress we
do our product delivery through
WordPress so it would not be within
integrity for me to recommend something
that I'm not using number two this
allows me to take a kind of different
stance in the market my USP is don't use
that overpriced buggy software let me
show you how to do it this way to save
money then when I was looking for the
main keyword phrase of what do I want to
name this how do I bring all this
content together
I found the phrase clickfunnels
alternative and it doesn't get a massive
amount of search volume but I think that
search volume is going to increase month
over month over month and what it is to
me it's a very telling search phrase
that says people like the idea of click
funnels that means they're on that
awareness scale that we talked about in
a different video they're literally like
in the most aware category they know
that they need a funnel in order to grow
their business in my house and I will
need you back here
