this video I want to give you a few tips
on how you can make passive income for
2019 now these are going to be just a
few tips I've got a whole lot more but I
kind of want to make it into a smaller
video for you so it's a little bit
easier for you to take in these are all
things that I've done myself over the
something up really quickly just before
we get started
passive income to me isn't something
where you just flick a switch and you
make money to me it's where you put in a
fair bit of work at the start and then
it can kind of come in on autopilot and
what I also want to make clear is that
it's totally possible to do you just
have to kind of know the little tricks
on how to do it and then you need to
work hard for the at the start and then
you can let it roll in but anyway I
don't want to waste your time too much
longer we're gonna jump into this video

really love that but anyway let's jump
in too many people ramble on in these
videos so let's jump into the very first
tip okay so the very first way in which
I would recommend you guys start making
passive income in 2019 and what this is
probably going to be really based around
is by starting a YouTube channel and
this is really really important because
what this is going to allow you to do is
have a great way to start marketing and
getting that kind of platform and that
hub in which you can kind of direct
people to your other sources of income
now I'll give you a little bit of a
backstory it won't give you too much of
a backstory because it will take too
long but I actually run a second channel
it in fact it's my main channel I run a
photography channel and it's got around
three hundred and thirty thousand
subscribers now this channel here is
just a little baby it's only got about
twenty thousand subscribers but
essentially I've been running that other
channel for around about four years
that's been a really great source of
income for me for a few different
reasons because it's allowed me to have
a hub where lots of people can come in
and watch my videos I provide a lot of
value by teaching them all about cameras
and photography and in return I can also
make a little bit of money through
things like affiliates through Adsense
sponsorships all of that good stuff so
what I want you guys to do is to start a
YouTube channel today if you haven't
started one this is really really
important because you can get so much
free advertising and free eyeballs on
your products so best way I would always
think about it is to start something
that you're passionate about so like I
said before I've got this YouTube
channel about photography because I
really love cameras and you know I own
something like 15 cameras and I love to
review them I love to take photos with
them and I also love to teach people
about photography and this is how I got
into my my channel so you could maybe
make a channel about basketball if you
like basketball you could make tips
videos on how to shoot better how to
dribble better how to hit a
three-pointer or you could even start
talking about the NBA season you could
start may be analyzing games and things
like that or you could do something like
a craft channel if you like doing crafts
so my girlfriend she likes to crochet
you could make a video about that you've
got to think that if you like this
there's also going to be a lot of other
people who really like this as well so
the number one thing is to start a
YouTube channel because this is how
you're going to get all of the eyeballs
now for example on my youtube channel I
get around about 1.5 million views a
month and that might sound like a lot
and it is but it didn't take too much
work to get it started so even if you
for example get 10,000 views a month
just think about how many eyeballs are
going to be on your products or your on
your affiliate links or things like that
so just give it a little bit of time
there's totally possible if someone as
silly as me can create a YouTube channel
with 300,000 subscribers and a million
views a month you can definitely do it
too and then now what I want to talk
about is ways in which we can monetize
this so you can get that passive income
okay so let's talk about a few different
ways in which you can make passive
income
especially using that YouTube channel to
start off with so the first thing is to
sell courses and this is a really really
cool thing and a way in which you can
really give to someone but then they
also give you back but you know paying
you so again let's talk about that
basketball example so let's say you're
you were a pretty good basketball or you
might have been a high school basketball
or and you've done pretty well but you
didn't actually make it to the
professional league what you can do is
make a ton of videos on YouTube and
really give heaps of value and build a
community around your channel so let's
say you in the next year build up a
channel which has 5,000 subscribers or
10,000 subscribers it's totally possible
then what you could do is create
tutorials on how to get that perfect
jump shot and then what you could do is
have a more advanced kind of tutorial or
a course which you can sell to people
now a lot of people sometimes think that
this isn't a like a good thing to do but
this is kind of the way that business
works you could have a course that you
know you can sell for $97 or or $200 or
$50 whatever you really want to price it
at but the great thing is is that once
you have made this course it might take
you a few days to make to film to to
script to edit and put it together but
then that that video and that that
course will be continually being sold
over and over and over again so that's
kind of the pet where the passive side
of that comes in and again because
you're in probably going to be selling
this as a digital file which is what I
would recommend so you could sell it on
something like Shopify comm as a digital
file you really don't even have any
costs either
apart from sorry apart from the Shopify
a fee which is like twenty nine dollars
a month so that's definitely one way in
which you could do it you can sell
courses on things like udemy.com
generally going to have a few more fees
if you're going to be selling on
something like you don't because they
take a cut but just start thinking okay
well I've got this amazing community of
people who really like me they've
appreciated all of the courses they
really want to take it a little bit
further this is a way in which you could
do it by selling courses the next source
of passive income that you could make
again through that kind of YouTube
channel
is through affiliate links and this is
definitely one of the things in which
I've kind of excelled at over my career
because of my in my industry which is
photography and cameras a lot of people
buy things online and if you can
recommend things and you really do
recommend them and you believe in them
it's a great way in order to get a
little bit of a commission through each
sale so just quickly if you don't know
what affiliate commissions are
affiliates is let's take it for example
Amazon they've got the biggest affiliate
program in the world it's called Amazon
affiliate or Amazon Associates sorry and
let's say I have a will take the
basketball channel for example okay so
we've got this basketball channel and
let's say you just got these new Air
Jordans in and they're really really
cool you like them they're the kind of
hottest thing and you do a review on
them and it gets 50,000 views because
everyone wants to see are they a good
pair of shoes well you can do an honest
review and you can actually say yeah
these are pretty good there's a couple
of things that don't like about them but
you know honestly they are pretty good
and in the description box on youtube
you can actually have a link in the
description so you can actually have
three lines of a description and what
you could do there is put your Amazon
affiliate link so essentially all this
is going to do is direct people over to
Amazon where they can buy it but with
that special link that you get from
Amazon if they purchase those shoes in
the next 24 hours you get a cut so for
something like shoes it's around about
seven percent commission so let's say
the shoes are 150 dollars that might be
something like ten dollars that you made
on those shoes the great thing with
Amazon affiliates and this is what
something some people don't really know
and it's what makes it so so cool is
that with Amazon affiliates whatever
they buy in the next 24 hours after
clicking your link you get a commission
up so let's say that they bought those
shoes but they also bought this lens
here which costs about $300 so with
camera lenses you get four percent
commission so again that's going to be
twelve dollars that you made on this
lens but what about if they were also
buying a camera for two thousand dollars
well again four thousand two thousand
dollars four percent of that is 80
so you've just made about $96 on that
one pair of shoes which you just kind of
put a link in and did a review on so
affiliates is a really great way of kind
of making that kind of passive income
and again another thing you need to
think about with passive income is that
you did that review let's say you did
that review six months ago but people
are still looking to buy those shoes
because maybe they just came out in a
different country or someone had just
been told about these these shoes so
they're still watching your review which
is always up on YouTube being watched 24
hours a day seven days a week
well they still might be clicking on
your link six months in advance later
and you'll still be getting those
Commission's six months later and that's
really what that kind of passive income
is you'll be checking your Amazon every
day every now and then and you know you
might make fifty dollars a day you might
make a hundred you might make five but
it's still that passive income which you
did you started the work at the start
and then at the end it was good to go
okay another way in which you can make
passive income especially from that kind
of YouTube channel is with a thing
called print on demand and this is
actually something that I'd do myself
I will actually I do all of these things
by myself but I want to tell you a
little bit about my own story with print
on demand and first off what is print on
demand well it's essentially where you
will have a you'll come up with a design
for something like a t-shirt or a hoodie
or a mug or a cap or a bag or something
like that and then you have that that
design and you upload that to a website
like print fool.com printful is a plugin
for Shopify again we're going to be
talking about Shopify a fair bit I'll
put a link in the description box below
gonna check them out and then what will
happen is someone will order that
t-shirt and then somewhat and then
printful will be the ones who do all of
the hard work for you so all you've done
is created the design uploaded it to
printful then what they're going to do
is get the t-shirt they're going to
print the design they're going to pack
it up they're going to ship it and do
all of the work and then in the end you
just get the profits so let's for
example I can tell you right now sorry
this is a little bit
up and down but I'm just going to go
with flow this this video my t-shirt
company is cold entrepreneur t-shirts Co
so if you are an entrepreneur go and
check it out but essentially we make
t-shirts for entrepreneurs hustlers
motivational t-shirts in fact I'm
wearing one right now
it says entrepreneur super basic but all
I did was upload this logo and then sent
it to printful and then put it on my
website took some nice photos and then
essentially they did the rest
so they pack they they printed it they
packed it up they packaged it they sent
it off all the way to me I'm in Sweden
at the moment with tracking and then I
just get the the profit so what about
what are the profit margins well it cost
around about $10 to $12 for it to to get
the t-shirt printed and packed up and
sent off and you can sell your t-shirt
for maybe 25 to 30 dollars so you're
gonna be making around about a $20
profit margin on each which is actually
really really cool you can imagine if
you end up selling a hundred shirts in a
week 200 shirts in a week or a thousand
shirts in a month or something like that
you can really make a fair bit of money
again we are going to be talking about
that kind of passive income where you
put in that work at the start you're
going to be putting in the work to to
design the t-shirt but that's all then
then everything else is taken care of by
printful so that's a really really cool
way and it's one of the ways in which I
really like it because back in the days
if you were to start a t-shirt label it
would have been really difficult you
know you would have had to have a heat
press you would have had to have all the
t-shirt blanks you would have had to
have a screen printer probably which
they can cost hundreds of dollars to
thousands of dollars you would have had
to have the ink you would have had to
have the packaging probably some stuff
to help you print and with the t-shirts
you've got to have sizes in small medium
large extra-large to work so three excel
in all the different colors and things
like that again with print on demand
it's all done for you now this is a
great way of having this passive income
coming in you just wake up it in in the
morning and you've you say that you've
sold a couple of shirts it's pretty
sweet money comes
to your paypal or stroke it's good to go
a print-on-demand is a form of drop
shipping and if you don't know what drop
shipping is it's essentially where you
don't hold your own stock people buy
from your website and then that gets
sent to another website and the
manufacturer will send that directly to
another person this is what I want to
talk about now this is another way of
passive income that you could look into
it is a little bit more complex but it's
definitely something you could look into
there's a lot of great tutorials online
but this is essentially drop shipping
through Aliexpress and using a Shopify
app called Oberle so the way that you
would do this is you would setup your
website through Shopify it cost about
twenty nine dollars a month you'd find a
really good app so for sorry you'd find
a really good product so for example it
might be it might be this candle it
might be a candle like this and you will
put this on your website someone will
come to your website see it and
essentially they don't know that you
don't actually have this in your own
warehouse you could just bet have this
in your room this candle then gets sent
directly from China probably and goes
directly to them now there are some pros
and cons with dropshipping especially
through something like Aliexpress and
it's not my number one way in which I
would want to be making passive income
but it can be really good if you know
what you're doing the pros are that you
don't have to hold any stock so there's
no upfront costs which is great you
don't have to send out things yourself
so there's no postage costs and there's
no staff that you generally need to to
have to physically send out things and
you don't have to have like that really
big upfront investment there are a few
cons though the the big con is
reliability and because you are dealing
with another manufacturer you're kind of
relying on them not to it up you
know because essentially if they take
too long to send one of your products or
they don't send it or the product is
damaged and there's not enough quality
control in it
you're in kind of deep and then
your your customers not going to be
particularly happy so there are
definitely a few ways in which you need
to kind of kind of let the customer know
that it might take a little bit longer
for the item to arrive
for example generally from China it's
going to take anywhere from two to four
weeks which is really quite a long time
the difference between print-on-demand
and drop shipping my shirts get shipped
from America from California and North
Carolina so they get sent out within
like two days and they also have a
warehouse in Latvia as well so that gets
sent to Europe in about two days as well
so it's a lot quicker and that's one of
the big problems I have with with drop
shipping from someone like Aliexpress
again there could be a great business I
know a lot of people make a lot of money
from this but for me it's probably not
the best one it's probably if you're a
little bit more experienced and you know
kind of the the things you need to watch
out for but this is another way you
could make passive income because again
you just set it up once on your website
and then once the orders come through
someone else deals with it you just get
the money so they go guys there are just
a couple of ways in which you can make
passive income in 2019 hopefully you
