what is the best way to prioritize your
time okay really good question i think
prioritizing your time is going to be
based on your goals the outcomes that
you have and what's most important to
you specifically but also if you have a
certain goal right there's got always
going to be certain actions that are
going to be higher priority or make more
of a difference than all the other
actions right they have the whole 8020
of your actions are going to determine
eighty percent of the results and so you
have to be really good at identifying
okay this is my goal be clear specific
about it and then here's all the things
that I could do I like to have a to do
list but also a could do list a could do
list it's basically again all the things
that you could do that can help you to
achieve this goal and so often when I'm
setting goals I'll have my specific goal
let's say it's too you know one of my
goals is to let's say make two million
dollars okay which is one of my goals
this year that's the goal I'll have it
specific i'll have the deadline for it
and then when it comes to the action
plan i have the cookie list here's all
the things that I could do that can lead
me to making two million dollars in
achieving this goal now out of this list
I might have things like you know
launching this program promoting this
program in a coaching certain number of
clients you know publishing a certain
number of books or a number of amazon
products there's so many things that i
could do right there's even activities
like i can go to you know this seminar I
can read these books I can work with a
mentor a coach there's a you know some
affirmations that I could be right to
support me and achieving that goal we're
kind of my mindset there's so many
things that you could do that can allow
you to achieve that outcome however you
have to be able to look at that list and
decide okay what are the most important
things here to have the highest
probability of allowing me to achieve
this goal in this outcome that I'm after
and what I've found is that if I can
identify the top things then I put all
my effort my focus
energy on working on those okay so I
find that there's a lot of other things
that can help but they're not going to
make as much of a difference as those
top things so for example for me the
biggest things that can allow me to
achieve my goals is producing high
quality content sm net only I can do
that I'm the best at it you know it
comes directly from me that my audience
wants same thing with Korean products
those are all things that I can do all
the other things everything else comes
secondary to that because a lot of those
other things I can get other people to
do for me right even if I can do it
myself if I pay other people to do those
things for me then that's going to allow
me to achieve my goals that much faster
so I also look at it and what only I can
do that's high leverage that other
people can't do okay everything else
that anyone else can do then I'm going
to find a way to get other people to do
that for me okay the marketing of it the
advertising of it all those things even
putting it all together those are all
things that other people can do for me
they're high priority but if I can
leverage other people as well then
that's a really important powerful thing
same thing with the graph the graphics
design logo design you know those are
all things that you want to get other
people to do for you because that's
their skill set in their strengths and
you want to be able to free up your time
so that you can focus on the most
important things oftentimes for me you
know reading certain books or you know
just sitting there learning and things
like that there's a great things to do
but I don't get as much benefit from
those as I used to when I was first
starting my self development journey and
I was spending a lot of times learning
but there's also will danger to that as
well because you can end up in analysis
paralysis you can get yourself in a
position where you have all this theory
and all this great knowledge but you're
not taking action so I had a certain
point in my life I realized you know I
already know enough I've read so many
books of you know been to some of these
seminars and the last time to get to
action it's time to apply all of these
things that I've learned and prioritize
the things that I've learned the most
important highest leverage things that's
going to make the biggest difference for
me okay so same thing and end up
publishing business you know in a kindle
publishing business there's a lot of
things that you can do you know to grow
your business but you have to be able to
identify what are the right
things that I can do were the most
important things that only I can do
everything else that I can outsource to
have other people do great i'm going to
have them do that you know if you you
know spend your time coming up with the
ideas the strategy you know the concepts
building out the back end all that sort
of stuff that's a much more important
things as opposed to you know submitting
your book to directories and promoting
your book and things like that you can
get other people to do those things for
you so you got to make sure you don't
get caught up in all the other castes
another way of looking at it too is
putting a price value on different
activities in your business so for
example if you have your to-do list or
your could you list you can look at all
the activities and ask yourself besides
each of these actions that I have what
value would I give on each of these okay
so for example if you or maybe this is a
better question if you were to ask
yourself how much could I pay someone
else to do this for me and do that for
all the actions so for example you know
one of the actions might be um you know
having someone promote your your book on
social media less on facebook okay you
might say okay well you know what I can
get someone to do this for me for three
dollars right and you can you can you
know go to upward you can hire a virtual
assistant so that's a three dollar per
hour activity you know maybe looking at
you know writing a book okay well that's
something that you know would cost a
little bit more right so that's
something that I'm willing to pay a
little bit more for but I can still have
someone else do that for me how about
coming up with the keywords and the book
titles and writing up high quality
descriptions okay well that's something
that requires copywriting some
intelligence creativity some marketing
experience that's something that you
know you know if you were to pay
something to do that they might cost a
hundred dollars an hour right so there's
certain things that are worth a lot more
than others and you want to focus on the
things that are the highest income
producing as opposed to the things that
you can easily outsource for people you
know for three dollars an hour ten
dollars now or twenty dollars an hour
those are all things you want to hire
out to other people because if you're
spending your time do we know
activities they're only worth three
dollars now or ten dollars an hour then
you're valuing your time at three to ten
dollars twenty dollars now and your time
is worth so much more than that and
that's one thing that tech entrepreneurs
need to understand and realize is that
your time is worth so much more and you
need to act as if your time is worth
hundreds of dollars per hour and do only
those things at any opportunity that you
have to outsource or delegate things to
other people you always want to take
advantage of and you can't be afraid to
invest money in your business and
certain things like that because that's
what's going to allow you to get ahead
even if you could do those things you
still don't want to do them because it
takes up your time your mental energy
your focus and those those right there
your time energy and focus are so
valuable that you can spend those on
creating and doing amazing things that
will allow you to skyrocket your
business that much more hey this is
