what's going on guys welcome back to the
channel Michael Bryan here and I'm down
in Miami Beach right now just hanging
out I wanted to make a video for you
guys today talking about how to grow
your Instagram to thousands of followers
and not just thousands of followers but
thousands of active followers so these
are gonna be people that are liking and
commenting on all of your posts and
we're gonna do all of this organically
of videos out there that I've seen that
really talked about different ways that
are kind of hackish they want you to you
know follow and unfollow lots of people
use all these ridiculous hashtags and
using those techniques yeah they might
work they might gain a lot of followers
for you but what they're gonna do is
they're gonna either create dead
followers or they're gonna take so much
time that you're not gonna be able to do
what you really like so they're not
gonna be scalable so in this video we're
gonna talk about nine organic growth
hacks growth tips that if you do
correctly I guarantee if you do these
correctly your Instagram account will
have thousands and thousands of
followers so guys I've been using
instagrams since the very beginning and
I've grown many accounts to thousands of
followers and I've coached other people
to grow their accounts to thousands of
followers as well and one thing I'll say
is over the years Instagram has evolved
quite a bit and not only has the
algorithm changed but also the users
have changed so what I mean by that is
now you can't just go out and follow
hundreds of people and expect them all
to follow you back five six years ago
when I was getting started out I could
follow people all day long and they
would all follow back but now people are
so used to all these accounts just
following following following and
they're not gonna follow you back
they're gonna ignore you so you're gonna
be following and that's gonna be not an
effective use of your time so the number
one tip is to have a consistent theme
among all of your posts so you want them
to have the same aesthetic so by this I
mean you're either gonna use the same
filter on all of them or otherwise
you're gonna edit them in a similar
fashion so you want all of your posts to
either have maybe like the same
saturation and the same color
temperature this is the two that I do
you can also change the exposure and any
other filter technique you want now the
reason you want to have this is so that
people recognize your theme and they
recognize your account so when they see
that it's gonna be like oh that's Mike's
picture Mike's posting that I like that
number two you want to encourage
engagement so you want to make sure that
people are either you know liking or
commenting or share
your post and the way you could do this
is by encouraging things like contests
by provoking questions or debates and
saying down in the comment section
people have to reply in order to voice
their opinion on something number three
you want to be able to get traction
early on so when you post a picture
instagrams algorithm is gonna test that
out and say you know is this a good post
do people like this post you know in
order for them to recognize it as a good
post you want to make sure that as many
people as possible like and comment
early on so get all of your friends and
all of your family to not only follow
you but also turn on post notifications
so whenever you post they should go on
like your picture and comment right away
you can also join DM groups which is a
large group of other accounts similar to
yours that might be you know even larger
than you and so sometimes you have to
pay for these but typically you don't
and if you're able to do this then
whenever you post they'll all go in and
they'll like and comment on your picture
and instantly gain you a lot more
traction
now joining DM groups is also good for
some other reasons because you also get
to know a lot of other accounts similar
to yours and you can communicate and you
know bounce ideas off each other and
figure out what actually what content is
best for different people and you know
get some other ideas about your accounts
okay so number four it might be the
biggest one on this entire list and also
the trickiest so this is to decide
whether you want to post original
content or if you want to post
repurposed content so original content
is going to be great because a lot of
people might share that and you're gonna
gain a lot more exposure that way and
it'll bring traffic back to you if you
post non original content however you
can have audience engagement you can
share posts that people send to you and
as a result it's gonna be a lot less
effort you don't to take all the
pictures but it won't pull it quite as
much traffic back to you because you'll
be giving credit to whoever took the
actual pictures so with that in mind I
would recommend doing some combinations
so maybe posting you know five or six
times a week with original content and
maybe one or two times a week with non
original content so you can have
contests where you know your fans your
followers are gonna send in pictures
that you can share one or two days a
week so that's something I found a lot
of success with but again it depends on
what field you're actually in what
market you're in and exactly what type
of Instagram you're trying to use so but
if you are doing original content you
want to make sure that you somehow
watermark your content so that when
people share it not only do you
encourage them to share it when people
share it they'll come back and find your
channel and follow you to see more
pictures like the one that they liked
which was shared on a different account
now that brings us to number five which
is very similar to the last one and you
want to encourage people to share these
on their accounts on different accounts
so if you are encouraging either other
large users to share them or regular
followers to share them those are two
great ways to gain a lot more free
exposure so starting off with number one
getting other people to share them a
great way to get other large accounts of
cherem is to find large accounts out
there that actually post non original
content so they're always looking for
new content and if your content is very
valuable if you present a lot of value
and make great pictures with a great
message and really have a good purpose
on your channel on your account then
you'll be able to share these to other
posts other channels out there and they
will most likely repost it and tag you
and gain you a lot more exposure like
that so rather than exchanging shout
outs a lot of times if you just have
great content and you give it to
somebody else they will post it and
it'll pull the traffic back to you now
getting back to the other technique of
getting your followers to this if you
were posting maybe like comedy or
something like that that's a very
popular one where a lot of people will
share it with their friends so if you're
following like barstool sports for
example I get every day my friends will
share different posts with me and
honestly they are really funny now
something that those those accounts do
which is very effective is they make
them private so you have to follow them
so if you have a very large account and
then you make it private so I wouldn't
recommend this early on but once you get
to about a million followers if you make
it private a lot more people are going
to have to follow you in order to see
the post that their friends shared so
number six you want to make sure you
have a very high engagement to follow a
ratio so as I said Instagram really
cares about keeping people on their
platform and they want to make sure that
your content is the best way for them to
do that so they're gonna test your
content and put it in front of
difference of different followers and if
those people don't like or engage then
they're gonna deem it as a not so
valuable post now the reason I'm saying
this is because if you are posting a
picture and you have thousands of
followers but none of them are actual
people they're all BOTS so they're all
fake then you're gonna lose a lot more
attraction because Instagram is gonna
put it in front of some of those people
and they're obviously not gonna like it
because they're not real and then
instagrams gonna say you know what this
is not a good post so you really want to
make sure you don't have any dead
followers or any fake followers and buy
fake followers I mean people that are
just looking for you to follow back to
make sure that you don't have fake
followers what I typically do is I avoid
using basic hashtags altogether so a lot
of accounts out there say you have to
you
you know 10 20 30 hashtags to gain as
much exposure as possible but what I
found is if you use basic hashtags like
hashtag Beach or something like that
you're going to find that a lot of BOTS
and a lot of fakes are gonna follow you
rather than actual people trying to be
interested in your account okay so
talking about hashtags I think it's
important that you don't use you know
broad hashtags you want to use very
specific ones and maybe choose seven for
your account so an example is Red Bull
so if Red Bulls posting they're gonna
say hashtag Red Bull or hashtag Red Bull
gives you wings or something like that
because it is very important that they
don't use just hashtag soda or general
things like that they want people to
know that the number seven is to post
regularly you want to make sure that
your posts are always at the same time
and they're every single day or whatever
you're trying to do so if you're posting
every Monday Wednesday Friday you want
to make sure you do that every single
week I would recommend posting once a
day seven days a week and you want to
make sure that you posting at the exact
right time so guys honestly you're gonna
have to experiment with this you're
gonna be posting and you're gonna want
to see you know what people like most so
if you post you know in your first 25
posts if most people like the pictures
that are posted at night you're gonna
want to pick a time and say all right
from now on I'm posting every single
picture at night okay so number eight is
to utilize the SEO that you can as much
as possible for Instagram so by this I
mean you want to make sure that your
handle and your account name are both
very specific to what you're actually
doing so if somebody looks up you know
so let's just say you want to make one
about palm trees you could say like palm
tree enthusiasts could be your handle
and maybe your account name could be you
know I love palm trees or something like
that so you want to make sure that it's
something that if anybody looks it up
they're gonna find your account so
number nine is just to be persistent
because honestly it's gonna take time to
grow organically and gain traction at
first it might be really hard honestly
it's the hardest to gain your first
hundred followers after that it's still
difficult to get to a thousand after
that ten thousands hard but eventually
you're gonna gain traction and once you
get to a hundred thousand you'll just
start rolling and you'll easily get to a
million two million or whatever if you
have good content so you want to really
focus on making value and presenting
value and then the followers will come
if you do everything in this video
correctly so I guarantee if you follow
all these nine tips that I just
mentioned and you do it correctly and
you work really hard at it and present
actually good value and good content out
of the platform the algorithm
we'll recognize that and you will gain a
lot of followers so guys that's all I

because the sun's rising out on the
beach right now so honestly I'm just
