just quickly I would just wanted to see

really have anything I wanted to talk to
it but I just wanted to see who would

jump on here and we're waiting for a few
people to come in if you've got any

onto live and do a live stream because
it's been a while since I made a video
and I realized that if I do a live
stream then I can do it pretty easy
without having to actually think of the
topics and make it all perfect and stuff
like that so we've got a few people
coming in already which is really cool

income questions but literally we're
just going to chat and maybe I can let
you guys know what I've been up to over
the last few months which is pretty much
been what everyone else has been doing
which is just being taking it easy
trying not to get in too much trouble
with the whole coronavirus thing going
on but it's been pretty nice I am Alive
Ben thanks for popping in but yeah I
mean I'm not great with the consistency
and the youtube uploads but I don't
really mind that I still still try and
keep social with people but I'm
fortunate that my old videos and that
keep on getting views so that's been
pretty good I'm doing well actually guys
so yeah pretty much everything's been
going pretty sweet I mean I don't know
like
what have you been doing I've been doing
a lot of workouts so I'm relatively fit
at the moment which has been really nice
that's one thing that I've been doing to
kind of stay sane is have been doing a
lot of kind of a lot of work on the bike
I've got my bike back there and I I do
use whiffed so that's kind of like an
online virtual cycling kind of thing so
you ride on the trainer at home and then
you just keep going you know and then
you've got a little avatar and it works
pretty well so I do that pretty much
most days I've been trying to do push
ups pretty much every day so I set
myself a push-up challenge where I was
going like start with 10 in the next day
to 20 and I think I got all the way up
to about 140 and then I went backwards
again so that's been pretty all right
I've got a question no this this
livestream won't set up on this channel
this is just going to be me literally I
made a coffee and I was like I'm gonna
pop on a live stream so what I'm kind of
thinking of doing is maybe doing these
live streams like for a week or
something doing it every morning so it's
it's 3 p.m. here right now
but what I was thinking is is maybe
doing these live streams every morning
just to give them something to do in the
mornings and maybe I will be able to
become more consistent doing YouTube
because it's it's one of those things
it's all about consistency right so yeah
I was definitely thinking about doing it
yeah so let me know if you would be
interested these would be really
informal they wouldn't stay up on the
channel they'd just be like if you're in
if you're popping by let me know and
then I'll jump on and do a live stream
and maybe answer some of your questions
we can talk I'll be it'll wake me up
which is good because I always have
trouble waking up in the morning I get
super tired alright so I got a question
Oh Johnson the the name of this cycling
app is whiffed said wif t so just look
up swift calm it's really popular these
days and it's awesome so yeah alright
let's let's answer some of these
questions and keep them business-related
or personal related nothing like camera
related even though I used to make
camera videos and things like that
I don't want to talk about it as much
these days so we'll try an even bit like
passive income or online income so Chris
what do you think would be a good
strategy to get your first 1000
subscribers on YouTube so you can start
monetizing that's a really good question
what I would really do is you need to
make longer videos rather than two short
videos because you also need to get
those four thousand hours of watch time
so you need to be making your videos at
least ten minutes probably more going to
be closer to 20 minutes and then you
really want to be getting people to stay
around with that what's difficult and
what a lot of people try to do is to try
and get picked up in the algorithm and
this can work but it's very difficult
I'm sure you've heard a lot of people
talk about how difficult YouTube can be
because of the algorithm and you know
larger channels get favored more and
it's quite difficult it's quite easily
easier to get lost
one thing that I've found has worked
really well for me is to try and be in
search so show up in search and that's
one of the reasons again why I think I
talked about this a fair bit but it's
one of the reasons why I've been able to
kind of be a little bit less consistent
on YouTube not upload as much but I
still am able to get a ton of views and
still be able to make a pretty decent
salary doing it so what I would really
target is whatever topic you're gonna do
Chris let me know what the topic is that
you're thinking about making whatever it
is you've got to go into the youtube
search and find what's been working
already and then you can make a similar
video with your take on it with your
personality with your spice and stuff
and you can make your own kind of video
because you know that that video has
already performed well in search it's
gonna be showed up when people are
searching for it if you could do the
same kind of thing let's say a video
gets a million views what if you were to
just get like 10% of that or what if you
were just to get 1% of that so you're
just got to think about that 10% would
be a hundred thousand views and that's
not doing as well as that other video
but what if it was 1% and then that's
10,000 views as a small youtuber that
10,000 views would be super effective
for you so that would be what I would do
Chris let me know the channel its
singing covers okay yeah so with that
you really just want to
make sure your meta descriptions your
thumbnails you're like literally write
out a 300 to 400 word description about
what you're making the video on so maybe
about the song make sure to keep it
keyword heavy so you really want to have
that keyword in there a lot and really
really spend the time making sure that
you actually write a really big
description make sure you get your tags
right really go overboard with it and
that's probably one way that you could
play BOTS says I just started a blog I
was wondering if that's a good idea yeah
I mean it's a really good idea to start
a blog
I think blogging is still a viable way
to to build an audience and to monetize
that audience and one of the good things
is that with that blog you were in the
blog so let's say you start a wordpress
blog or something like that rather than
a youtube channel or Instagram what
tik-tok or snapchat you actually own the
you're in the domain you own the website
and you can post whatever you want so
there's no real risk of you losing that
and you've always got control so it is
it is a good idea let me know what kind
of blog you've started now it's not I
wouldn't just use it as your sole way of
essentially monetizing yourself I would
definitely also have a youtube channel
and I would maybe focus on some of the
other ones as well but really you want
to be putting those two together and
that's a good way what would you say the
best way to make a passive income in is
as a 15 year old well I love this I mean
I think if you can start at 15 which is
half of my age I'm thirty imagine how
good you will have it in 15 years once
you get to my age so I mean again I'm
gonna be bringing it back probably
saying something like YouTube and
building that kind of personal brand or
even it doesn't even have to be a
personal brand it could be building a
channel where you make content but you
can get other people to make the content
for you as well so that's going to be
even more passive so you don't actually
even have to make the videos what you
could probably do is come up with your
ideas maybe come up with some of the
of big strategy kind of things and
that's going to be a way of doing it but
I would definitely say you really want
to start early if you can I mean also
passive income you could look into
things like you know stocks and then get
dividends from that and that could be a
really good thing and then you gonna be
having the compound interest with that
as well all right wolf G is only getting
one dollar per 10,000 views wolf it's
probably got to do with the content
you're making and also where the people
who are watching your videos are coming
from so if you've watched any of my
videos on YouTube about my YouTube
Adsense and what I'm making and how much
I'm making it stuff like that
I go into the demographics and I talk
about the reason why advertisers are
willing to pay a little bit more money
for making the videos so for example
with my videos on my photography channel
that was you know you would get the
majority of people were from America but
then there was also a large group of
people from India and you can see that
maybe America might have a twenty dollar
CPM versus India which might have a two
dollar CPM and it's just simple kind of
economics here
the Americans have might have a little
bit more buying power because their
salaries are going to be higher and they
have a little bit more disposable income
versus Indians which who might have less
kind of disposable income where they can
spend you know $1,000 $2,000 $3,000 on a
camera so it's as simple as that
advertisers are going to be trying to
put their money and their kind of ads in
front of the people who've got enough
who've got more money so they're going
to be having a higher CPM generally on
countries like you know Australia United
Kingdom United States Canada Germany
things like that but let me let me know
what your channel is about Wulfgar you
know I see well maybe one of the reasons
why King Kay wants to know you reckon a
double-dip coming in a stock market well
I'm not sure actually I you know I've
been following it really closely and I
might even make some stock market
investing videos coming up because I've
been following it since well a long time
but especially very
intensely since March and February when
it really went down I think we could be
having is it called a dead cat bounce or
something like that where it bounces up
and then goes down again
I'm not sure if it's gonna happen I
think that this is already factored in
you know the the whole coronavirus thing
was very scary for a lot of people and
it is still scary but I think that the
market maybe has already kind of
factored in that it's it's happened and
maybe you know not all of the stocks are
going to be getting affected by that so
I'm pretty heavy in tech stocks
especially big tech so you know Amazon
Apple Microsoft Shopify Square things
like that they're not gonna get affected
as much as you know things like oil
stocks or energy stocks or travel and
leisure like cruises and Airlines and
things like that so you know I'm not
sure I I'm kind of hoping that maybe
we've seen that the worst of it it's a
little bit weird thinking about it I
think that for a while it'll it'll maybe
just kind of stay level for a while but
we'll see I don't know I don't think any
really nice bottle wants to know did my
CPM start already hired or did it
gradually grow it it started higher than
most people's channels I think I would
say because I mean I made videos for
about on this channel for about four or
yeah four or five months before I got
actually monetized and I think when I
was starting out I had around about a
CPM of around about 40 or 50 dollars I
can actually have a look here I'll bring
up my studio app and I'm not sure if you
better see it but let's have a look so
if I go to view more revenue oh you
can't see it on here can you
mm-hmm
I can't really show you but I can show
you my lifetime revenue on this this
channel so you can kind of see that
nothing happened here because I wasn't
uploading and then I started uploading
maybe at the end of 2018 and the views
were kind of
like maybe a thousand views a day but
the playback based CPM which you can't
see in here unfortunately it did start
it was pretty similar to this up growth
and then I did have a viral video it
went kind of viral it had 200,000 views
on it that was there and then it went
down a little bit and then as the
coronavirus hit actually my sybian went
down a little bit for maybe 2 or 3 weeks
and then it went back up again I think
it was because advertisers were pulling
out for a while and then they figured it
wasn't probably as bad as and it's back
up again so currently earning maybe $300
a day off this channel which is pretty
sweet
okay so movie elite wants to know how to
get into the algorithm and I actually
feel bad for not getting as much use as
my subscribers what's your opinion about
views I don't think it matters so much
about views I mean it's the quality of
the views and it's the quality of the
subscribers that you've got and whether
or not they're watching your videos all
the way through especially if you're
going to be having videos over 20
minutes over 10 minutes because you're
gonna be able to put more ads in I
wouldn't worry about getting picked up
in the algorithm so much I've never been
picked up in the algorithm I think like
I said I had that one viral video in
January and it got 200,000 views which
is nothing that was over that was over a
month or two but I always focus on just
getting picked up in search because if
you can get picked up in search then
you've got this constant flow of people
trying to find you but yeah and you know
getting as many views as your
subscribers it it you know I speak to so
many people who've been in YouTube for a
really long time and a lot of them even
my cell phone and I don't I don't really
care about this you know if on my other
channel I've got 400,000 subscribers but
if I only get like 3000 views on a video
I don't really care because of my other
videos which are already performing
really well so it doesn't really bother
me

Oh Rob let's let's see a question love
your affiliate program video it was
really useful any more you know about
since this video Rob I'm glad you like
that one I wasn't even sure if I was
gonna put that video out I might make
some more videos about affiliates
because I don't think there's many
people who are making legitimate videos
about affiliate marketing there's a
couple and income if you haven't I'll
give you a few few channels to follow if
you you you want because there are a lot
of dodgy affiliate people income school
is a really good channel who talk about
affiliate marketing again in a non
sketchy way it's two guys I think
they're from Utah or something like that
I'm not sure but they're they're really
good and they make a lot of good videos
Pat Flynn anything by Pat Flynn is
really good he's super trustworthy and
actually I thought I was watching his
video today he's been doing these income
stream live streams every day and that's
one of the reasons why I jumped on here
I was like oh you know it doesn't really
matter how many views I get at least
it's going to be me talking and doing
YouTube so Pat Flynn is fantastic who
else
Ryan scrubbing it's ryan school ryan
scribblin has made some good videos
about affiliate marketing and I really
like him
and maybe yeah those three those three
are really good so check that out
because I'll try and make some more
videos about affiliate marketing soon a
lot of people are also complaining at
the moment about the Amazon Associates
they've been changing their fees again
and they're really trying to kill off
the program I think it's pretty obvious
but to me it's actually not as bad as
everyone talks about it they're all like
pull you links out and stuff like that
I don't actually agree with that because
it's still a viable program for me it's
actually picked up a little bit in the
last month or two so it's probably not
as bad as people think and I still think
that the Amazon Associates Program is
really good for starters
yeah there was a major pivot in this in
my channel it's like I've always made
videos about photography and cameras but
after talking about it for five or six
years and just got a little bit tired of
talking about cameras so these this
channel here and my other channel is all
about making kind of online income
passive income of money from YouTube and
affiliate marketing and things like that
and personal finance see there's my
actually I get this reminder right here
that the US markets are opening so like
I said I'm pretty heavily invested with
the stock market right now so we'll see
if we we open up on a high or we open up
on a lope get your bets in its the
market gonna go up on the open or gonna
go down I think it's gonna go up but I'm

how quickly did you start seeing money
from the Shopify affiliate program was
it before you monetized did it surprise
you I can actually show you that as well
I made my first video from I made my
first video about the about Shopify in
October or November of 2018 and then I
can show you when I made my first I
remember I made 50 bucks and I was super
stoked about it in the the Shopify
affiliate program and that's one
actually that has been affected by the
coronavirus which is really funny
because Shopify itself should be
performing really well and they are
performing really well but they've
changed that they've changed their
cookies so it's now sorry they haven't
change the cookie they've changed their
free trial so it's now a 90 day free
trial if you sign up for Shopify um
sorry my voice is going a bit I'm not
you see I'm not used to talking on
YouTube I need to get back into this get
good at it if I'll show you here in my
lifetime earnings on Shopify so here's
the back end
kind of let me do it sorry I'm a bit
slow here but like I said this is gonna
be super informal so alright so these
are the clicks unique clicks on Shopify
so that's the amount of people who
coming through my videos and getting to
Shopify then we have the trial signups
so we've had seven thousand six hundred
and forty four people become a Shopify
trial member and you can see that there
is really consistent growth so again
like the first okay actually you can see
this so I've got 124 clicks or 286
clicks in October 2018 and this month
for example I've had three thousand
three hundred and seventy three clicks
so it's big difference then paid
conversions a paid conversion is
essentially when someone does the trial
and then they end up becoming a member
like a paid member so again in October
2018 which is the first month I guess
where I made that video I had 10
conversions which is pretty good to
start off with and then for example in
January I had 99 conversions and then
these are the earnings and you can see
again it's a pretty consistent uptrend
which is nice
apart from April which I've pretty much
had like a 1/2 oh yeah I've made yeah
I've made about half of what I would
normally make in that month and like I
said I think that is because they're
doing that kind of 90 day trial where
you don't get paid until they've done
then or most people are going to not pay
until the 90 days is over so yeah all
right Bryan says

all of the stocks that I hold Apple was

Microsoft is at one point four five
Shopify's down point two six percent
it'll come back such a strong stock I
own a ATF which is tqq it's a triple
leveraged kind of Nasdaq fund that's up
5.9% mm-hm and it squares up to point
nine six percent so that's cool it's
quite fun watching this you guys can
kind of see that's what it looks like
that's what my app looks like nice to
see it when it's all green like that

with your hustle store what is the best
platform to use for print on demand so I
think you're talking about the
entrepreneur t-shirt store that was an
experiment I did and I really enjoyed
doing it
printful is fantastic printful is
fantastic for a few reasons
they've got they've got print on demand
kind of warehouses in both America and
Europe so if you are in Europe its own
orders in Europe they don't have to
in general they don't gonna have to pay
customs duties to get them imported
which can be a huge deal so because I
live in Sweden for example and anything
that comes in from America or China or
Australia I have to pay an extra 25
percent toll on that which is ridiculous
but that's kind of how it is so it can
be really useful for that and also
delivery times are much quicker the
other thing is I've got a ton of
different products which are available
so not only t-shirts but you know
hoodies and yoga pants and backpacks and
all of that and their website works
really well it integrates really well
with Shopify the only thing I don't like
is that you kind of have to fund your
account so whereas if you use something
like tea spring or no tea spring or I
can't write a spring for example
generally with those you don't have to
actually fund the account you just put
it up you put your t-shirt up and then
if someone buys your t-shirt you just
get a profit of it so you just get the
profit with printful it's a little bit
more you put like a thousand dollars
into your printable wallet and then as
people buy money gets taken out of that
it's a little bit confusing but I would
I would recommend printful for most
people can you suggest the best of the
best affiliate programs for 1000k
youtubers it depends on what you're
going to be making your videos on and
what you're going to be promoting so if
you're going to be promoting cameras I'd
recommend Amazon
if you're going to be promoting websites
I'd promote a hosting service so for
example I'm also a affiliate with
Bluehost and it's funny because Bluehost
was alright almost slipped Bluehost was
really slow started with me I've got one
you know promoting WordPress and
Bluehost and it's had maybe 10,000 views
on it but it's seen a huge uptake in the
last month or two
where where where it is now I'm almost
getting one or two sales every single
day and those those referrals are like
$85 each one which is huge so Bluehost
is really good so maybe check out you
know Bluehost or site ground or
Hostgator maybe for their affiliate
programs if you want to be doing
promoting hosting which would be good if
you're going to be doing a blog or
you're gonna be promoting online income
and things like that Rob says thanks

you get a recurring fee I agree with the
Rob exactly I mean there are other other
affiliate programs that you can

either although an affiliate with them
but I don't promote them because I don't
know I probably should actually but
don't avoid Amazon too much if there's a
natural way of doing Amazon I'd still do
it and you've got to think if people are
pulling out of the Amazon program it's
only gonna be more traffic that you're
gonna be able to get to Amazon but
you're totally right Amazon don't need
the affiliate program anymore 20 years
ago when they started they needed the
affiliate program they're so big now
everyone just goes to Amazon so yeah

which is crazy do you think there is a
difference advantage if you're at least
10 videos in one day or you upload them
gradually let's say one video every 3
days thanks again it's only gonna make a
difference if you have a big subscriber
base so the reason for that is that
let's say you've got no subscribers it's
not going to make a difference because
people are going to find you through
search or they're gonna find you through
recommended so it's not going to make a
difference but if you've got a
subscriber base of say you know a
thousand people or ten thousand people
or whatever you can get more views if
you space them out so say every week or
whatever so you're gonna get a higher
view velocity from the start so that's
probably when I would do that but really
it doesn't make a difference if you go
for search yeah maybe I can make it
unlisted I'm not sure we'll see ok

money generally like depending on which
payment provider it's with so for
example if I pays into PayPal and then
from PayPal I transfer that to a
company's bank account YouTube pays
through directly to the bank account so
you don't have to do any transfers
Bluehost pays through PayPal Amazon
Associates pays directly into my US bank
account because they're like they're the
worst they just don't do like proper
wires if you're outside of America here
I better not do it drunk and how do you
spend it cash for example and how do you
do taxes so yeah like I said
everything's done through my company now
it used to be directly through me is
like a sole proprietor or sole trader
but now it's all done through my company
so you know I paid twenty seven point
five or thirty percent company tax on
that and then just pay myself dividends

can make a video about that because I
know for a lot of people that's super
confusing they're like okay I'm making
all this money what do I do
do I pay tax on it but it's on the
internet and things like that anyway yes
you do but there are a lot of different
strategies and things like that so yeah
but girlfriends home had to go to the
bedroom because I didn't want to
