The Epiphany Bridge Story - Russel Brunson's New Sales Script He Shared At Funnel Hacking Live 2017

and in this video we are going to talk
about the Epiphany bridge script which
is a concept that russell brunson shared
at the funnel hacking live conference
here in dallas in 2017 and it's really a
concept that I first got and that he
borrowed from Michael Haig who is kind
of a big-time Hollywood script
consultant and the whole theory about
this is that stories sell if we're
trying to pitch our products or our
services based on like the data or the
technobabble
or the ingredients or the just the
benefits it's going to miss people on
the emotional level right if we're just
using logic and we're saying here's why
you need what we have it will do this
for you it will do that for you it's
going to miss the heart level and we
have to get the heart level engaged
which means we have to get their
emotions engaged we have to get them
emotionally involved in order for them
to have the true desire in order to
purchase that which we are offering to
them and this does come down all the way
to your opt-ins I don't think this is
just a sales letter thing although it is
but every phase your selling ideas cover
that in the last video so as you're
selling any idea taking this kind of an
approach is going to get much better
results because you're going to get the
logic and the heart both engaged and
when that happens they're much more
likely there's no internal conflict
between them and they're more likely to
take that action okay so again the
concept is that stories sell right the
data is not going to sell and this is
all going to be out in Russells new book
that comes out in April 18th but I took
note for you here at the event so I'm
going to give this to you early you're
gonna give this a couple of months early
and you can implement it before everyone
else learns it and runs with it because
this is really powerful and again the
whole concept is based on tell more of
your story tell how you got the Epiphany
that got you to where you are and do so
in a very kind of specific way and
that's ultimately going to be kind of
the best content you can put out there
so what what are the steps right there's
actually six steps and we're going to go
through them now I got a little notepad
with everything on it and I'm just going
to share this with you exact takeaway
from the conference here so the first
thing you need to do is the backstory
and this needs to be about 10% of the
total
duration so if you write like a two-page
script 20 percent of that first page is
that's it right you don't want to do a
long backstory in the backstory you talk
about the challenges you talk about the
character this is where you introduce
the attractive character idea and you
set up two different goals at this point
there's an internal goal right there's
like something I'm doing for my heart
and there's an external goal so for
someone in internet marketing that could
be as simple as you know I really felt
like I needed to make 10 grand a month
so I could take care of my family and
have that time freedom but really it was
about that time freedom it's about
spending more time with my family it's
about being able to pick up my kids from
school every day it's about being able
to have complete location independence
right so the external goal is that 10
grand a month the internal goal is that
freedom level whether it's the kids
thing or the living anywhere in the
world whatever it would be for you so
you kind of set up that backstory quick
and then you embark on the journey right
we all embark on the journey and we
start going towards the goal the best we
can at this point you hit a wall there
is some sort of obstacle in your way
that is like an insurmountable challenge
that gets you to check your face on this
like man do I really kind of really do
this like I thought I thought I was
going on the path but boy this wall is
almost independent impenetrable excuse
me and then at this point step number 3
you have an epiphany this is why it's
called the Epiphany bridge script and
this is what you're sharing and this
epiphany is the aha moment you have of a
ha if I do it this way and this way then
I'm around that roadblock and I'm back
on the path at this point so if you're
in the dating niche for example right so
the backstory is that you can't get
dates you really want to get dates and
ultimately you want to find the love of
your life external internal goal the
journey starts you out dating and it's
an absolute flop you say all the wrong
things you can't meet anybody your dates
are just terrible and annoying and then
you have an epiphany and you realize
that it's not about the way you are
doing it it's about the way you started
doing it and that's when things change
number 4 step 4 is to create a plan so
once you have that epiphany you create a
specific plan and ultimately it's the
plan that you're selling them right you
show them that you had this aha moment
in your story then you created a plan
and then it
and what we're selling them is
essentially your plan that worked for
you so once you create the plan you move
forward you have conflict we need
conflict becomes conflict engages people
emotionally look at every great movie
out there in Hollywood ever and part of
the reason they touch on this why the
Hollywood screenwriter guy is really who
this is all who Russell kind of copied
it from it's because Hollywood scripts
are so good at this Hollywood scripts
engage good Hollywood scripts by the way
engage human beings on an emotional
level and they get people to forget
their problems they get people to kind
of have this timeless moment and getting
caught up in the story and feeling like
they're a part of the story and when you
do this for your visitors in a similar
way they have this kind of emotional
engagement with them with you excuse me
the storyteller and they become more
personally kind of tied to your story
and they see themselves going through
what you're going through they see
themselves eventually creating their own
plan and going through the process and
when you have them having that feeling
of being with you on a story
they're already there they've already
crossed a big mental barrier if you will
so again step four was create a plan
step five is the conflict you have to
have some conflict on the path because
this kind of like builds the emotion
right no hero ever has a very very
smooth journey straight up up up that's
it it's always like this you've heard it
in my story I've had so many challenges
and I share of these challenges I don't
try to hide them from you I don't try to
act perfect I let you know that business
is one two three four five and six over
the course of six or seven years all
came crumbling down right and that's
okay for me to share that it makes me
human and relatable because if you've
ever tried something that doesn't work
you're like okay I'm not alone and I can
figure it out because this other guy did
and then finally number six we have the
achievement and transformation and the
reason there's two components of gold of
part number six which is achievement in
transformation is because there's an
internal and an external achievement so
achievement is you know I'm now making
the ten grand a month type story but the
transformation is the person you became
in the process I'm now a better family
member I'm now able to go to every pen
a teacher association meeting I take my
kids to school I pick my kids up from
school every single day or I'm able to
live from anywhere in the world I paid
off my student loans from a beaches in
Costa Rica and Mexico true story by the
way so it's at that internal experience
and the internal transformation and the
external achievement really quickly I'm
going to run through the steps one
through six in case you didn't catch
them smoothly number one is the
backstory in which we establish two
goals there is an external goal and an
internal goal right a physical and an
emotional goal number two we embark on
the journey towards the external goal
hold towards the goal of achievement 3
we have an epiphany on this path number
4 we create a plan based on that
epiphany number 5 we engage with
conflict when we're attempting to
execute our plan and number 6 we achieve
the goal and we transform as people and
when you're stories follow this very
very basic and very simple formula
you're going to find out that your
readers your viewers are going to engage
in a major way now in the next coming
weeks and month I'm going to work on
building this story out for myself so
I'm going to take you along on that
journey with me as I build this story
for myself and I want to talk to you a
lot more about Michael heggs
ideas and again this is who russell
brunson borrowed the idea from and if
you're taking anything from this even
russell brunson is just literally taking
ideas from other people's info products
repackaging them putting his own title
on them and essentially reselling them
at high-dollar high ticket events to
thousands of people at once so it really
proves there are no new ideas we are all
kind of standing on the shoulders of
giants so let that kind of be an
interesting learning lesson for you at
the same time but I want to talk more
about Michael Haig more about the
scripts more about how Hollywood does
things to get people emotionally engaged
because that's really powerful or
powerful for you I want to help you
become a better storyteller because when
you become a better storyteller
everything in your business works better
