strategy is the how-to okay strategy is
the game plan
it's the techniques it's the roadmap
it's the blueprint it's the easy it's
the sequence oftentimes you get the
strategy by getting that from others
that have already been through it
they've already you know gone through
the journey it's almost like if you want
to get from A to Z you can try to figure
out this you know the path the map to
buy a map or you can learn from someone
that's already been there they can show
you the wrote the fastest wrote possible
for you to be able to achieve your
outcome so strategy is very important
that's oftentimes what you buy courses
trainings seminars events you're
learning the strategy I I'm always after
the strategy I never try to reinvent the
wheel if I want to learn Facebook Ads
I'm just gonna find the strategy I'm
gonna find someone that's got a good
course on that buy it go through the
videos of training learn from them maybe
hire them for coaching or go to an event
a seminar whatever that might be okay
now the strategy all of you guys for the
most part have you know our list might
not be clear based on your specific
model but you have a lot of strategy
already whether it's affiliate marketing
mastery many of you guys have been
through some of my trainings already or
you have access to it now let me ask you
a lot of people have this strategy but
don't necessarily get results why yes
and that comes down to mindset that if
you have the strategy but you don't have
the right mindset then they're gonna be
held back
you're not gonna implement the strategy
of what you learn and that's why so many
people they can buy all the courses the
trainings go to the seminars the events
all of that but not unless they have the
right mindset then everything else isn't
gonna work that's why this is the
foundation because if I share with you
all the other cool stuff that most
people go after that's what they buy
okay I want to learn you know this or
that or that you know I want to learn
how to just make money or whatever but
if you don't have the right mindset or
strategy it's not going to be effective
so that's why this is always the
foundation I think this for me is the
core of what's allowed me to be able to
build where I am today
it's because I spent years before I
actually even got into online business
doing self development learning mindset
because I already had to conquer an area
of my life that was way harder to
conquer than my business which was my
own personal confidence and beliefs and
social skills and relationships that
took way more for me to be able to
conquer building a business was easy in
comparison to that you know and with the
mindset the mindsets Universal the
mindset is applicable to every other
area of your life once you've got the
success mindset down you transfer that
to every other aspect whether you're
doing a fitness you want to change your
body the mindset the principles are the
same whether you want to build a
business whether you want to build a
great relationship a lot of those
principles are the same
so once success and wonder of your life
it's much easier to have that transfer
if you transfer the mindset to those
other areas of your life as well does
that make sense so let's go over mindset
because that's that's a topic that is a
big one what is the mindsets what is the
mindset that you need in order for you
to be successful in building your
business so just name the qualities
traits mindsets so positive attitude
okay great and what else is there great
what else dedication does someone say
belief what else
what is it that you you need more of in
yourself or maybe what you've observed
from other people you might respect or
people that are successful great great
motivation
dolphin is great yes what else
so that would be just maybe not being
affected or how do you mean by dealing
with them so it would be the quality or
the mindset that you would have around
that be empowering courage great
committed boundaries that could be a
disempowering one too right but
commitment without a doubt so let me
give you guys a few more how about just
the growth mindset that if you have the
mindset of always growing no matter what
right if you're always growing if you're
always learning that's one thing that
the most successful people haven't calm
and they're always learning always
trying to improve how about this one
patience just having the patience you
know how about this one
enjoying the journey how about this one
adding value not necessarily just
focusing on yourself because in order to
succeed in business you got to focus on
others because in order to make money
you've got to have transactions with
other people and if you're focused on
adding value to other people do you
think you're gonna make a lot more money
than just focusing on yourself of course
so that's one of the key ingredients
right there the key mindset and this is
also a shift that you have to make
oftentimes from being an employee to
being an entrepreneur oftentimes when
you're an employee you're in a value
extractor mind sets while you're focused
on extracting value from your employer
not everyone but this is just the common
mindset that often because you know your
focus more under maybe yourself
maybe you're adding value to the company
but maybe it's more about your own
agenda or it's more about you know
punching it at a certain time and you
know you're looking at the clock through
at work I know at least it was for me
when I used to have a job and then when
you become an entrepreneur you don't get
paid for your time you don't get paid
for your time as an entrepreneur it
doesn't matter if you work 40 hours 60
hours in a week you're not guaranteed a
certain amount of money based on that
you're only paid for the value that you
provide that's that's what you get paid
for you provide value to someone else by
creating a product or service that they
perceive it has value to them then they
pay for that and the way it works in
business is you always have to give more
value than what you get back at least if
you want to build a long-term
relationship with that person and a
raving fan culture right that if you
just hey you know what this yeah I'll
give you $50 of value and you give me
$50
you know $50 back that can be in
transaction on that but if you want to
build long term you got to give more
than that and then have them pay you for
that in fact there was actually a really
cool I'll share this with you guys
a really cool study that was done that
really demonstrates this so what they
did was they took two people and they
had two people and person a was given
$100 okay a hundred bucks
and person B got to decide what's got to
decide on the amount that they'd be able
to split between those two people okay
and then other person we're gonna decide
whether that's fair or not and if it is
then they both get that if not then
nobody gets it so what they found for
example is that you know me and Kenny
someone gives us a hundred bucks and
they say well Kenny you get to decide
what the split is so oftentimes I'll say
okay pool fifty-fifty that's fair you
get 50 bucks I get fifty bucks
and then I say yeah you know that's fair
so we both get the money but what
happens for some people as they say to
themselves well this is a hundred bucks
and this guy you know is lucky to get
anything so I'm gonna take 70 and I'll
he can have 30 now this other person
even though we've never met before
there's no relationship what they found
is that even though I don't know each
other the other person will say you know
what even though this is three thirty
dollars that had never had before I
can't stand to see the other guy get the
better at the end of the deal so we both
get nothing and so what they found is
they actually thought you know maybe
this is just something that is because
in North America it's not a lot of money
then they went to third world countries
where in some cases $30 or $100 could be
several months of earnings and the exact
same thing would happen because we all
have what is called a selfish gene I'm
not sure if you heard of that book
before even for example one one way that
they I've heard they hunt monkeys as
little put in a tree they'll be a hole
in the tree and then the monkey will go
and there'll be a nut or something in
the tree and I'll grab it but when it's
grabbing onto it it can't pull its hand
out but the monkey won't let go of it it
has that selfish part of itself that
refuses to let go and so the hunter can
come and kill it because it's not
willing to let go and human beings we
all kind of have that a part of
ourselves and so one thing you got to
literally learn in your business is to
be comfortable getting the short end of
the stick that if you're gonna sell it
provide something and you're gonna
charge $100 for it or $20 be focused on
giving them $100 worth of value or
you know maybe double that 10 times that
value because really what you want is
that when someone comes across your
product or service or your business if
you know Jamie was you know making
something available I'd want it to be
like you know what this Jamie guy's not
that smart because he's giving me all of
this value and I'm like I'm kind of
ripping him off right that's the
transactions that you want so that's
kind of the way that I always think
about it in business is being okay
getting the shorter end of the stick and
over-delivering trying to provide more
value if you could do that I think you
can prosper you very very well yes yes
you know that's actually how I built my
brand is I just focus on giving so much
some of my videos I put out over the
years I've done that like thousands now
but you know an hour long and I could
even probably sell them as products if I
wanted to but I've just given them away
and just always trying to add value
because in doing so I'm I know I'm
helping people but also I'm building
raving fans and making a difference and
I know that the money will follow that
the money will come people will sign up
for product services that's why I've
actually not had to really focus too
much on a lot of marketing stuff because
I've been such a good job at building so
much trust which is the hardest thing to
have attention and Trust are the two
most valuable things they have online
okay getting attention and then building
that trust so key mindset any anything
else you guys can think of
taking action is a mindset how about how
about this one how about focus not
getting distracted focusing on one thing
how about this one about completion not
just starting something it's easy to
start something but how about finishing
it completing it to the end
who here has got things that started
never completed okay all been there
where there's a book I've started books
I haven't yet finished them I've started
projects and goals I haven't yet
finished them but if you can complete
more frequently then you're gonna be
more likely to achieve there's one core
mindset that I often have and teach
which is called the mastery mindset the
mastery mentality and I already shared a
little bit of that with you guys but one
thing I often differentiate is there's a
dabbler and then there's a master and
the dabbler oftentimes is that person
that is looking for the quick fix the
person that just wants to get rich quick
the person that doesn't want to put in
the time the work there may be
short-term thinking oftentimes you know
what limits them to is an ego of them
thinking they know at all they already
know this but again you're not really
know something unless you're doing it
another core one is repetition right the
dabbler thing say if I just do this once
once is enough
the master understands that repetition
is the mother of mastery that the more
you do it again and again and again I
mean if you want to look at the top
athletes in the world or the top masters
out there they're the Masters because of
the repetition right they didn't just
shoot the ball one time they practice
again and again and again and again and
again until someone you know so often
that it's been internalized as a part of
themselves Bruce Lee says I do not fear
the man who's practiced 10,000 kicks
once I fear the man that's practiced one
kick 10,000 times this that rep people
often times a dabbler they're always
looking for the newness the new
technique the new strategy
the shiny object syndrome right instead
of going deep going deep not staying at
the surface you got to go deep and
really master what you've learned
whether it's you learn you know a new
strategy in your business where there's
Amazon going deep with that eliminating
all other distractions really going deep
and mastering that if it's you know
Facebook ads or SEO or a certain
strategy it can help and serve your
business going deep with that not just
at the surface if you go deep that's
where the results and the rewards will
be as well
