hey what's up guys Stefan here from

project life mastery comm and I've got a

great question that want to answer for

you guys today it's a great question

because I think there's a lot of people

that think this way it might be a

question or a thought that's in the back

of your mind you might be thinking it as

you watch some of my videos or podcasts

or other people out there as well I know

I used to think this when I first

started learning from other people and

it usually is a question that comes to

people in a position like myself where

you're a content creator an influencer a

public persona some of that's creating

educational courses products trainings

resources services charging money for it

or even just giving it away for free and

it's usually around maybe building a

business or achieving some sort of gold

result whatever it might be the question

is Stefan if you're so successful in

your life and you're doing so well and

you're making so much money or this

opportunity is so great or this is

working so well for you or this person

that you're interviewing if they're so

successful then why would they share

that why would they share that why

wouldn't they just keep all of that to

themselves why would they share their

knowledge their secrets their strategies

their tactics these opportunities why

wouldn't they just just selfishly keep

all of that to themselves so that they

can prosper because it's almost based on

the presupposition or belief that the

more people this opportunity is so great

then the more people that know about

this opportunity that it's gonna lessen

the opportunity in some way or it's not

going to be as effective as it once was

or you know by sharing this it's gonna

create more competition and the more

competition it is it's gonna be harder

for that person or it's gonna mean less

money for them or something along those

lines and there are some people out

there that are very skeptical they

believe that you know that person must

have a hidden agenda it's too good to be

true there is trying to make money right

or they can't fully believe or buy into

it because oftentimes when you have

skepticism which is all fear when you're

skeptical of something even though this

opportunity could be amazing could be

true could be real could change their

life if you're skeptical you're not

gonna benefit from it in any way right

because your belief is not gonna lie

- and you're gonna filter all these

different experiences through that great

question I love this and I'm gonna share

with you guys my perspective my belief

around this I believe that this is all

scarcity mentality it's all fear-based

it's based on the belief that there's

only so much available it's limited life

is not limited business is not limited

there's more than enough opportunity for

everybody that's my belief I choose to

have more of an abundance mentality that

there's more than enough available so

first understand not everyone's

operating from scarcity and often people

that are in scarcity in their life or

they might be desperate in their life

they have a hard time seeing or

believing that so I think a lot of it is

based on fear and I can give you guys a

great example in a relationship I

remember a mentor of mine gave me this

green analogy that I never forgot a man

or woman in the relationship is almost

like a butterfly just landed in your

hands and that butterfly is beautiful

you want to appreciate it you want to

enjoy it you want to cherish it and you

might want to curl up your fingers a

little bit just to protect it from the

wind now the reality and the truth is

that butterfly could fly away it could

leave you the person that you're with

and there's a lot of people out there

that don't like that idea

they have scarcity and fear in their

life and so therefore they try to close

their fists and keep keep that butterfly

there they try to become protective and

dominant and controlling and jealous and

they have fear and scarcity around that

person leaving them maybe they believe

there's no one else out there better to

get jealous at any chance and that

person is talking to anyone else or when

they leave the house and sure enough if

you have that thinking and that scarcity

and that fear that will destroy that

relationship that will that butterfly

will leave or they're not going to feel

secure and it's not going to be a

prosperous healthy relationship when you

have that scarcity thinking your fist is

closed there could be new opportunities

that present themselves right here the

even better than the one that you might

have but you're not gonna see it you're

not gonna be open to it you're already

closed off to what the world I'll world

and opportunities that are available to

you so instead you just have to

appreciate it you always have to have an

open hand always be open never closed

yourself off and that butterfly could

leave but when your hand is open there's

new opportunities that can flow into you

there's abundance you're not threatened

or or fearful of that because the only

way that someone will stay with you is

when they're free to leave you give them

that choice you give them that freedom

it's when they're free to stay that's

when they stay when they're free to

leave rather that's when they stay so

that's just a great analogy I think this

kind of shows that the difference of

scarcity and abundance in life and the

reality is is not everyone is just

trying to make money some people they're

not driven by money some people they

want to make a difference they want to

serve they want to help people even at

their own expense not everybody is

selfish in their life and this wants to

keep everything or just make as much

money for themselves there's a lot of

joy and happiness and fulfillment that

comes when you serve something greater

than yourself when you contribute beyond

yourself because oftentimes people that

are successful in their doing well they

come to the realization which you can

only really come to you when you

experience it the realization is is that

money is not really gonna make you happy

it's not and when you make a lot of

money that's when you realize wow I made

a lot great I made a lot of money but

what's more fulfilling is when you serve

something greater I've got a mentor of

mine that once says Stefan you'll never

be great in life when you only focus on

yourself the only way to become great in

life is when you focus on serving

something greater than yourself and

there's a lot of people that have

evolved their consciousness I guess you

know you could say it that way to a

point where it's not all about that and

it

a lot of people that earn that scarcity

thinking they just think everyone's just

trying to make money and it's kind of

generalized all people like that you

know for myself do I want to make money

of course I do you know I want to make

money as much money as I possibly can I

want to be financially abundant I've got

financial goals I want to achieve a

certain lifestyle I want to be able to

take care of my kids one day and my

grandkids and my my parents and my

family may be able to contribute to

charities and organizations and be able

to take that money and reinvest it in my

business and hire more people and

provide and support a greater team that

can allow project life mastery to serve

even more people in the world you know

or I want to be able to grow and improve

myself there's nothing wrong with making

money you know so some people say well

Stefan is just trying to make money yeah

of course I am of course I am there's no

way that I could possibly do what I do

in my business if I didn't make money a

business has to make money that's the

the number one go on purpose of any

business out there the tens of thousands

of dollars of camera equipment that I

have that's got to come from somewhere

I can't support creating three videos

and podcasts and blog posts and have an

amazing team that allows me to do what I

do

my business did not make money so of

course I want to make money just like

I'm sure you probably want to make money

too you want to do well in your life as

well there's nothing wrong with that if

you could be more abundant with your

health and have better health and should

you of course if you could be happier

than should you be happier of course if

you can be more spiritual than should

you of course if you could have a better

relationship then should you of course

and if you can make more money then

should you of course it's no different

than being any any more abundant than

any other aspect of your life but a lot

of people understand that not everyone

is just driven by money I'm driven by

money but I'm much more driven by

contribution I'm much more driven to

help people and serve people because I

believe that the more I contribute and

help people the more that the money

follows to me that if you want to build

a brand if you want to build a

reputation if you want to build trust if

you want to build something great you

can't just be focused on making money

because the money is only a byproduct of

creating value in the in the world and

in the marketplace creating products

services that have value that's what the

money follows I want to have been able

to build

brand to do what I do for over six plus

years if I was just focused on money you

know I remember one time excuse me

one point in my journey I had this

successful blogger reach out to me

someone I looked up to a lot and we got

together and he said Stefan you could be

making so much more money than you're

making right now you really can and he

shared with me this opportunity that I

kid you not I could be making five times

more money in my business than I am

right now and I'm doing doing great but

five times more is crazy for me right

now and I can make that but the problem

was it would have been not in alignment

with what my mission is it was like this

multi-level marketing thing and even

though I could have made more money if I

was just driven by money and not

contribution I would have jump at that

in a heartbeat

but because I'm more driven to

contribute make a difference this

opportunity that could have made me more

money would have been at the expense of

the difference that I want to make the

trust the relationship my brand my

reputation and I wasn't willing to

jeopardize that in any way you know when

you when I operate from I want to serve

people I want to meet people's needs I

want to create quality products quality

services that can truly help people make

a difference sure I want to charge money

for that because obviously to create

something like that requires a lot of

work a lot of time a lot of money having

a team all that that goes into that but

of course I want to make a profit for

myself too so that I can be rewarded for

the hard work that I put in just like

any other business owner does as well

but again it's always with the intent

and the focus of serving others okay

that's the big breakthrough here when

you're building a business that is

focused on serving you're not operating

from fear and scarcity you're not

worried about all those sort of things

that a lot of people worry about you're

gonna you're gonna build a brand in the

marketplace that is gonna be prosperous

you're gonna do well in your life I

operate from the belief that Zig Ziglar

says if you help enough people get what

they want then you too can have what you

wants that in order to have more you

must give more you must contribute more

now contribution is a hard concept for

people and a scarcity mentality to

really grasp because when you're

operating from fear and scarcity you're

trying to hold on what to what you got

you got you feel like you got nothing to

give you don't want to let go of

anything there's so much attachments to

what you have and that's what you got to

free yourself from so understands I

guess the message is not everybody has

scarcity in their life not everybody is

selfish there's people out there that

want to serve and make a difference and

help people and that's why I do what I

do if you know if I just wanted to make

money there's a million other businesses

and things that I could do that are a

lot easier than putting myself on camera

and doing YouTube videos and doing all

the sort of stuff that I'm doing here

trust me there's a lot of other

opportunities I could put my time into

you but I do what I do because I love it

because I want to make a difference in

the world that because I've been through

problems and challenges in my life the

knack there's a natural progression

always when you go through problems

adversity challenges you've been

desperate financially health emotional

whatever it is and it took you so much

to overcome that took me so much guys

you have no idea nobody will ever really

truly know what I had to go through to

get to where I'm at today I could talk

about I could share stories and stuff

but nobody will really know except for

myself but to overcome that the time the

money the stress the frustration that

long hours burning the midnight oil the

sacrifices that I had to make to

overcome that when you finally overcome

it you solve that problem in your life

you over can't you overcome it there's

often so much emotion associated to that

that's that becomes a passion of yours

and naturally when you've overcome that

you've learned so much to overcome it

and you've achieved something now great

that you want to help other people to

prevent them from going through what you

went through you don't want them to

suffer and go through it cuz you know

what it's like I know what it's like

I've been there that's what creates the

passion that I have to do what I do and

share what I you know I remember when I

went through binge eating disorder was

one of the most painful things I ever

went through is so hard did

the oath that addiction man I I thought

I had willpower and discipline that was

not enough

it was man it was took so much I have to

read books and learn and so many nights

where I was crying myself to sleep and I

was just horrible going through that and

I was trying to compete in a fitness

competition it's created a lot of pain

in my life I remember saying to myself

one day when I overcome this I'm gonna

teach and help other people so they

don't have to go through what I went

through it would almost be selfish if I

didn't it's like here you know what's

great about this world is that there's

other people out there that have been

through these challenges and they've

created books and courses and training

they've decided to share you know how to

overcome these things you can overcome

anything in your life because there's

other people out there that have done it

because they had the courage the courage

the abundance to decide hey you know

what I'm gonna share this whether you

know it's Allen Carr who thought was

smoking and he created his easy way to

stop smoking books so other people can

stop smoking imagine if he didn't share

that with anybody

imagine if he said I'm just gonna keep

that all to myself we're imagine if you

know Jeff Bezos or Warren Buffett or

Bill Gates or these other people out

there Richard Branson they decided not

to publish you know Richard Branson

publishing his books to try to help

other entrepreneurs out there you know

if we lived in just a selfish world

where everybody had that scarcity

mentality then man that'd be a really

really ugly place to be in but it's

because of people that have overcome

these and then decided to create

something I believe that that's my gift

I believe spiritually that my Creator

has given me these problems and

challenges because God is not interested

in my convenience he's interested in my

character and who I become that what you

know what I am is a gift from God and

who I become as a gift that I give back

to God that's my spiritual beliefs and

so therefore these problems I've been

through or actually gifts and blessings

in my life because I because overcoming

them then allows me to help other people

that's how I believe that's how I

operate

that's why I'm so passionate

do what I do and to share what I share

so when someone says oh you're just

trying to make money yeah I am trying to

make money because I want to do well in

my life but that's not my motivate

that's not my primary motivate motivator

in my life I've got many other

motivators

I want to serve I want to help I want to

make a difference I want to improve

myself to be the best that I can be and

make a difference because at the end of

the day to a lot of people they don't

have a lot of money won't realize this

is that money isn't gonna make you happy

it's not having more money isn't really

gonna change someone's life that much if

they're already successful and already

have money you know for me at this point

in my life I mean there's maybe more

stuff that I might want but right now as

you guys know I'm selling everything I'm

selling my car I'm moving out of this

pent house I'm living out of a suitcase

I'm not attached to materialistic things

I can live without that that's why every

year or so I go to Ethiopia or Nicaragua

or El Salvador and I live with I live on

the floor of a poor family in the middle

of nowhere so I can always remember

myself that it's not about money or

materialistic stuff now life is much

greater than that and it's learning how

to appreciate everything and not having

your happiness even be defined or

associated based on how much money you

have because really more money at this

point for me is just more money that I

can put into a bank account more money

that I could buy stocks or real estate

that I'll probably never see or touch

because it's just gonna compound over my
