hey miles Bechtler here and in this
video we're gonna look at the results
from my 90-day youtube video marketing
challenge so today is and this is video
number 90 in 90 days I've been
publishing to my channel here every day
I started with an empty Channel and
really I'm doing this for a couple of
reasons number one was to break down a
personal barrier I had myself convinced
that wasn't a Content create or well
ninety videos later I guess that lie has
has passed away at this point and number
two is I want to show the power of this
90-day kind of challenge idea and if you
stick with something I really didn't use
any nothing fancy here at all I'm
recording on screencast-o-matic on a
Windows laptop
I think screencast-o-matic 15 bucks and
the other videos I recorded we're on my
cell phone so very very simple stuff
anyone can do this and the big challenge
in building an online business can be
traffic right where do we get this
start from Ground Zero and build up an
audience and some traffic so I could
show you how it works to helpfully
motivate you to do a 90 day challenge
this isn't my first 90 day challenge my
wife and I have a very successful couple
of websites but I didn't want to use
those that we've been working on for
several years as the examples to help
you understand how to build your
business how to build an audience and
how to drive traffic online so I went
back to square one and I started from
zero so let's jump in and start to look
at some of let's look at what happened
right so the first place we're gonna go
is right here to YouTube and you can see
I now have 134 subscribers and in total
there's been over 3,800 views now what's
really exciting is both of these numbers
have been growing much more quickly in
the last couple of weeks I believe fate
or excuse me I believe YouTube kind of
is may be hesitant to show a new channel
on all of its search results and to rank
it highly on its search results but it
seems like I crossed some sort of a
proverbial threshold here maybe the last
two weeks and the videos that I'm
posting up you can see right here these
are my newest videos
46 views in the first 21 hours
21:22 views 38 views and then this one
had five views so not every not every
video has been a hit you can see some of
my best view videos here in total just
over three hundred and thirty views and
the great thing about all these videos
that I put together is that they are
their lifetime assets these are gonna
continue to drive traffic every day in
either a small medium big way little by
little whether I continue to post or not
and I'm really enjoying the process of
sharing what I know and creating the
videos so I'm absolutely gonna keep this
process up so let's go a little deeper
right let's go into the analytics inside
of YouTube and you're gonna start to see
right here now this is only showing the
last 30 days let me set this out the
lifetime real quick and you'll see when
I started my gmail account was I don't
know five six years ago and I've posted
no videos until literally 90 days ago
and that's when it started and you could
see it really just spikes up in that
short time since that's not very
noticeable on what that trend is here is
the 90 day kind of totals so over 15,000
minutes have been viewed of the videos
that I put out and if you look this
trend line I mean we've got some Peaks
up here I didn't really post in my blog
much at all I did one blog post will
look at that and then I only posted a
few of these to social media and I
really think that every peak here is
when I posted something to social media
but the overall trend line here is going
in the correct direction I'm very
satisfied with the direction that it's
going you can see on the number of
actual views that there's been some gaps
up and again it looks like I'm on this
current gap up right here so YouTube's
really enjoying what I'm putting out and
I'm gonna stay on the throttle with this
210 likes only three trolls or haters or
dislike errs showed up that is so
unusual for YouTube I expected more but
I'm happy with what I've got and again
131 subscribers now this is this is
totally an email list right every video
I put out my subscribers are gonna get a
notification up in the little corner I'm
my head's in the way right here right
here this number two will light up for
anyone has a gmail account they log into
Gmail they're gonna see a note of a
that I put up a new video so it is a
great kind of a type of an email list to
be honest I mean it's not an email list
ultimately one would want to drive
traffic to a squeeze page from this
drive traffic to affiliate offers with
this but I really just wanted to put out
the content and see what happened so to
show you real quick this is my blog
miles better calm and you can see right
here I did post in my blog once November
6th I started my 90-day challenge in
August mid-august and the post before
that was July 30th so this post was not
up before then so I'm showing you this
because I didn't really do much on my
blog per se I did embed a few videos
where it was relevant because I created
some videos based on some topics I
already had with that said let's go into
Google Analytics and you can see here in
Google Analytics this is the last month
and you'll notice what is going on right
now is this trend line with my traffic
is absolutely going in a very very
powerful direction this is very exciting
it took a long time so let me do a
little bit of
month-over-month comparison real quick
I'm gonna do just one month over month
so this is the previous 30 days to this
current 30-day session you can see I'm
up by about 70 percent so I'm trending
up about 70 percent more traffic month
over month right now which is really
powerful 70 percent more users 61
percent more pageviews so all those
numbers are looking very exciting to me
this is absolutely a way to drive
traffic anywhere you want obviously
driving back to your WordPress blog
where you have the opt-in pages and your
o tos and your funnel essentially which
we've covered in these videos that's
really what you want to be doing so let
me play with real quick a couple of more
I want to do year over a year so you can
see where my blog was last year if you
knows whose have flatlined orange is
last year blue is this year I'm up over
200% so literally that is about you know
like I went from 112 visits to 350
visits in this 30 day period that's
pretty spectacular the one other one I
want to do it's gonna take some quick
math so give me a
a moment here 21st 20th July 21st
through August 20th so this is going
before I started the 9th day challenge
just to look at what happened in the 90
days themselves and you'll see I'm up
about 20% I do believe I got that
correct so I'm not sure I don't remember
doing much of anything on the vlog
before but you'll even notice that the
page user way up the pages per session
and the average session duration okay so
I was I was testing some goofy kind of
like fake traffic thing that actually
didn't work so I was driving some
non-relevant traffic but what this
number really Clues you into is I'm
actually getting relevant people I'm
getting people on my website now who are
interested in what I've got they're
consuming my content and consuming the
ideas that I'm putting out which is the
beginning of the relationship building
process so where are these people coming
from this is where it gets really
interesting interesting and kind of fun
I kind of geek out on this sort of stuff
so now I'm over on a just a straight
Google Google com this isn't a new
browser you'll notice I am not logged in
so my kind of past history and the fact
that it's my channel are not going to
skew these results and I want to show
you a couple of things real quick as we
search I'm gonna do this live for you I
got notes of some keyword phrases so I
want to do affiliate marketing funnel so
affiliate marketing funnel right that's
what that's what this is for if you run
this YouTube traffic towards an
affiliate marketing funnel you will make
sales you will drive leads and here it
is this is my video right here showing
up on the number what's number four spot
like that's an incredible positioning
and if you look at it the contrast
between the colors also just the fact
that there's an image there is really
really powerful this is where I'm
getting a lot of my visitors if you
remember this was one of my most viewed
videos that I have out there but take a
look at this like wikiHow com is an
absolute powerhouse slideshare.net is an
absolute powerhouse of a domain I've
been able to leapfrog all these other
people who are really working hard to
get this place I just created this video
like that happened I didn't really
optimize for this I didn't realize that
this keyword was going to work right I
didn't make the video thinking this I
just know about funnels I was just
sharing what I know and teaching and
giving of myself and this was just one
of the topics I had to cover because I
do funnel stuff I'd do a Philly
marketing so I shared what I know Here I
am sitting on the first page of Google
and this is now driving traffic traffic
traffic traffic it's pretty amazing to
see this happen so another one is list
grow review this is a product by Mike
Dillard and I stuck the bottom of the
first page this is you know sue Bomi is
right above me and if you know sumo me
that's a really big website and you can
see this was the one other blog posts
that I did is I wrote a blog post on
this as well because Mike's kind of a
buddy of mine and that course helped me
out a ton so I was just kind of give him
back on that one there's no I got no
affiliate commissions or there's no tie
in like that literally his that courses
helped me a ton so I just wanted to get
back
David vu eBay so now my friend David vu
runs a how to make money on ebay drop
shipping he's a good buddy of mine this
is an affiliate program so if you
noticed right here this link is actually
an affiliate link and I'm I just stuck
the number two video spot but I stuck
the first page pretty much right away so
this is also starting to get traffic
people are looking at it if you look
this video above me is 58 minutes and
it's funny I know this guy he's actually
a buddy of mine so this video is 58
minutes mine's 18 minutes so if someone
goes to this one like man I just wanted
to get to the point more quickly there's
a good chance they'll come over to mine
and again I've got my affiliate link
it's even displaying right here so if
somebody copied this and went that
redirects to my affiliate link for this
product let me go to another one here
I made this video literally two nights
ago two days ago you can see right here
it says two days ago so literally two
days after creating this video it
instantly stuck the first page this is a
high I would say this is one of the the
higher dollars but not as kind of
spammed out keyword phrases for click
funnels click funnels runs a very
powerful affiliate program you'll notice
that it says my clip my link almost
showed up I might actually go in here
and tighten this up so my whole
affiliate link shows but let's click on
the video real quick and let it play I
will pause it so so we're gonna pause
that here and what you see is my
affiliate link loads right here right
like literally they click that they go
for the 14-day trial of click funnels if
they end up purchasing I make something
like 30 or 40 percent another thing to
notice I'm not logged in again right
this is a clean kind of account look at
all of these other ones that are
recommended these people after these are
all my videos right they're not
recommending any of my competitors
videos once they click through so I'll
here the first one this guy Josh Rhodes
shows up so what's happened is I've
shown YouTube through my consistency of
publishing that I'm a publisher I'm a
player on their platform I'm putting out
good content and they're literally Auto
playing the next one that they think is
gonna be the most relevant and it's got
a great tagline steel your competitors
customers right right after they click
that I mean this is what's happening is
someone's gonna enter through one of
these kind of external points through
Google and then they're gonna get caught
up in them the rest of my videos before
we know it they'll watch three four or
five of my videos and the relationship
process will begin they start to feel
like they know me if you've watched
several of my videos and heard me kind
of rambling like you get my personality
style you get like the nuances you get
that I don't really edit these things at
all I just kind of run with it and
sometimes like goof up and sometimes I
forget to edit things and I publish it
anyways I'm gonna show you one more and
I think this one is really cool opt-in
pages reviewed and you'll see right
there like that is huge
and if you if you notice one smashed
between right here
KISSmetrics calm and krazy-8 calm these
are massive companies run by really
really really smart and talented
marketers I look I just leapfrog
KISSmetrics
no SEO tactics on this video at all I
did not even do keyword research before
I ran the video which I recommend I'm
gonna do an entire video on how to
market on YouTube pretty soon to show
you the stuff that I've learned coz now
I'm getting better I'm doing a little
more research and that's why you're
seeing some of my videos hit the first
page of Google literally overnight that
one hit it's been two days now and again
so when they come in here the top of the
marketing funnel somebody who's
interested in building at the top of
their marketing funnel they're a great
candidate for click funnels they're a
great candidate for the other stuff I
teach and you'll see right down here
it's got these links in here how to make
money online course and this takes them
back to my website which is a three step
process that I've built and honestly to
be perfectly honest this should be a
squeeze page I should be getting their
email address before like I said I've
got a full-time job with my other two
businesses with my wife I'm really
really busy the fact that I've been able
to even cut out these videos and put a
basic like title on them is absolutely
amazing I didn't know I had the time to
do this so that's where I'm gonna go in
the near future is I'm gonna begin to
add these components and build my list
and grow my list which is what obviously
all of us should be doing but ultimately
this is this is powerful this is what I
wanted you to see and let's just compare
to the last previous period so you can
really get what the month-over-month
numbers are doing because the
month-over-month numbers are impressive
right the year-over-year numbers are
really impressive with what's been going
on here so if you are new to internet
marketing if you're growing an online
business if you're wanting to build a
platform YouTube is absolutely a
powerful and viable way for you to start
to drive traffic for you to grow an
audience of people who can know like and
trust you so you can then offer them
products that solve their problems you
can get them on your email list and
further nurture the relationship no real
fancy technology here I just kind of
brute-force grind this out and made it
happen how powerful can this get in my
wife's youtube channel that we've been
growing together for six seven years now
has over twenty two thousand subscribers
and in the lifetime I checked her
analytics the other day in the lifetime
of that channel there's been over 20
million minutes viewed I had to do the
calculation it's like 40 years have been
viewed of an individual's life but
obviously it was from hundreds and
hundreds of thousands people our biggest
videos have almost a million views on
that channel so it would be really kind
of almost frustrating I think if I would
have showed you how well that one's
doing and that's why I committed to
starting from Ground Zero if you haven't
started yet that's where you'll start
and within 90 days you can have an
absolute surge of traffic I mean look at
even this is this is year-over-year but
let me go month-over-month because
that's what's cool is these people are
coming back they're coming back to the
website they're looking more you can see
the returning visitors I'm getting like
51.5% returning visitors so not only am
I getting new people coming to take a
look at my stuff I'm getting people who
have been here before coming to take a
look at my stuff the relationship
building process is going
I have traffic at this point and now I
can build a profitable funnel and offer
them affiliate programs or build a
course on how to build a business online
and I literally this is it so this is a
massive asset I hope that you understand
that even having you know a hundred and
thirty four scribers subscribers is an
absolute blessing I cherish every single
one of those subscribers if you are a
subscriber I thank you for your time and
I thank you for your willingness to
watch and like my videos it means a lot
these thirty eight hundred views is like
over the top I beat my own personal
expectations and just because of how
well this is done I'm gonna keep on the
throttle because I think I might be
really gaining some momentum within
YouTube's algorithm and I want to ride
that train as long as I can so I hope
