OS 11.4 Released! Everything You Need To Know #Helpful Post

y guys big day today Apple is just

released iOS 11.4 is expected to be

either today or after WWDC but I'm glad

it's today so in this video there's

actually a couple of things I need to

cover with you that I didn't know before

this release so I'll talk about that and

basically summarize 11.4 for you

everything you need to know before

updating also talked about the

performance a little bit so just want to

mention that if you guys are on the beta

right now you will have to go into

settings and remove the beta before

proceeding so you'll have to go to

general your profiles delete the beta

restart your iPhone and only then will

you see it in your software update

settings I mean that mistake last time

on 11.3 so thank you to the people that

pointed that out anyways it's a pretty

massive update even if you have the

latest beta installed 2 gigabytes to

points you gigabytes and I also wanted

to mention that it did save me some

storage as well so before updating I had

46.4 2 gigabytes available after forty

eight point seven three so that's almost

2 gigabytes and a half that I was able

to regain just by updating to iOS eleven

point four so I'm definitely a very nice

side effect there of the update and of

course alongside this update there will

be several others as well for Mac OS TV

OS watch of us and for home pod so in

your home app this is what you're gonna

see that there is an update available

for your home pod now it's gonna look

like this home pod 11.4 and Apple didn't

mention this before it was kind of like

a hidden low key feature now stereo

pairing is enabled in the latest version

of iOS eleven point four of course you

do have to go ahead and update your home

pods as well if you do have to and it's

only two so limited to two per room I'm

wondering if there will ever be an

update for even more because I actually

have four already you know I'm just

scattering them throughout the house and

it'd be nice if I could play them in

sync off the phone and I'll actually try

it out here in a second but basically

update those and the process goes like

this this is a the sub notes in there so

calendar support is enabled like it was

previously predicted and each home pod

can sense its location in the room and

pair automatically so it's really cool

you're gonna get some really neat

acoustics depending on where you're at

in the room and the home pod will be

able to sense it so I'm excited to try

that out and when you go ahead and

select the update this is what its gonna

look like if you have more than one so

you can get the option to install on

every home pot here and I went ahead and

did that didn't take too long so let's

go ahead and try that out see how it

works

so I'm gonna go ahead and play this and

I wonder if the menu has changed at all

ooh so this is certainly new you can

select this one and it's not working

okay so you can select one oh and then

another one cool so you get the option

here from multiple this is certainly new

not something we had in the previous

versions of 11.4 oh can you really

select more no way no way you can

actually play from multiple right now

let's try it out this is gonna be boomin

oh yeah let's turn them all the way up

here block pin pump block

my name is on it Amsterdam flow she had

a long talk with in the coffee shop she

comes bearing that sexy thing AHA nose

wow that is amazing

so sadly the lag is sort of still there

but it's not as bad you know previously

when I try and play for my computer for

my iPhone on a home pod there was an

unbearable lag like he would be seconds

and seconds of it's really nice to see

that Apple fixed that so beyond my

wildest expectations Apple actually

enabled multiple support for home pods

from this app which is awesome stereo

I'm sure will be a little bit different

it'll work with just two I really don't

know if the acoustic part works with

more than two speakers but anyways

stereo support multi home pod support is

enabled of course you do get the multi

room support as well so if you actually

jump into airplay you'll be able to see

all of your own pods here if you have a

couple D selected they're gonna pop down

below here for different rooms so that

is Sony I can't believe how well this

works I can definitely say it was worth

the waits for Apple to delay this and

release it later that is so neat I'm

honestly like beyond impressed right now

so that's awesome definitely a good sign

for things to come of course you do get

new Siri commands with this update as

well so let's try that out Siri play

Ciao Bella in the office cool look at

that so she can play depending on which

room you ask her to play in on which

speaker so yeah really really needs you

get those new commands of course you do

get iMessage in the cloud as well with

this update so all of your messages will

be stored throughout on all other

devices if you so choose really neat

little feature and that's pretty much

the big

changes for 11.4 another one that I

noticed personally is the performance

unlocking with face ID is so much faster

from the lock screen now just definitely

really noticed that I'm hidden behind

all these cameras so I couldn't really

show you that there but it is very fast

the app switcher opens up faster just

seems super super speedy and like it's

got a lot of performance updates in it

as well

battery life hasn't been the greatest

for me personally but it may change with

this final beta I can't attest to that

just yet but performance is good if you

guys want to see the full review I'll

there otherwise let's go ahead and get a

geek bench going here see what kind of

performance differences we have versus

the last beta so this is what I had on

the last beta before this one and

afterwards this is what I got ten

thousand three hundred forty four on the

multi and basically the same single core

score so very impressive results here in

the benchmark can't say much has changed

as usual apples pretty much hit the roof

of that already otherwise guys that

there is I'm actually super psyched

about the fact that Apple is updating

and supporting the home pods properly

now within the music app so I don't have

to use iTunes to play it across all the

home pods anymore so if you guys have

home pods a huge upgrade if not still a

huge upgrade there's a lot that's

changed and again check out that review

the performance the battery life may

change it may not it was just my

experience so you'll have to see about

that I really can't say for sure if
