everyone and trust me I know I sold over
40 thousand dollars worth of $40,000
worth of product on Amazon FBA you see
right there forty five thousand
eighty-two in just one month and I'm not
like everybody else I'm not just showing
fake screenshots I'll actually show you
guys right here my merchant picker I
have multiple multiple different Amazon
accounts all of which are doing the same
if not more monthly sale so trust me
when I tell you I know a lot about
Amazon FBA not at all to brag in this
video is you're considering selling on
Amazon FBA I promise you you're going to
want to watch what I have to say before
you do stay tuned
[Music]
alright guys in this video you're
definitely going to want to watch till
the end I'm going to be breaking down
whether or not you want to start selling
on Amazon FBA if you're thinking about
it if you're new to this watch this full
understanding of whether or not you want
to actually get involved because Amazon
FBA has changed a couple of years ago
you could literally have actually listed
your fat uncle Albert's jockstrap on
Amazon and slightly used condition and
it probably would have sold and if
you're like me and you watch a lot of
YouTube obviously you're watching
YouTube right now you probably see all
of the other Amazon gurus who talked
about how Amazon FBA you can get started
with no money right you can literally
become rich from this and you can expect
your Lamborghini to ship to you next
week but the way that most youtubers and
Amazon gurus out there are teaching you
how to be successful selling on Amazon
FBA in 2019 is very outdated and in
often cases flat-out wrong the days when
you could just go and get a five dollar
logo on Fiverr and slap it on any
product ship in five hundred units and
expect to watch the money flow into your
bank account are gone right any business
whether it's Amazon Shopify a
brick-and-mortar business anything on
earth changes and evolves and matures as
more people come to it right and it's
just the same as Amazon is Amazon
oversaturated probably the question that
I get most often thousands of times a
day the answer is absolutely not it is
not oversaturated Amazon is a trillion
dollar company right one of only two
ever in history to reach that historic
mark it's expanding into new countries
every single day and growing a larger
and larger and larger at an astoundingly
fast rate so Amazon FBA is not saturated
but if your friends or enemies ask you
if Amazon is saturated tell them yes so
there's more for us but Amazon like
every business model is not perfect so
in this video we're going to be breaking
down the pros and cons of selling on
Amazon as a beginner so that you can
make the right decision for yourself and
remember guys like every business not
just Amazon whether it's real estate it
does not matter what it is every
business model has inherent pros and
cons and negatives and positives about
it if you don't know both you're not
going to get an entire picture of amaz
FBA as a business model so I definitely
suggest that you stay until the answer
let's get right into it
the worst parts about selling on Amazon
FBA the worst part number one about
selling on Amazon is that amazon
controls everything right if you violate
Amazon's
Terms of Service in any way Amazon has
the full and entire discretion of
shutting down your stellar central
account or your actual Amazon product
listing right so if you make any mistake
and it's not that easy to do this but
I've actually experienced it myself I've
had an account suspended before because
I purchased a product photography right
a photo from one of my suppliers that
they had actually sold to multiple
different Amazon sellers and so I
actually got hit with an intellectual
property claim and my account was
suspended and so what I did was I did a
plan of action which is what Amazon
requires Amazon sellers to do if they
have an infringement like this an amazon
did end up reenable in my account and
we've sold a millions of dollars of
products since that date but it was a
terrible horrible process if you've ever
dealt with having a listing or an
account shutdown on Amazon you know just
how terrible purposefully terrible their
customer services there's no phone
number to call right it's terrible
dealing with their customer service and
normally your account can be shut down
for 30 or even 45 days or longer while
you're trying to resolve all this and if
you're counting on your income coming
from Amazon while your account shut down
right you're going to be basically Sol
right out of luck and so that is why a
long time ago I decided to create
multiple different Amazon accounts under
multiple different LLC's and Amazon
actually allows you to have a second
seller central account assigned to the
same person so we've created multiple
different LLC's multiple different
accounts to mitigate that risk if Amazon
ever does shut down one of our listings
or one of our accounts we have multiple
other accounts that we can actually use
to continue selling products and to
continue having those sources of income
so number one is that Amazon controls
everything I never like to have someone
else control my financial destiny which
is why we created you know risk
mitigations by having multiple different
accounts multiple different streams of
income worst part about Amazon and
number two is what's called hijackers so
if you're just getting
started right you probably don't know
what a hijacker is but think about a
hijacker like this think about if you
own a convenience store and someone
comes into your convenience store that
you own everything in the convenience
store is yours you built it it's yours
right someone comes into your
convenience store sets up shop right in
front of your cash register and starts
selling your candy for cheaper than
you're selling it for right and they're
getting all of the money and they're
literally sitting in your convenience
store that you created you did all the
hard work for and they're stealing all
of your hard earned sales that is what
an jacker on Amazon is essentially it's
somebody else coming on to your Amazon
product listing and selling that same
product for cheaper most of the time
then you're selling it for and they're
stealing your sales on your product
listing and the only way to actually
prevent a hijacker from coming on your
listing and stealing your hard-earned
work is with an active registered
trademark and brand registry and the
hard part about that is that getting an
active and registered trademark in the
United States can take anywhere from six
to ten months right and so if you have
hijackers that come onto your listing
oftentimes it's very annoying to deal
with there are other ways to get them
off your listing like test buys like
sending cease and desist letters all of
which we do have in the Amazon and ninja
X course if you guys want to take a look
it will be down here in the description
shameless plug the good news is that
hijackers don't happen that often they
do happen depending on what you're
actually selling if it's a super popular
item if it's a less popular item you're
not gonna have to deal with it as much
which is why I personally recommend to
stay in that sweet spot of revenues
between seven and fifteen thousand
dollars per month when you're starting
to sell on Amazon because you're just
going to avoid all of what I call the
bottom feeders of Amazon right the
hijackers the people that want to drag
you down the people that you just don't
want to deal with and if you're selling
things like fidget spinners or products
that are selling a hundred thousand
dollars a month or a million dollars a
month I promise you you're constantly
going to have to deal with a ton of
different hijackers on your listing and
unless you have a registered active
trademark it's very difficult to
actually get those hijackers off your
listing and it's just an annoyance to
deal with so that is the worst part
number to dealing with hijackers coming
into your convenience store and selling
your candy for cheaper than you are
worst part about Amazon number three is
that like
every business model that evolves and
matures and gains popularity it does
become more saturated over time so
Amazon is slightly more saturated than
it was last year like every other
business because thousands of other
people have come in to the business
model because Amazon FBA is an
incredible business model there are
obscene incredible unbelievable at times
amount of money being made on the
platform which of course attracts people
that want to make money which is
basically all of us and the problem is
that youtubers and so-called gurus out
there are teaching that Amazon FBA you
can get started with zero dollars and
they're all teaching you know much of
what I originally taught years ago when
I first came out with the original
Amazon ninja course that you want to
find products that have less than 50
reviews that are light right for
shipping that are non-breakable
you know all of these different kind of
filters that are you know I was teaching
years ago now a lot of other people are
teaching which means that everyone is
kind of using the same filters when
they're doing their product research
which means that a lot of people are
finding the same products which is why
now how I teach product research in the
brand new 100% updated for 2019 Amazon
and ninja X course is very very
different than I originally did when I
came out with the Amazon ninja course
years ago right and so how now how I
teach it is to use your own creativity
in your own experience and to think
outside the box right and we go into
advanced filtering methods using the
product research tool that I use we
talked about how to actually do product
research completely outside of viral
launch jungle scout you know all the
main kind of product research tools and
we talked about ways to do product
research natively in Amazon that no one
else is talking about because it's so
incredibly important to pick the right
product and the problem is that most
people want a magic answer right they
want to be told exactly what to search
for they want to be told the exact
numbers to look for they want to be told
okay I what type of product should I
look for a product between this price
and that price with this many reviews
with this many monthly sales but the
problem with that is that if you copy
what I'm teaching or if you copy what
anyone is teaching exactly you're going
to be looking at the exact same products
that you know potentially thousands of
other people are also looking at right
which is why it makes a lot of sense to
join a program
not necessarily mine if you don't want
to but someone's program because it's
much more exclusive right read the
reviews look at how many people are
being successful right look at all of
the different people who've actually
joined their program and you're going to
get access to much more exclusive data
that's not available publicly you know
on YouTube or on forums or blogs or
whatever it is and then that is where
you know if you choose the right mentor
you're going to get the best information
that is not you know publicly available
to everyone so what is the solution to
not finding the same products that
everyone else is finding step one like I
mentioned basically before you have to
use your own experience and your own
creativity to actually do product
research about things that you know
about and what I mean by that is I am
never going to start the next cosmetics
brand right I don't know anything about
makeup I've never used makeup in my life
I don't know what makes a good makeup
products and what makes a bad makeup
product I don't know how to add value
and improve makeup because I don't
personally use it and I don't know
anything about it but maybe you do use
makeup or maybe you love camping or
maybe you know a lot about you know art
or something right you have to use your
own experience your own knowledge your
own creativity to say okay what's wrong
with the products in this space what do
I wish you know this camping stove had
what do I wish you know make it what do
I wish existed in makeup that a lot of
other people might see and you take you
know your own experience in your own
creativity and then you run the numbers
doing your due diligence properly when
doing product research and that is when
you find the true diamond in the rough
products right using your own experience
or creativity and then applying it to
your product research and then
interpreting the data and you find
products that no one else is finding
because you're using your own experience
to find those rather than the same exact
cookie cutter set of filters that
everyone's using to find all of the same
products and what I also talked about
very very in-depth in the brand new
Amazon ninja X course is to think
outside of the box right if all of the
Guru's and all the teachers and all the
people that you're you know learning
from or saying fine products between
fifteen and thirty dollars so that's the
impulse buy range right things that I
taught years ago then what I think to
myself immediately is okay I want to
find products between thirty and a
hundred dollars or maybe I want to look
at products that are over 100
dollars because not as many people are
actually looking for products in this
same range right I want to think outside
the box I want to you know interpret and
understand what people are teaching and
then I want to apply my own creativity
and my own ideas to it when I was first
getting started on Amazon there was
really only one person teaching Amazon
and what I learned from them is you
don't want to find you don't want to
sell products that are breakable because
you know you're gonna have issues with
shipping and things like that that's
great advice but I said to myself okay I
found this product that was incredible
numbers but it was a breakable product
so what I did was I spent two or three
times as much effort figuring out how to
make the packaging I'm so good that the
product would not break when it was
shipping and I've made millions of
dollars literally selling that breakable
product but if I had listened to him I
wouldn't have ever sold that because I
would have said okay he said not to sell
breakable so I'm never going to sell
breakable instead I interpreted that as
okay I need to overcome the fact that it
is a breakable product and actually make
it not break by making the packaging
better and then I've sold you know a ton
and a ton of that product so my point is
think outside the box when people tell
you things understand why they're
telling you why am I saying ship light
light stuff because you know the
shipping is more expensive but if I find
a heavy product and I do the
calculations and I'm still making $100
profit per unit then sell the heavy
product right so take what people say
with a grain of salt understand the
rationale and logic behind what the
teachers are teaching and then use your
own experience and your own creativity
and your own ideas to think outside the
box and add improvement and make money
where other people are not looking
because they just completely discount
something because they want to follow
the exact rules of what people teach
which leads us to step number two which
is definitely the most important step
which is how to actually make a product
better and add value to a product we're
going to get into exactly how to do that
in one second but I do want to give a
big shout out to our daily giveaway
winners and we are giving away thousands
of dollars of cash and courses and
prizes every single day so if you want
to be our next big winner and get a
shout out on our next video always to do
is two simple things drop a like on this
video and then enter down below it takes
like nine seconds to enter on our
giveaway link right here literally
that's all you have to do and you could
win a
and new MacBook Pro so if you guys want
to enter click the little link right
here and it takes like nine seconds to
enter so how do you actually make a
product better well that's a great
question because making a product better
is what differentiates long-term actual
profitable Amazon sellers and short-term
Amazon sellers that may be so one thing
and I have a tiny bit of success or have
no success at all so if you for example
want to get into the teapot niche then
you should eat sleep and breathe teapots
and what I like to look for is logical
bundling opportunities and what I mean
by that is that you're selling a teapot
maybe you'll see that people that buy
tea pots want to buy tea box and fill
tea filters or they want to buy tea pots
and tea cup sets right and you can see
this very easily Amazon actually shows
it to if you scroll down on any listing
you can see the frequently bought
together section and you can see
commonly purchased items that people buy
with other products and so what you can
do is make logical decisions and say
okay does it make sense to sell a teapot
and a teacup set or maybe I want to sell
two two teapots
maybe people are buying you know cut
more commonly buying two teapot sets
than just a single teapot and there's so
many different ways to actually use
Amazon's autofill feature and get the
data of how many different units people
like to buy in a single order or what
people commonly purchase together and
make a bundle my point is guys there's
ways to add value in so many different
ways and you think about at first and so
that's one of the best ways to actually
add value which in the in you know in
the end makes you have more longevity
being successful in any particular niche
and on Amazon and as always one of the
best parts about Amazon is as you start
to build reviews your listing becomes
inherently more valuable because it's a
huge competitive barrier to entry for
people to actually try to compete with
you so it's one of the best parts about
Amazon you literally get more valuable
as time goes on versus you know
something like Shopify or another
different you know opportunity as it
gets more saturated right it just
becomes more competition and you have no
competitive barrier to entry other than
you know an email list or something like
that but it's one of the best things
about Amazon and the last thing guys and
this isn't necessarily a bad thing about
Amazon it's just kind of the reputation
that a lot of the you know so-called
gurus out there have given Amazon that
Amazon FBA is some sort of hobby right
Amazon FBA is not a hobby I mean it can
be but if you want to actually be
successful and create a full time source
of income from Amazon FBA it is not a
hobby right Amazon FBA is a business and
if you go into Amazon FBA thinking it's
some sort of hobby you can devote half
an hour a week to and it's going to all
of a sudden start printing you money
then you're going to have a bad time so
what is the answer at the end of the day
is Amazon FBA worth selling on you know
when you actually weigh all the
negatives that we just discussed is
Amazon worth selling on in 2019 for you
unfortunately I can't answer that for
you I can only give you my personal
experience and the truth is not everyone
is willing to actually work hard and do
what it takes to be successful on Amazon
or to be successful in any
entrepreneurial venture but what I do
know is that before I started selling on
Amazon I used to wake up at 6 a.m. and
drive two hours to go 13 miles on a
commute to my accounting job where I did
the same thing Monday through Saturday
day after day after day working 80-hour
weeks basically just crunching numbers
in Excel I'd stay till 9:00 p.m. just so
I could avoid as much traffic on the way
home I would drive an hour home go to
the gym for an hour I was exhausted the
entire time I was at the gym and then
finally when I got back from the gym I
would watch 30 minutes of Netflix
until I started to get anxiety knowing
that I needed to go to bed early or I'd
be exhausted for the entire next day of
work that is what I did with my life
Monday through Friday or even Monday
through Saturday week after week after
week and when I started selling on
Amazon and I started to have some
success right it came quickly the very
first week I ever sold on Amazon I was
already making $1,000 a day and is that
common does that happen everyone no not
necessarily but I launched multiple
different products all at the same time
and so I started to have very immediate
success but the best part was not
necessarily the immediate success it was
the fact that I was working from home
right I was working in my underwear I
didn't have to get up and go anywhere I
didn't have to go sit through traffic
for two hours while I was exhausted to
go to have fake conversations with
people that I didn't really like in some
musty conference room I was literally
sitting at my house working from my
laptop and was it easy
no absolutely not I had a supplier that
tried to rob me I wasted thousands of
dollars
PBC I really had no idea what I was
doing to start because I didn't have a
mentor I didn't have a program I didn't
have anyone really telling me what I
should and should not do and I basically
made every mistake that it was possible
to make but after just a few short
months from the time that I ever heard
about what Amazon FBA even was just a
few months after I first heard about
Amazon I was already making as much as I
was at my nine-to-five job that I hated
and what I do know guys is that nothing
good comes easy and I know that's cliche
and I know it's annoying but it's true
right I worked extremely hard for what
I've created with Amazon and every
single Amazon account that I've ever set
up and every single product that I've
ever actually sold right some of them
haven't done as well and I've stalked
out of them and I never read some of
them do amazing and I have to reorder
often but what I do know is that every
single product in every single account
that I've set up still generates me
multiple six figures every single month
and I do no additional work to actually
get that money literally all the work is
at the beginning it's up front its front
loaded to build the infrastructure to
build the product listing to do the
product research to actually form the
relationship with the supplier but after
you do all of that there's very very
little work to continue keeping you know
that upkeep on the products themselves
they just continue to sell week after
week after week and month after month
that is the beauty of Amazon right
Amazon has multiple multiple millions of
loyal organic customers and there's more
and more people joining Amazon every day
there's a hundred million Prime
subscribers if you think about that
that's like one-third or one-fourth of
the United States pays for Prime which
means that most of the stuff they buy
online comes from Amazon and right now I
literally have thousands and thousands
of students who've joined the Amazon
ninja X program and who have started to
sell on Amazon and started to change
their life and has Amazon changed
absolutely every business model changes
and you have to evolve or die that's
just the simple truth which is why I
completely remade from scratch my Amazon
FBA course for 2019 and I called the
Amazon and ninja X course it has
everything that you possibly need from A
to Z
me to be successful selling on Amazon
