HOW TO DELIVER RESULTS For Restaurants Through Social Media Marketing


what's up YouTube this is Bryan hildreth
today we're going to go over part two of
the how to deliver results to social
media marketing clients the last video I
did I did a Facebook advertisement for a
high-end playground the Builder but this
video I'm going to be doing restaurants
yes most of you commented about
restaurants so we're going to create a
an audience for Facebook advertising
specifically for restaurants I'm going
to walk you halfway through this
advertisement by creating the audience
in the next video we'll go ahead and do
the copy for your advertisement to fully
complete a full advertisement for you so
let's jump into it so for this specific
example I'm going to choose a restaurant
of my choice I'm going to go ahead and
do raw sushi it's a famous sushi place
here in Orange County love raw sushi so
we're going to pretend like we're doing
some advertising for them you can choose
any restaurant niche that you'd like
whether it's Pizza or American Grill or
an Italian or Mexican restaurant but for
this instance we're going to do sushi
I haven't had sushi in a while and I've
been thinking about it a lot
I love eel rolls so we're going to do
sushi restaurants so the first thing
you're going to want to do is where are
you going to drive are you going to
drive traffic to their website to their
business what type of marketing
objective do you want we're just going
to go with traffic just to say basic
like I said I'm going to teach you how
to do conversions how to add a pixel on
to their website in a later video but I
wanted to do this video to really walk
you through how to build an audience
yourself get creative how to do your
research and how to really reach the
most specific amount of people that you
can for these businesses this is the
most valuable skill set that hasn't
really been talked about much so I'm
going to show you how to do it so
click on traffic this is our marketing
objective and if you don't know how to
get here you just click the drop down
tab in the right hand corner of your
Facebook page and go to create ads so
traffic we're going to name this one raw
sushi
it's a sushi place over in Tustin that
we're going to be specifically targeting
ads for so we're going to create I don't
know why it's I'm on my personal so last
time I was on my business manager
account I don't do any advertisements on
my personal alright so here we are we
are going to create an offer like I said
I suggest creating an offer it's going
to show it's going to show that you're
actually driving traffic into their
restaurant because people are going to
come in and show their offer on the
phone the Facebook offer so we're going
to do a happy hour offer when we're
doing an ad for a restaurant we want to
see what types of deals or promotions
the owner is willing to give away are
they already giving away happy hour
promotions are they doing a giveaway for
you know maybe a free dinner what time
of the day are they giving their
promotions away and what type of
audience are we trying to reach so for
Ross sushi I know they have a happy hour
which is very popular for business
professionals at lunchtime to go grab a
drink maybe meet new clients at the
sushi bar so we're going to specifically
do happy hour for this promotion maybe
your restaurant is a nice Italian
restaurant they do you know nice
romantic dinners so obviously your offer
is going to be a little bit different
your audience is going to be a little
bit different right you're not going to
be targeting the business professionals
that are going to happy hour on their
lunch break you're going to be targeting
maybe families or couples older couples
that you know maybe I want to have a
good time at a nice Italian restaurant
but we're doing sushi right now happy
hour so we're going to discuss with the
owner what
type of giveaways they're already doing
maybe they're doing a 25% off or 50% off
that's usually how it works 50% off
happy hour happy hour all drinks drinks
and rolls all right so sushi rolls so
it's going to look something like this
we're going to put a picture in there
they can redeem both online and in-store
we prefer them to come in store and show
the mobile app maybe they get a spent
additional 25% off if they show the
Facebook code I don't know what you want
to put it but we'll just do 50% the
point is we want them to show the promo
to the server the bartender or maybe the
manager in the restaurant so that's the
point for the offer
total offers available obviously just
make this a really big number so that we
don't run out and then you're going to
press create I'm just going to exit out
of there um all right now who are we
going to target right like I said happy
hour pertains to people that are going
to get drinks or sushi from you know
11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
right within that lunch hour so we're
going to target people business
professionals right so let's put in
location we're going to do Tustin
district because this is where this raw
sushi is at Tucson's in California we
are going to do a I'm going to keep my
radius actually smaller than 10 miles
because this is actually a pretty big
radius if you live in Orange County
Southern California you know that Laguna
Niguel is as far away from Anaheim so
and not the 10 mile radius so we're
going to go to 5 we're going to do a
five-mile radius
much more specific for happy hour right
that's that's very nice Irvine
Costa Mesa Santana Orange those are all
close to the Tuscan district so
depending on your restaurant I don't or
what time of day you're going to do your
promo for if it's for a nice dinner or
maybe a brunch or breakfast then you can
go with a broader range right but for
happy hour people aren't going to drive
more than five miles to go grab a quick
drink and lunch in a sushi roll so
that's why I'm keeping it 5 mile radius
you have to be specific with who you're
targeting and what time of day it is
who exactly it is so I'm going to keep a
5-mile radius
I'll keep the age of 18 right there's
some business professionals that are you
know 18 so we're going to keep that 18
to 65 that's totally fine demographics
now let's get specific people that like
sushi right boom sushi and now it's
going to give you a list of related
interests so Japanese cuisine cuisine
sashimi sushi lovers sushi bar I'm
literally going to put all these sushi
roll right because we're trying to make
it broad for this five-mile radius see
if she rolled nigiri um salmon and sushi
um alright I think I think we pretty
much covered all of it on here let's see
if there's raw if raw sushi is on here
people that have shown interest in raw
sushi ah yep raw sushi 113 thousand
people perfect
alright so that's very specific people
that have shown interest in sushi sushi
rolls nigiri tempura or even raw sushi
the plates that word talked on trying to
drive traffic to so now we're going to
go to
Brow's and demographics and what we're
doing here actually let's go back up to
the location let's zoom in we're going
to try to find all the business
complexes around the area right here we
have the vine business complex right
this is these are places that we want to
target because we have professionals
working professionals that maybe want to
get a drink on the lunch lunch hour or a
sushi roll or meet with some prospective
clients or what have you so we want to
do our research and see what major
corporations are in the area people with
some money that could spend on drinks
right financial advisors engineers
what-have-you but we want to do our
research and see what major businesses
are in the area maybe Microsoft is down
the street
I know Union Bank is down the street
from here so we're going to put in we're
going to I'm going to show you how to
target all the employees at Union Bank
let's go to browse demographics and
scroll down to work and now you're here
at employers you're going to go there
search employers and I'm going to type
in Union Bank because I know they're the
big Union Bank down the street
sixteen thousand people work there
perfect at the Irvine Union Bank which
is down the street from the raw this is
perfect so and obviously you can add
more you can add more businesses I'm
trying to think of another one that's in
the area Merrill Lynch Merrill Lynch is
another big bank in the area boom I just
targeted all the employers employees at
Merrill Lynch so we're going to put that
in you can also go browse demographics
work and if you want to even get more
specific and target specific job titles
right
at those places at Merrill Lynch maybe
financial advisors right you want to
bring in financial advisors in the area
because financial advisors because I've
been in that business financial advisors
meet with prospective clients out at
lunch right they buy drinks for their
prospective clients maybe at a sushi bar
or something like that some so we're
going to target financial advisors I'm
just giving you specific things and
specific people and businesses you can
target for the restaurant right we're
trying to bring business professionals
into the sushi restaurant so that is why
I'm getting specific with demographics
work employers and job titles now we're
going to go to interests food and drink
food and this is there's definitely
seafood there so I'm going to check that
we're going to go to cuisine maybe
something's in there Japanese cuisine is
already checked perfect all right let's
see if we got anything under restaurants
diners nope nope all right cool so we
got that down let's go to purchase
behaviors so I'm going to click browse
again behaviors purchase behaviors we're
going to go to food and drink alcoholic
beverages I will definitely mark some of
these because people like to get drinks
at happy hour right so you could just
mark whatever ones you want I'm just
going to mark those for now go back
scroll down a little bit more and let's
go to meat and seafood click seafood all
right that looks pretty good for now
just scrolling through here making sure
I'm not missing anything all right
and okay business purchases let's see
what we got here no we're good
buyer profiles I just want to make sure
that foodies definitely um alright so we
got that down you can also go to I
remember there was that one in here that
was like above average spending if you
want to do that you know happy hours not
doesn't pertain to that so we're gonna
leave that out but this is pretty much
the targeting I would do for restaurants
okay I'm definitely going to have what
types of food are offered at this sushi
place right that's that's the purchase
behavior and interests I'm going to add
in there then I'm going to add
demographics who are we targeting who do
we want to come into the restaurant I
chose banks big banks in the area
because you know financial advisors or
bankers people what the banks have money
to spend on drinks and sushi and meet
with their clients there for lunch so
that was what I used as far as
demographics you could even do job
titles right we did job titles financial
advisors and then with the interest
obviously we did a bunch of sushi
related interests so I hope you enjoyed

over how to write copy for your
advertisement I know I did show you in
the last video here as well edit

real quick Facebook we're going to
unclick instant articles unclick right
column unclick Instagram because we
don't plan on running ads on there and
then daily ad budget we'll just start
off with $5 what I would do is so since
we didn't narrow the audience on this
one because you know we really didn't
need to narrow the audience that much on
this one because we're trying to reach a
pretty broad range of people within that
small radius you know potential reaches
two hundred ten thousand so you could
you what you could do is figure out what
narrowing you can do put it in there run
that ad and then also run this ad which
is not very it's not too narrow you run
both those ads for $5.00 daily minimum
ad budget let them go for two to three
days let Facebook optimize the ad and
then go with whatever one's working
better
that's usually what I do so five dollar
daily ad budget and continue and then in
the next video I'll show you what type
of image to put what type of text we
want to put in the advertisement and how
to optimize that to really attract
customers to click the link and come
into the business so I hope that this
