here with my buddy Tanner Fox and today
we're going to talk about the affiliate
marketing we we've been getting a lot of
want to update you on our progress
Tanner do you want to update everyone
yeah so we've had pretty much zero
progress long overdue update but we've
encountered a lot of issues that we work
through and are working through right
now but looks like we're almost there so
as you guys saw before our first video
we're we found like a product we wanted
to promote we made the campaign and we
set it to go and we thought it would go
active and lands a video there put in
that about not going active and we
didn't know why so that we had to go
figure it out and then well that was the
the naked dog yep that one actually did
go active but we switched over we wanted
to do a different products bark box
which is basically the same thing yeah
and that one didn't go active and we've
kept wondering why and I know we're
affiliate newbies right now but we're
really going all in on this we want to
you know make at least what five grand a
month yet Rome affiliate marketing
that's our goal so you know we're doing
everything possible to get there the
issue was is that most affiliate link
are blocked by Facebook so you know you
can't just post that affiliate link in
the Facebook advertisement Facebook will
automatically block it so what you need
is a buffer you need either a landing
page or sometimes you can cloak the the
affiliate link but that's so that's what
we're working on right now is we're
creating some landing pages and enter
you want to yeah so we got the landing
pages we bought them we're starting to
make them but then the second issue
we're encountering is getting the
banners with our affiliate code to stay
on the landing page so for our landing
page we're doing kind of like a
testimonial for so our new thing we're
promoting is a survey website where you
can make money that's going to be the
props we're promoting through our
landing page so we're trying to get the
banners
everything to stay there but they keep
disappearing on our website and we
believe it's because we're not using
WordPress we're using Hostgator for that
so now we're going to switch over to
wordpress get that all done yeah that's
kind of where we're at now but once we
get that we should be all good that's
the only issue we have right now yeah
and then we'll create the ad and should
go active and then exactly go from there
yeah because yeah we know how to do the
facebook advertising we recently learned
how to embed the pixels on to our sites
and have facebook track that traffic to
optimize our advertisement so like we
have the advertising down and ready to
go it's just the affiliate link in the
leadpages we have trouble with so you
know within the next couple weeks we're
going to give you another update on that
because we do want to get this off the
ground and going we've been putting some
time into this and it's been a little
frustrating but you know we we never
give up so we're just going to keep at
it until it works and then hopefully get
to teach all you about you know making
money through affiliate marketing and
you guys can learn from our mistakes I
mean yeah this is the same way anything
really get started I mean I know I had
the same issue when I start amazon I was
so like confused not knowing why things
didn't work but then once you get it
going it's kind of just rinse and repeat
same thing over and over right or even
kind of that was like stocks and stuff
do I blew up to account so I lost six
thousand dollars that at the time was a
lot of money for me because I wasn't
making you know much so yeah but did I
give up no I just you know learn from my
mistakes and just kind of picked up from
there and just kept at it yeah by the
end of the year will be making five
thousand a month 100% no doubt in my
mind that will deal no doubt it is it'll
take a little orange maybe we don't make
our first of all or till June maybe we
lose money but it just depends you guys
can learn from what we do but there's so
many people doing this that it obviously
works and if it doesn't work for us
we're doing something wrong so we're
just going to keep adjusting until we
can get it right exactly so yeah we'll
definitely keep you up to date and I
look forward to our next video
