in this video I want to share with you
five really cool WordPress plugins
you've probably never even heard of
let's take a look

thanks for watching I hope you're all
well so yet in this video I've got five
really cool WordPress plugins for you
some of the free some of them are
premium but I guarantee that you've
probably never heard of any of them
they're really good some of them are a
not everyone is going to have a use for
them but maybe one day you will and
you'll thank me for this video so I
think that's enough chitchat for me
let's take a look at these plugins okay
the first one it's called cool timeline
and as you probably guessed it's a
plugin that allows you to create
timelines now these are good if you need
to tell a story about maybe a company
history or some of that or you know
events that have happened over a period
of time and using this plugin you can
create some really good-looking
responsive timelines and kind of move
about you can change all the styling
there's a nice little slider thing
across the bottom comes with a number of
different themes so you can yet change
it and get it looking as you want I've
just recently used this plug-in on a
project and yeah it's really really cool
I love it I've never seen a plug-in like
this and before I found this plug-in I
used to kind of fire up Photoshop and
put timelines together just using an
image and it was no way as good as this
plug-in there's also a premium plug-in
that is available I'll put links to all
these things in the description by the
way and maybe the odd card up some of
the links maybe affiliate links thank
you very much if you use them but yeah
there is a premium version available and
that offers you a few extra features
allows you to create multiple timelines
and all that kind of stuff but you can
always start off with the free version
say get on if you like it then I'd
highly recommend that you get the
premium version so that's plugin number
one and it's cool timeline the next
plug-in is called side menu and as the
name suggests again I mean I am choosing
plugins with quite obvious set of names
it adds a little menu to the side of
your site they're generally little icons
and it's useful for adding things like
print or email or you know whatever you
want really to posts or pages or again
wherever you want it to appear on the
site I was recently doing a project and
the client requested this feature they
wanted to floating
buttons as I mentioned they float yeah
they do float so the kind of static so
as you're scrolling there's these
buttons down the side I'll put it on the
screen now so you can have a look at the
demo but yeah really cool for kind of
adding things like I say about print or
share or links to important parts of
your website
I recently used it I included a checkout
button a print an email and a link to
yeah a couple of important pages really
easy to customize there is a free
version and there is a pro version I
went for the pro version I generally
tend to because I think your plugins
worth having then it's probably worth
the $20 but again you can check out the
free version see how you get on with it
and if it's useful then I'd recommend
getting the premium on so let's play
your number two side menu third plug-in
I'm gonna show you today is called
WordPress logo slider and again you
guessed it by the name it's a logo
slider which is really useful if you're
designing a corporate or company type
site and you want to put some logos say
on the home page or on the kind of our
clients page and you see these are quite
a lot on lots of websites and so you can
put some nice logos and they'll just
kind of slide past and it's got some
other features like you can make them go
black and white or you can change the
effects when people hover over them
really love this plugin I've used it a
number of times on different sites you
just simply create your slider by adding
each of your images and then you just
drop a shortcode into the page or post
that you want it to show and Bob's your
uncle there you go it works really well
this is a free plugin I think I don't
think there is a pro version or premium
version available so it's free to
download free to check out you don't
necessarily have to use it for logos I
mean you could use it to slide any
images you like really but yeah
particularly useful for showing off
client logos that sort of thing so yes
that plug-in is logo slider called
WordPress logo slider so we're like that
again you'll find all the links to all
these things in the description for
plug-in I'm going to show you today is
called responsive flipbook now the names
not so obvious in this one is it but
basically this allows you to create a
flipbook so it's kind of like a thing
that you put on a web page and it allows
the user to kind of use their mouse or
on their phone to kind of swipe through
and it has a nice kind of page turning
effect
I'll put it up on the screen so you can
kind of get an idea what I'm on about
now I'm not quite sure why you would
want this the only reason you would ever
want to use this because to me it seems
a little bit backward to try and make a
website look like paper because it's not
paper so why would you but I guarantee
you that if you are a web developer and
your web designer whatever you wanna
call yourself and you are building sites
for clients there's gonna be one day
where you go to meeting and a client
says oh we've got this brochure or we've
got this whatever and can we have it
said it looks like a real book and you
can like turn the pages and all that
kind stuff and you'll sit there and go
why what okay and you'll thank me for
this video and you can use this plug-in
to do it so yeah it's kind of useful if
that's what you want it's also got some
extensions or 2-dimension it's a premium
plugin as well I think it's like $35
over on code Canyon again you'll find
links below and in cards whatever
there are affiliate links thanks for you
use them but yeah as I was saying there
are some extensions for this plug-in
that allow you to for example convert a
PDF into a little flip book so it's
really good up doing what it does if you
have a need for it you're gonna love it
but unless you really want it recommend
putting stupid flip books up on websites
because it's not the 90s anymore and
we've kind of moved on from these
gimmicky effect things and whatever but
anyway I put you on out of it so I
thought I'd share over here so that's
flip book flip book pro responsive flip
book something like that okay my last
plug-in is pretty niche maybe a little
bit random but again if you have a
client or you have a need for this
plug-in you can love it I think it's
called WooCommerce license manager sound
interesting mmm maybe not but it's a
great plugin if you're using WooCommerce
to sell digital products say downloads
software well generally software it's
going to work best for thing
actually anything else that it would
work well with this plug-in basically
allows you to send your customers a
license key and kind of manage all that
kind of stuff when you're selling this
software so you might have it software
that it's only viable commerce and you
need to
set up the site so that it sends a key
to your customers and so this is the
plug-in that does it you just basically
upload all your keys you assign them to
a product and then when someone makes
that purchase it emails them the key and
it adds it to the order and it adds it
to the backend and all that kind of
stuff I say is pretty neat you're
probably not gonna need it if you're not
making sites that sell software but
again if you're a developer you may come
across a client that is and then you're
going to need this bug in so go check it
out it's it is a premium plugin I should
have checked the price before I started
recording
it's $36 on coke Canyon and yeah go
check it out okay that's five done but I
am feeling super generous today so I'm
gonna throw in an extra freebie plugin
and it is free and it's called add
search to menu some of that yeah it's
called that and as you probably guessed
name it adds a little search box to your
menu on WordPress which is kind of handy
a lot of people want that and they will
sort of search really quickly and yeah
why not add it to your site and searches
I think probably the easiest way to
navigate most sites nowadays so this is
a plug-in you install it and then it
just func adds a little search box to
your navigation so go check that out
and so you'll find all the links that
you need for all the plugins that I've
been rabbiting on about in the
description and yeah I'd love to know
