video you're gonna get to see the exact
results I've created from 23 months of
content marketing you're gonna follow
along in the analytics inside of Google
Analytics from my blog the YouTube
analytics from the YouTube channel and
also my podcast analytics to see exactly
how much traffic and kind of that that
exposure I'm getting based on content
marketing there's zero paid traffic
going on on this channel at all or my
blog or my podcast I'm just putting out
as helpful of content as possible doing
a little bit of keyword research a
little bit of search engine optimization
gonna see what that's created over the
course of almost two years just under
one month away so let's jump in shall we
first place we're gonna start is on
YouTube and you can see at this point
I've got sixty one thousand one hundred
and sixty-three subscribers that's
pretty amazing I'm gonna go in the
Creator studio which will take me and
show exactly how many videos that I've
created you can see up top 388 videos
that's in just under two years I've
created three hundred and eighty-eight
videos it started with a hundred and
twenty videos in a hundred and twenty
consecutive days but since then I've
really found those three videos a week
mark to be really really comfortable for
me
so now we're gonna jump in the analytics
and this gives us an overview and you
could see this is clearly an increasing
channel in the last month I've done more
live videos than I did in the month
before and I had a couple of really good
videos just come out my idea of the how
to make money online treasure map that
video seems to get a fair amount of
sharing I've gone in the direction of
how to make money online how to make
money with affiliate marketing and I
think there's more searches for that I
did wait until this point consciously to
go into those types of videos because I
wanted to have more channel authority to
bring to the table but you can see I've
got three green arrows here right that
means everything's up so my watch time
is up about four percent the number of
views is up two point three seven
percent and I'm about a percent and a
half up in the view duration these big
spikes are the live broadcasts live
broadcasts have been a good hack for me
to increase this average view duration
I'm you can see the likes are up the
subscribers numbers are up we're back
over three thousand every 28 days
I've never been able to crack the four
thousand in 28 day mark haven't got to
the thousand a week but that's obviously
a goal I'm going towards and you can see
the three gigantic spikes in the
comments are from my lives as well so
that's what I've got going here let me
do a quick little comparison here
okay so now I've got the year-over-year
numbers and you can see I'm back up
year-over-year in all three of the major
metrics it's a really similar channel
here it's just I'm staying in this kind
of million minutes viewed per month
range I'm saying in this hundred and
fifty thousand views per month range and
I'm totally cool with that I'm just
gonna keep chiseling away at it and keep
moving forward I see this as an amazing
amount of people I want to do one more
number show you kind of what I've been
able to create over in total of the
lifetime of things here
and here you can see the lifetime
statistics this is the 23 months
continuous you can see it took a long
time for me to get up to this channel
that I really got into I would say
that's about 8 months until I got up to
the kind of full traffic channel I had a
dip here maybe that was around new year
I'm not exactly sure when that is but
I'm back on an upswing here which I'm
excited about use the 18 million minutes
viewed to see that that's 35 years in 47
days view that's kind of a crazy way to
look at it
2.6 million individual views which is
pretty awesome over 21,000 comments
nearly 80 thousand likes 61 thousand
subscribers again pretty pretty powerful
numbers here and I'm really excited
about what I've created and again the
goal is just for my personal goals just
to keep going because I've caught this
groove I'm having fun with it and when
you're having fun doing your work being
helpful to others that's really that
that that groove just stick with it for
a few years and you'll be amazed at what
you create so I'm on a five-year path
and I'm barely I'm not even halfway
there so this is looking inside of my
blog itself you can see I've got a
couple of nice big bumps I definitely
emailed directly to my blog a few times
and then it's got a little dip here
23,000 visits from about 14 just under
14,000 people for a total of 46 thousand
page views total those are um pretty
exciting numbers and let's do a couple
of quick comparisons so this is month
over month right this is looking
short-term now one thing I've started
doing here on my blog you can see I'm up
17 percent month-over-month 15 percent
more users 18 percent more page views
these are huge increased numbers a month
over month some of it has to do with the
fact that I've been emailing my list
back to my blog posts because I have my
content team creating those blog posts
for me and I'm getting those laid out
very effectively but I'm also taking
some of my longer kind of really really
value driven emails and I'm adding them
to my blog so now I have two sources of
content for my blog whereas really
that's kind of new here so and that's
coming out of the fact that I've been
doing a 90 day challenge on my email
I've been emailing my list every day for
90 days consecutively I'm at the tail
end of that I'm somewhere in like 85 or
88 is the the day number on that so some
of my long really value driven
emails are now going on in my blog as
well so I'm just getting more content
the search engines are picking up more
things more authority on my blog more
search engine keyword phrases for people
to find more reasons for people to come
back so that's the the month over month
let's look at what year-over-year
numbers look like and this is where you
get those kind of drastic numbers here
so a hundred percent more people right
from 6700 to thirteen thousand six
hundred visits visit tours those are
actual people right ninety two percent
more sessions so from about eleven
twelve thousand to twenty three thousand
and ninety percent more page views this
is really clearly I personally prefer
the Google traffic right this organic
search engine traffic that comes to my
written content on my blog because I've
got a pop-up that displays I've got more
control over the user experience when
it's on my blog versus YouTube somebody
finds my YouTube videos there's all the
suggested videos on the side there's the
moment in any moment someone could click
off and disappear from this video I
don't have control over that environment
but on my blog I do keep really really
tight control over that environment and
it can be more engaging and I have a
higher conversion rate to my email list
so that's why I really focus on this but
I don't love writing I'm still
practicing a lot to become a better and
more confident writer I'm getting better
at it I'm enjoying it more now than I
ever have but still these videos are my
core content creation so do what's in
your DNA if you're a talker talk if
you're a performer do videos but if you
love to write know that I think there is
a little benefit to being a writer in
the way the internet works because
Google gets so many more searches for
people searching for solutions to their
problems your written content has a
chance to reach even more people that's
it in here I think these numbers are
absolutely fantastic they're super
exciting to me my email list is about
5,800 subscribers now so not growing
super fast in that world but just just
fast enough to be awesome to be honest
and then here we're in the Lipson which
is where my podcast content is hosted
you can see that last month so may I hit
60 300 subscribers or excuse me
downloads in June 5700 downloads here in
July we've got maybe a week left maybe a
little bit more than a week left so
I'm thinking I'm gonna round out
somewhere around that fifty eight
hundred to six thousand mark which is
all new kind of range for me if you're
not familiar with my three pillar
content strategy the idea is to get one
piece of content out and then syndicated
onto the major platforms so I use the
videos as my kind of launch point for my
content and then I have the mp3 file put
onto my podcast feed and I have the
content written out and copy edited for
my blog so it's effectively the same
content right so these all time of
50,000 plus downloads it's the same
content I was already putting out on
YouTube I just put a virtual assistant
in place gave her a procedure to follow
so she could take that content and put
it out on my podcast and you can see
thousands of downloads per month of
people who are walking their dog they're
commuting there they're working out of
the gym they still want to get my ideas
and the fact that I have put systems in
place and in the beginning I took my
time to create these mp3 files and get
them on to the podcast feed that's just
another way for me to reach even more
people because not everyone loves
watching youtube videos some people like
to read content on blogs some people
like to listen to content while they're
doing other things and this three pillar
content strategy is how I go about kind
of reaching each and every one of those
points and that's it so I'm really
excited it looks like and in all honesty
I'm I'm in a channel in most of my
content right my YouTube channels kind
of my YouTube content is staying within
a very similar channel it's not
necessarily growing exponentially right
now I would say my blog content is kind
of growing I wouldn't say it's
exponential but seeing a hundred percent
year-over-year growth and nearly 20
percent month-over-month growth is
absolutely fantastic I mean what
business owner in the world wouldn't
want 20% more traffic to their website
month over month so if you are moving
forward doing content creation remember
the big key here to remember is that
small things done consistent
consistently over long periods of time
is how you create significant results
right nothing happens quickly and
unfortunately things that happen quickly
on the web are the the backwards right
when Google slaps you and you get
completely D indexed overnight for using
a shady backlinking strategy which is
what happened to so many people in 2012
2013 2014 but those of us who have built
long sustaining businesses based on long
sustaining traffic flows based on our
energy over long periods of time know
that the key is just to get really
repetitious with the videos get your
frequency as high as you can if you
could do three videos a week great do
that and stick with it for three to five
years you can write three excellent blog
posts per week great do the work make
them excellent do your keyword research
your SEO optimization and then stick
with it for three to five years you'll
be amazed at what you create you can
effectively outwork just about everyone
over the course of three to five years
in just about any niche which is
something I'm proving here moving into
the make money online niche and the
internet marketing niche which are
extremely crowded spaces but I've been
able to capture a large segment of the
audience because I'm providing more
helpful content more frequently than the
other marketers who are on the level
that I'm on with the kind of skills and
experiences I've got bring in 20 plus
years to the digital marketing table
here not that many people with this much
experience are willing to share this
much in YouTube videos right they want
to charge for their expensive courses
whereas I'm willing to give it all away
I stand out I get the traffic share my
list grows I get to build a relationship
and this brings me to the cool thing is
