video I'm posing you a question
are you indispensable or are you
interchangeable
now we're gonna unpack this a little bit
think about this question specifically
from the point of view of your audience
because a lot of people out there
growing businesses online are
interchangeable whereas those who are
indispensable to their audience are
those who are creating long lasting long
term businesses so first of all what's
the big problem with being
interchangeable well this creates a
situation where it's a race to the
bottom as Seth Godin says if you're
interchangeable everyone just sorts by
price and if you're not that lowest
price leader in that situation there's a
really good chance you're gonna get
replaced at some point or another it may
take a catalyst like one kind of bad
response or one frustrating response
from your support rep or maybe it takes
three days to get back to a support
ticket and that individuals like you're
not really that important you're not
that integral to my business model here
so I'm actually gonna replace you with
this other one that's a little bit
cheaper what can me what convinces
people to make those types of changes is
a different kind of triggering event but
if you aren't indispensable so that
individual you're always potentially
going to be on the chopping block and
how are you ever to build a lifestyle
business that's gonna pay for your later
years fill up retirement accounts pay
off mortgages pay off debt when you're
just flat-out interchangeable to me this
is the biggest problem with the FBA
business not only when you launch a new
product on FBA not only are there
businesses out of China whose number-one
goal is to reverse engineer and
essentially replace you for cheaper but
there's also other FB heirs who are
trying to do the exact same thing and
Jeff Bezos and Amazon Corporation is
well known to reverse engineer that
manufacturing teams and the
manufacturing facilities for white
labeled products and they go create
their own at a larger scale to get a
better price and they obviously show
there's more often so these are the
problems that come with being
interchangeable so the real goal then is
to become indispensable now I do have a
membership program and that's not what
this video is about I'm not even gonna
plug it at all it's closed right now to
moot
members but I'm always thinking for my
that's my inner circle group right
they're paying me every month because
they want my help growing their business
so I'm always thinking what can I do
what can I create to make myself
literally indispensable for them this is
why I do the funnel reviews where I get
on live and I actually give them direct
feedback on their actual funnel on their
sales page on their landing pages etc
because that's something that really I
can only do sure other people can do
funnel reviews but I've been in this
game of making money online since 2003
I've bring a lot of experience I've
actually helped hundreds of clients grow
businesses through the internet so I've
had a lot of experience in many
different industries and they were able
to pull on those different threads for
these individuals in those live streams
another thing I just did actually two
nights ago I just launched my first
software product inside of the
membership and it's a YouTube publishing
tool that's 100% unique I've played with
the other $40 a month kind of YouTube
tools I don't want to say them by name
cuz I think they're all terrible they
try to do too much they take over they
got to run on browser extensions they
just they try to do too many things and
for me I have a very specific way that I
publish my YouTube videos and I'm
getting great results with these videos
so I wanted to create a software and
that's what I did so I invested I spent
money I spent time I've worked with a
developer to actually create a really
cool simple standalone tool to help my
members publish their YouTube videos
faster and to make sure they're hyper
hyper optimized the goal is really to
make sure that my members are out
optimizing their competition this
becomes their secret weapon right this
isn't something that's available
anywhere else it's not a tool that I'm
gonna launch out to the world because
then all of those other YouTube tools
could just copy it and steal it
instead it's something I've just created
and it lives inside of my membership and
now that's one little way that I've
added on yet another way I'm trying to
be indispensable for my members but
here's a thing not all of my members are
into YouTube so I'm already thinking
about okay how can I create something
like this for my members who are into
blogging and who do kind of search
engine optimization through their
WordPress sites these are the idea
that I'm thinking about if you'd like a
book that goes deeper into this idea
Seth Godin book linchpin is all about
this concept and one of the interesting
things is if you're working a day job
right now
he even recommends that you focus on
becoming indispensable at your day job
so as layoffs occur as we enter into a
recessionary period you are one of those
individuals within the corporation that
they would never consider getting rid of
because you're indispensable so think
about this for your audience think about
this for your customers if you're an
affiliate marketer that means you're
pretty much doing the same thing that
lots and lots and lots of other
affiliate marketers are how are you
adding unique value to your funnel to
your email follow-up sequences to the
lives of your audience members what are
you doing that makes you 100% unique to
the point where they would miss you if
you were gone that's one of the ways to
think about this and analyze this if you
disappeared would your people be able to
just go fill in the gaps and find
someone else to replace you just like
lickety-split I like to think that the
value I've been delivering through these
videos is on a level that sure you can
find other videos that are gonna give
you tidbits of information in the
digital marketing world but are you
gonna get to learn exactly step by step
how to do SEO keyword research Facebook
Ads how to build out your funnels
literally the DIY sales funnel 8 video
series shows you how to build all that
stuff out like if all of those videos
were gone there would literally be a gap
in YouTube and that's my approach now
maybe I'm going a little oh maybe I'm a
I'm a little more hopeful in that
situation I'll let you be the ultimate
judge of that but that's my philosophy
when I'm creating my content I'm trying
to create the best damn content I can so
if for some reason it's gone or if
someone else tries to replicate what I'm
doing that bar is set so so so high
because I put as much of my 15 years of
earning income online experience out
there plus I take the time to create as
in-depth of videos as I possibly can and
then I publish it for free because you
can get some of the content I've put out
about Facebook ads in $2,000.00 courses
it's really rare to find that same level
in caliber content for free on YouTube
that's how I'm working to make myself
indispensable at every level that's one
of the last takeaways here is I'm
focused on being
dispensable for you free Viewer free
visitor who just watches the YouTube
videos and loves them I'm all good with
that I'm happy about that that's what
I'm trying to do here but then for those
individuals who have subscribed to my
email list I focus on writing the
absolute best emails I possibly can I
drop additional knowledge bombs I'm I'm
really truly uplifting those individuals
I'm showing them what to do by really
being a proponent of create great
content every day for the audience but
I'm also doing that right I'm delivering
as high of value written content as I
can every single day to their inbox to
really make sure that they're making
positive progress on the path of growing
their business and that's just for the
subscribers then for my members my inner
circle members who are on that monthly
membership who've joined up there I'm
creating video trainings I've got
advanced video trainings I'm doing deep
dive funnel reviews literally giving
them exact feedback on their opt-in
pages their sales pages their funnels
etc now I'm creating additional software
tools that are available nowhere else in
the world to make sure that my inner
circle members have an edge against
their competition and when that's all
added up together and they have that
moment where the hmm you know I should
probably cut something out at the end of
the month budget let's see here am I
gonna let go of miles is membership
program I don't know I get so much value
from that that the $97 per month is
completely worth while that is being
indispensable if they think about you
when it comes time when that when the
things are getting thin we might be
entering into a recession right now and
people start to analyze their monthly
outflow they're gonna look and and
you're gonna be potentially on the
chopping block and you need to make sure
you're giving enough value enough
resource enough tools enough really
truly just value in their life with
whatever you do that they would never
consider severing that relationship with
you as a customer because they get so
much value for what they've invested
that's how you become indispensable I
think it's a really core idea for people
to think about a lot of people are
thinking how can I get money and its
really how can I go be indispensable to
my audience not just give value to them
but literally be that person which they
would totally miss if you were gone they
look forward to every email every video
every post in your inner circle that you
create for yourself you can do it it
takes a lot of thinking and these types
of thoughts of how can I be
indispensable for my audience Archy on
