in this video I'm gonna be showing you
how you can easily create a privacy
policy and a cookie policy for your
website now these are two pages that you
probably really should have on your site
it's like a legal thing and it will help
you with your SEO and all kinds of
things if you've got a proper site with
proper policies and all that kind of
stuff now I've discovered a great
service that enables you to generate
these documents really easily without
the need for a lawyer or anything like
that you can quickly generate fully
compliant fully legal policy documents
that you can easily add to your
WordPress website so let's get started

well so in this video I'm gonna be
creating some documents that I'm gonna
be using on one of my websites I found a
great service that enables you to
generate these documents really quickly
and you can customize them so they fit
with whatever you happen to be running
on your website maybe Google Analytics
maybe a contact form or maybe your even
an Amazon affiliate you need to include
all that stuff in a policy document now
in the past you'd have to go over to
lawyers and all that kind of stuff to
get these policy documents drawn up and
it would cost a fortune with this
service it's really easy and in fact
depending on what things you're running
on your site you might be able to
generate one for free before we get
started if you're not already subscribed

anyway that's enough looking at my face
let's get on the computer and get these
documents set up so over at bow-wow tech
code UK which is a Amazon affiliate site
that I created in a previous video
tutorial I put a link to that tutorial
in the description and it'll pop up on
your screen now in a card so if you want
to check that out then please do but
anyway when I created the site I never
actually got around to creating a
privacy policy or privacy policy however
you want to say it it's completely blank
and you know obviously it's a good thing
to have in fact it's pretty illegal
thing to have and I know that Google and
other companies on that they respect
sites that have a decent privacy policy
so it's definitely a good thing to have
but of course we're not all lawyers who
to create something that's actually
legal and you know covers everything
that needs to be covered get me quite
tricky however I found a fantastic
company this one here they called ru
bender you bender I I don't know what
they're called actually they're called
this this weird word here but anyway
it's a really good service and it allows
you to create a privacy policy and a
cookie policy kind of really easily you
can just kind of generate it you tick
some boxes in it and it writes it for
you so it's perfect now they have a
couple of plans available
they do have a free plan so that might
be good enough you really depends on
what services and things you are running
on your site but if you need to go for
the premium on let's look at the privacy
Pro we're here for the privacy whatever
it is it's nine dollars a month you can
decide how many sites you've got I think
if you've got the one site I don't do it
once I want okay one site yeah one site
is free or it's twenty seven a year for
the one site so that's not bad that's
that's cheaper than done lawyer isn't it
I've got the pro one I've got the five
site one because I'm going to use this
on all of my sites and I've got quite a
few so let's start generating oh and by
the way they've also got a fantastic
cookie and privacy notice and which I'm
also going to be using but I'm gonna do
that in another video so I'll put a link
that video again in the description and
in a card and you do check that out so
once you've created your privacy policy
and everything you can have a nice
message that pops up and people can
accept the cookies which again I think
is a legal requirement especially in the
EU I'm sure you've all seen them on
other sites those annoying messages that
pop up when you hit a site all about
cookies and you just click okay but
they're they're illegal things so do
check out the other video but before we
add those those kind of consent buttons
we need to have a policy that people can
read so you need to head over here I'm
gonna put a link up on the screen now
and I'll put a link in the description
to ie benda comment whatever it's called
it is an affiliate link so if you use it
then thank you very much but of course I
only recommend products and services I
use myself and I'm gonna be using this
one right now so let's go so I'm gonna
start generating it's a website that
we're going to be working on I need to
enter the site name or the URL even like
that and click start generating and here
we go takes you to this screen here
where we can start putting together
policies so first we need to add some
services that we use on the website so
hopefully you know what you are using on
your site I can give you a few clues and
in fact there's some frequently used
services here so
on my site I'm using a contact form just
type that in I'll see which bits of Pro
and which ones pant the contact form is
not a pro feature so that will work on
the free service it says this service
needs to be customized so let's just go
through here click to choose the
personal data we take name I think first
name last name I could probably go back
to the site and have a look can I have a
look what I've got here my form just to
remind myself name email message okay
so email address don't know if messages
is a thing for me not so that's why I
need to put for that one let's click
Save Changes
that's the contact form done what else
have we got so I'm using Google
Analytics so let me just do a search for
that I'm typing in up here because I
want to see if they're pro so that you
guys know if you need to to pay for the
service or you can use a free one
the Google Analytics that's another free
one so that's added there's no
customization needed on that now because
farewell tech is an amazon associate or
Amazon affiliate site and parikh and I
need to add something about that and
it's research for Amazon all my typing
is good today so Amazon affiliation now
this one is a pro thing so if you're
running an amazon affiliate site you are
going to need to pay for this service
but if you're not then I think you're
pretty gonna be fine with just your
contact form on your Google Analytics
because like you're going to be adding
much else now they have got loads of
different sections down the side here so
whatever you are running on your site
I'm sure you're gonna be able to find
find it in here and be able to include
it within your policy so let me just add
Amazon affiliation
and if they don't have a service that
you using you can create a custom on up
there so I'm going to add those free and
click Save and close so they're there
and we've got these advanced settings
here so you can force an update of the
document don't need to do that right now
and customize the way your site looks
refer to I'm going to go for your select
app name doing that better customize
internal links we don't need to worry
about that right now so let's just leave
that and let's click Next let's see what
this policies gonna outline so now we
need to enter the name of the company in
the address so it's Alex digital limited
I really don't like putting my address I
need to register my company somewhere
it's got an address but you'd put your
address in my addresses Kempston Redford
ship before we should put more details
but I'm not gonna right now for privacy
reasons until I've got a mailing address
or something like that
but you should put your your company
address in there will your personal
address again which isn't and I know not
too comfortable doing there that'll do
for now and then email is fine let's
just use that one which is my main email
just click Next okay that looks fine so
let's click Next you just office to
review stuff they all looks good to me
so our privacy and cookie policy are
here we can view like that so we can add
it to a site is with an embed code which
is really good because that means that
if we make any changes on here it will
automatically update on the site so
let's click embed takes us down here you
got some options here white labels
simplified privacy policy and you've got
a few options here as well so you can
either add a widget to your footer which
kind of adds these these buttons you can
use a direct link so it's just kind of
linking straight through to this site
with your permission policy what I want
to do is actually embed it into a page
on the
so I'm gonna go to embed the text in the
body I'm just going to copy this code
and there's a nice copy button there so
click that and then we'll do the cookie
policy in a second so I've copied that's
my clipboard back to the site here's my
privacy policy page and I click edit
page and I'm just going to simply paste
it straight in to the page hopefully it
will just work so you want to make sure
that you're on your text editor not your
visual editor because visualizer does
not like code and stuff like that so
paste that into the text editor click
update that should be done well let's
have a look
click view page there we go even matches
the font and everything so it's got this
nice summary at the top though it's got
the full policy all the legal stuff all
that kind of thing down on here so that
is that is cool I like that so let's do
the cookie policy as well while we're
here so I'm gonna create a new page or
anything I've got a cookie policy page
now I'm pretty sure I haven't so new
page I'll add it up here too we call
this page cookie policy
and then back over here and scrolled
down we got our cookie policy click copy
paste it in again making sure I'm on the
text editor click publish
let me just need to add this new page to
our menu so I'm gonna do that in
appearance and menus and this is the top
menu that's alright wonder so there's my
cookie policy at the menu just put it
there next to the privacy policy and
click Save
let's take a look at the site there it
is let's take a look
look at that our lovely lovely cookie
policy I'm really pleased with that
so yeah great service do check it out do
get your privacy and cookie policies if
you're not an Amazon affiliate site you
should be fine with the free version if
you are then you are pretty good have to
pay but it's sending out $27 a year or
something it's it's a bargain for legal
stuff I think so I hope you've got some
great documents now and you've added
them to your site and you're all
compliant and legal and all that kind of
stuff let me know how you got on in the

want to do is probably add a cookie
consent privacy policy type pop-up box
thing you know the ones you've seen the
one pretty much every other site on the
internet that annoying thing that pops
up when you first hit a site that you
know asks you to agree to the cookie
policy and why that kind of stuff you
kinda want to add one of them especially
if you're in Europe because I think it
is a legal requirement but luckily I've
got a video on exactly how you can do
that and in fact we can use the same
service that we just used to create our
documents to put a link to that video on
the screen now there it is go check it
