hey guys Pat here and I'm so happy to
share the final video in a series of
the pencils of promise or campaign we
built a couple schools last year and
amazing things have happened I've shared
a lot with you already if you haven't
seen the previous videos I recommend you
go and check them out because they go
chronologically from day one to day two
day three and now here we are on day
four and I'm not gonna give away too
much of what you were going to see a lot
of amazing things have happened but I
want to tell you really quick just what
has happened as a result of going on
this trip
I came back having a better
understanding of just the impact that
this amazing organization has had
pencils of promise org and one of my
first things on my list was to figure
out what I could do with them even more
I wanted to work with them be you know
even more because of just the impact
that I've seen that they are making on
other people's lives around the world so
I'm very happy to announce and I think
this is the first time I've really
publicly announced this that I'm now on
the advisory board for pencils of
promise org and you can see my name on
their website and all that cool stuff
but what that really means is I get to
make an impact beyond just the monetary
impact in the building of schools in
that way I get to share some of my
knowledge and my business expertise and
to help this company out in a way that
you know I get is just beyond the money
but I know is gonna trickle down to
eventually more schools and more help
for children down the road so I'm really
excited to mention that and I'm just so
thankful that a lot of you helped give
me the opportunity to share and go there
and actually get involved with this
company now in this video I don't want
to give away too much there's a lot of
really cool things that happen on this
last day here in Ghana including Irie
ders and I get to have a chat with the
teacher there to talk about the impact
that these leaders have had in the
program as well a little experimental
thing that pencils of promise is doing
to a few schools that they're working
with man just an amazing company so
happy to work with them and continue
working with them but for now let's get
right into day for Ghana here we go
our final day couldn't believe it was
already here but I was really excited
for a lot of what we were gonna see
because it was stuff that I've never
thought would be possible
we started off the day visiting a school
that's testing and using a new eReader
program and I learned that this has had
a major impact on this particular school
it has increased attendance rates it has
opened up a whole world of books and
stories and poems because before these
they only had what they had and that's
it
some new schools they always they want
because of barrenness they wanted AI
kids to come to this so their parents
are sending does they're sending the
kids series because of the reading goes
on there it is and he said that now
because of the Raiders they're also
coming to school just that's why they
don't come to school because of their it
is they are coming to school always
that's great
it's really cool to see how pencils of
promise is hoping to integrate
technology because technology is what's
making all of this possible in terms of
faster learning and because of the kinds
of textbooks and what they had to learn
with before they weren't very good
quality and plus once they use it one
times that's all they have access to but
now this technology is open up a whole
new world for them
and after at the tour this recessed time
and the kids wanted to play some soccer
or football so we played some football
next we went to another school to see
the pencils of promise wash campaign
which helps promote better hygiene we
keep every child in school stiff and
healthy and because we believe that when
a child is for salty there's no way you
want shouldn't we use you and when you
are more healthy you will not have a
sound mind
so by so doing we provide my chilis
quality time to have a spotter for
communities that do have clean water to
drink we have a twin water and we also
give water filters - mm water because
it's nothing
and hand washing stations who also help
them to practice hand washing with soap
and water under running water we also
organize what show for the teachers from
our various schools to join them in
hiding practices in half now to knit a
copy to my hands that sounds like
communicable needed disease prevention
how to keep our environment clean and
safe to be better hope that you see
that's all we do
but if I got to invent your big head
oh gosh why don't you wash your memory
too but I was man in the morning
there are many times on our hand which
we cannot see
that is why
thank you so much for giving us this
beautiful edifice which is promoting
have become a as town and we thank God
Almighty for our lives
it's not easy for someone to help the
other it comes from a benevolent heart
that is why we took it upon yourself to
help us so you want to thank you so much
and I believed yes to come when our
children grow up don't forget you do
remember those a society or an NGO who
came to help them and always pray for
you we thank you so much and we turn our
parade also for supporting us and our
teachers for me a very good job yet so
we are to say thank you when you go back
to your country when the good Lord bless
you with his umbrellas protect you and
shower all that goodness in your life so
that you can help many people everywhere
we thank you so much
all right so we're just finishing up
we're gonna head back to a crop and stay
the night there before we head back to
San Diego so they buy them funny
hopefully they're the right mother this
was a life-changing experience and
although I was happy to go home and see
my family again I knew that I was part
of a new family pencils of promise
family
and
to reflect on everything that we have
done and everything that will happen in
the future I couldn't help but come back
super encouraged and excited to share
this journey with as many people as I
could so I want to thank you for

isn't the end I'm looking for even more
ways to help in ways that I know I
haven't even thought of yet
