traffic did you see my video that I put

up it was last week yeah it was last

week where I went through some traffic

ideas sort of stuff I happy free before

but I think I needed to do it again

because people always asking about

traffic so they're not got any questions

around that if you remember I talked

about optimizing your site with Yoast

SEO that's the first thing you should do

when it comes to trying to get rankings

and trying to get indexed on Google so

wonder how you're getting on with that

and then I also talked about how you can

build some links using

question-and-answer sites using forums

by submitting content to other people's

blogs and websites for them to use on

their site and with the hope of getting

a link back to your site

so no questions yet well I thought I

might do is a bit of live optimization

maybe on a product or something so let

me just fire up a site and we'll see

what we can do

just firing up a boot boutique I think

that would be a good one to have a look

at

notice is that there is no description

on Amazon so there's an area that we can

improve on right away so we need to get

some sort of description I'm gonna head

over to Google just do a search for a

Mustang classic boot and just see what

we get

which one is it

it's that Brown thing maybe I need to be

a bit more specific let's include this

this number whatever that might be so

that's the Amazon history now if we have

a look at the Amazon listing I've got it

just here we can see that there's only

these kind of bullet points there isn't

any other real details you know so we

need to find out a little bit more about

this boot and make up our own so let's

see if I can find another page it's this

one wondering if we can have a look at

the Mustang like official site so we

would find that do they have a proper

site this one I think

such classic boot I don't see the one

that's on a missile is it that one could

be no this one's more suede it looks

like it's not on here that's not a

problem I have to make some stuff up so

I'm gonna go to the product first I'm

going to do is I'm going to set a focus

keyword so this is what gonna be

optimizing around I'm going to call it a

matters too much so

again key facts I will come to your

right now so if you're saying stuff just

do to the Meta Description is this but

it needs to be specified it's using the

how you optimize a product on a Woo's

own site you need to go through add some

good descriptions include the keyword

add all the facts because it doesn't

always come over from Amazon or

sometimes it's not an Amazon to start

with so you kind of you've got an

opportunity there to you know be better

than Amazon in terms of how your

products look and and the kind of

information they have a few more

improvements here you could add some alt

attributes to the images it says do have

an outbound link and your show title is

too short so we can make this title a

bit longer I'll just click here Mustang

never know who's gonna find you and he's

gonna get you details plus you'll get

less marketing calls which is the worst

Amazon sales down have now moved to ebay

promotions and sale back up slightly but

have a look for analytics and see if you

can figure out what's changed is there

traffic source that's decreased and then

if there is one then you can maybe look

into what's happened maybe you've lost

some search engine rankings maybe

someone's removed a link that you once

had you know it's worth just having a

good look at your traffic sources and

seeing what's changed

ferma says I couldn't survive without

manage to repeat I know Alex does not

recommend update straightaway but I

can't leave old plugins on my sites I

only said don't update straightaways

because a lot of people did update

WooCommerce the other week straightaway

and they broke their size so I was like

to wait a little while just to make sure

that any other plugins that are

dependent on a plug-in like WooCommerce

that they've always been updated to

otherwise you can have problems but I

know it's very hard to resist when you

got that little number there you go some

so in terms of videos coming up I'm

gonna do another Kingdom video it's time

I've had a few comments recently where

people have followed my videos from last

year and obviously Kingdom has changed

quite a bit so they've been you know

getting annoyed through the videos are

quite match so I'm gonna do a new

Kingdom video on a new site I've got a

niche in mind that I'm gonna go for so

that's some interesting and then I'm

also going to maybe start doing some

videos on other things other than Amazon

affiliate so some CPA type sites we're

promoting cpa offers and you know just

other areas within affiliate marketing

different sorts of sites so look out for

those can't promise exactly when I'll

get those done by but as soon as I

possibly can have been procrastinating a

little bit recently so I need to give us

our kick get recording

FLH 15 I've followed all your videos so

far know what you think on a way to get

traffic I can you should watch my video

from last week I go for a few ideas to

get traffic so the first thing is

obviously to optimize your site as I've

just shown you optimize your products

your posts pages submit a sitemap to

Google Webmaster consoles consoles

console even I think there's anyone and

then you need to start building some

links and you can do that in a number of

ways one of the best ways is to find so

many good authority sites or you know

fairly popular sites and ask them if

they'd like some content some of them

have a form that you can just fill in so

they'll have a page that says write for

us or submit an article go there submit

them a really good article that they're

just not gonna be out of resist

obviously with a link to something on

your site I scrape away building some

links and but you can also engage in

forums and question arts for science and

on social media they're all great ways

of building links and getting some

traffic but you do check out the video

from last week and I go into more detail

cookie that is the Amazon 98 cookie

thing so that means that if someone gets

redirected off to Amazon from your site

and then they buy that stuff within 90

days you'll get your Commission show

gallery in a proto description that's

the image gallery Internet yes or no I

think no it's fine because the images

are generally bought in as kind of

additional images within WooCommerce so

you can take the featured image from the

product gallery so that stops it from

showing twice for a short description

yes or no if you don't eat I don't know

why you wouldn't want to use that you

turn the reviews on off so that's the

Amazon reviews here you can change the

message that people get when they're

being redirected to Amazon here you can

adjust the number of seconds it is

before they get redirected so you could

do it quicker or slower here you can

change the button by text so this is

when you turn off the on-site cart with

that setting that we just looked at not

long at the top this one here change

that to no and then you can change the

button to say what you like so it could

be you know buy on Amazon or Buy Now or

whatever you like you could see set if

they open in a same tab or new tab

probably you'd want a new tab that way

they don't leave your sight here's the

remote was an images so this is when it

serves image is straight from Amazon

rather than on your server this needs to

be set to yes we said no then you're

breaching

Amazon Terms of Service here you can

decide which images you want to bring in

normally I move them all to the right I

think if they're all to the left and it

will do all of them if they're all to

the right of do all of them if you just

move a few to the right it'll just do a

few I don't know why you'd want to

adjust that really show additional

images yes you can add some extra CSS

here and then we don't often do that we

know we do the extra CSS in a theme

level soup I'm not going to use that

here you can turn on the country box

you've probably seen it if you've got

multiple Amazon IDs from different

countries you can have that little box

that shows the availability and allows

people to choose which country they want

to check out here you can decide where

it's gonna be with us before the cup

after the Cart button you want to show

some flags on that box if you do here's

the option do you want to show us links

if you do is the option here's the as

off text font size that's quite useful

one so when you've got a product like

this one you've got this little thing

that you need in order to be compliant

with Amazon you can adjust that size

make it bigger or smaller probably small

is good but not too small that you can't

read it

delete attachments so this is not really

relevant if you're using remote images

if you're not using remote images and

you're importing the images onto your

site which I say is a bad thing because

Amazon don't like that you can set this

to yes so that when you delete products

it will remove those images as well turn

on and off course selling I'll leave

that on how many products you want on

the cross selling and which variable

products do you want to show on the

cross selling so either the first one or

the lowest to the highest and products

with missing off the listing ID I don't

know what that option does there's a few

that I don't know we have a look at the

import settings well I mean I think this

is probably a little bit boring but

let's go for it so you want to import

the attributes generally you do I am

importing all of them so attributes

things like size and color and all that

kind of stuff very useful to have

you could beautify it so things like

this where they're like benefit

description brows well there's no spaces

based it's gonna add some spaces here's

your prices said you want to bring the

prices in from Amazon want to show other

sellers it generally brings in the

cheapest price I have this set to only

Amazon of if you having problems with

synchronization generally if you set to

this sometimes the synchronization

doesn't work get import products from

Amazon and all other sellers a lot of

you not a lot of you should say a few of

you emailed me last week saying that

when you're trying to import products

you're getting an error message saying

that it was not an Amazon product the

reason is is that when you do a search

generally shows you all the products and

then if you try and import stuff that's

sorry and then if you've got this set to

only Amazon and you try and import stuff

that's not on Amazon is just from other

sellers it throws an error so you're

pretty good on that to Amazon and other

sellers import products will price zero

no I don't see why they don't do that

import variation yes you're an important

January all the variations especially if

you've got size or color based products

import that's published where you can

set stuff to draft then you can go for

it manually and optimize it and then

publish it you want to download the

images import try it asynchronous image

download I found the asynchronous

doesn't always work very well I see what

that means is it should do it in the

background so you can go off into other

stuff I didn't all that setting is

probably leave that cron number of

images 100 again that's these gonna be

down to performance you generally not

gonna want to mess with these number of

images all of them image names that the

product title rather than a random

number that's better for SEO you can

spin stuff on import I'd be careful with

that can make the words a bit gibberish

create any parent categories that's

sometimes a good thing because the

categories from Amazon can be quite

messy so generally I'd recommend the

importance your own categories force

import if there is variation

child product it will make sure that it

imports the product the parent product I

don't know what those two settings are

that'll do I will do a video on that

where I know what those settings are
